The day after our wedding, my husband and I were talking about favorite moments and things from our big day. The first words out of his mouth? The flowers. And he's right - we had the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen in my life, and they were totally "us" - big, overflowing, undone, and filled with all sorts of gorgeous different types of blooms. The only thing better than Allison Song's work is her sweet self! She dropped by and foraged greenery and fillers from our own garden after I mentioned it would be so special to us to have some plants from our home in the bridal party bouquets and greenery crowns. Where we had asked for something like garden roses or ranunculus, she gave us each of those plus pieris, helleborus, Japanese peonies, blushing bride, butterfly bush, ferns, confederate jasmine, anemones, camellia, grapevine, fig ivy, all tied off with vintage velvet ribbon I'd saved for the wedding. Rosemary and azalea crowns were individually tagged to make sure the flower girl, bridesmaids, and I each got the right crowns. Everyone at our wedding kept commenting on the beautiful flowers, and my parents were grinned ear to ear to see that the plants they'd given us for our home were also part of the bouquets. My only regret is that Chad and I can't get married every weekend and get to enjoy Allison's insanely thoughtful, beautiful work every day!
