Allison was an absolute pleasure to work with from the start. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable at both our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. We had several long phone conversations leading up to the wedding to make sure the timeline and plan were nailed down. On the actual wedding day it felt like she was just another friend hanging out for the day. On top of her being a wonderful person, her photography skills are second to none. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to capture our special day!

Allison was the second photographer at our June 1, 2019 wedding (yes, I'm writing a review for our second photog, because yes, she is that good!), and we felt so incredibly lucky to have her talent added to our photographer’s. It was so funny I had actually already been following her on Instagram and when my photographer said she confirmed Allison – I honestly freaked out. And after meeting her the day of our wedding, I instantly knew she not only was amazingly gifted, but such a good person! She had the tougher task of dealing with our rowdy boys side, so I know she's a saint for it. Thank you for joining in on our day, Allison! Meant the world.

Choosing a photographer for your wedding is one of the more important choices you are going to have to make. Choosing Allison was far and away the best decision we could have made. From the moment we initially contacted her she made us feel at ease throughout the planning process. She was extremely professional and personable from the very first phone call to the day of our wedding. Not being the most photogenic, my husband and I were nervous with the thought of having a stranger catching these moments that were going to be our most memorable. Allison went above and beyond the call to ensure that we were not only comfortable but actually enjoyed every minute of the day. Her candid style photos was what had drawn us to her and she did not disappoint. Being photographed, especially when you're not use to it, can be intimidating but with Allison's creative eye and kind guidance- it was a breeze. She was helpful when we were unsure of ourselves but also let us be ourselves and those were the photos we continue to cherish today. She was incredibly thoughtful and made sure to get those important family and bridal party shots but very talented in catching those intimate/ candid moments you don't normally think about. It's like you couldn't tell she was there! So, to summarize, if you're looking for a great photographer, look no further, Allison is your girl!

We loved working with Allison. I have worked with many photographers throughout my career as a photo editor and always knew it would be difficult to find a wedding photographer that could meet my high expectations due to my industry experience. When I found Allison, I knew she was the perfect match for us. She fit the profile: beautiful photographs, light and funny demeanor but very detailed planning and scheduling. Not only is she an amazing photographer and listens to exactly what you are looking for, she is willing to go above and beyond to get the perfect shots. My husband and I are both a little camera shy but after multiple phone calls with Allison leading up to the big day, we felt confident and actually excited for our first look photo session. When our wedding day arrive and we finally got to meet Allison in person, the tiny bits of anxiety quickly disappeared because of her fun and light personality. She made us feel comfortable which ultimately showed in the photographs. Do yourself a favor and hire Allison!

Allison is 100% a true professional. My husband and I had her take our engagement photos. We decided to take the photos on the ferry from Manhattan to New Jersey we both took MANY times while we were dating. The photos captured our love so perfectly. I included one photo in my wedding invite and I had so many people tell me how unique and beautiful it was. Not only is her work creative, but the whole process from booking to photo delivery was seamless. My favorite part about Allison's work is how natural she made my husband and I feel during the session (we even ate ice cream!) The final product was beyond my expectations (I usually hate looking at photos of myself!) and I even had my favorite photo blown up on a canvas and it sits above my bed now :)

I found Allison through a friend who had used her for her own wedding. When she posted some of her wedding photos online I was blown away by Allison's work and immediately looked her up. Booking Allison was one of the best and easiest decisions of our wedding planning process. When it comes to planning and prep, Allison is very professional and warm. She sends a ton of detailed information about how the process works and different packages available, and answers any questions quickly and clearly. You can also tell that she really cares about what aspects of your day are most important to you and brought a really warm, personable approach to all of our discussions. I felt like I was in really good hands during the whole planning process. On the day itself, Allison was wonderful to work with. I am not very comfortable having my picture taken and photography was one aspect I was pretty nervous about. But Allison and her assistant were infectiously happy and kind and totally put me at ease. Having mostly candid photos was very important to me, and she more than delivered. Our photographs capture every moment--big and small--as they naturally unfolded. They are so authentic and genuine because they really are; Allison is able to find those moments without being intrusive or invasive to the natural flow of the party. Photography is one of the few things from your wedding day that you'll be able to hold, keep and cherish long after the day is done. By choosing Allison Sullivan, we have so many beautifully organic moments from our day frozen in time, and I am very grateful to have found her!

Allison is a joy to work with. Not only was she cheerful at 7:30 in the morning on a frigid winter Saturday when we did our engagement shoot, but she was also professional and well prepared, having scouted our suggested photo shoot locations the day before and even found some fun surprise spots for photo ops we hadn't yet discovered. My husband Ben and I think about our engagement shoot often and in addition to being incredibly pleased with the photos and gallery/ordering experience, we have fond memories of the whole day. It's evident in Allison's demeanor that she loves to capture love and it shows in her work. We felt like we were just on a really fun (early morning) date, laughing and being ourselves, and Allison was in the background, snapping pictures and giving suggestions when appropriate. I would recommend her to any bride or groom!

I can't even put into words how much we loved Allison, not only as our photographer, but as a person. Her work speaks for itself (I've never felt so pretty! haha), and her approach makes everyone so comfortable. We had a blast working with her, and she brought a second shooter who extended that vibe perfectly. Throughout our engagement shoot and the entirety of our wedding, we felt like she was consistently bringing us back to why we were doing this in a way that made us cherish the whole process even more. Hire her, hire her, hire her!

A photographer is often a stranger you essentially invite to the most personal parts of your wedding -- having Allison in that role will be one of the best, most comforting decisions of your wedding. Allison is a lovely, funny, warm person, and that is apparent in her photography. She is an empathetic artist, able to see and capture the flickers of emotion that are plentiful, but fleeting during a wedding day. Her approach to shooting is natural, but always well considered and organized -- she carefully plans and captures the shot list, but also finds hundreds of unplanned moments in between. She is masterful with light, color, and location. That's apparent in work-- not matter who or when or where, she can find the right way to enhance the scene and make it feel special. In addition to all this, she's absolutely so organized, responsive, and professional -- a practical bride's dream. My husband and I love Allison and highly suggest that you book her for your wedding.

Allison is amazing!! So glad we found her. We were looking for a photographer that would capture more natural photos, rather than anything cheesy/staged and are absolutely thrilled with our photos from Allison. Not only did the end result exceed our expectations, but Allison was an absolute joy to have around on wedding day too. She and Sarah (second photographer) were fun and laid back while still making sure everything was done perfectly. Would absolutely recommend. Thank you Allison!!

Allison was our favorite vendor! She's so great to work with - professional, personable and always has a smile on her face. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and that's capturing love. Our photos are not only gorgeous, but they look real and authentic, nothing cheesy or staged. It was such a pleasure working with Allison and I couldn't recommend her enough!!!

Allison is an incredible wedding and portrait photographer. She is so professional, kind, and personable, and everyone in our wedding party was impressed with her leadership during our photo session. She is very organized, efficient, and fun, and we were very happy with the results—the photos are gorgeous and we will treasure them forever. Highly recommended!

Allison was extremely professional and overall fantastic! We did both engagements and our wedding with her and loved all the photos. Because our wedding was more of a weekend affair, we needed a photographer for 2 days and Allison was very accommodating and willing to work with our crazy schedule. Not only did we love the quality and variety of photos we received from both the engagement session and the wedding, but the turnaround was so quick! I had a friend that got married a month before us and we got our pictures back weeks before she did. All of the pictures really captured our happiness that day and caught all the moments we wanted to treasure forever!

Allison did a terrific job with our wedding photography. We got married in a contemporary art museum, so I knew the photos had to be as beautiful as the art surrounding us. The photos were gorgeous. Leading up to the wedding she really listened to my ideas and made sure she understood the overall vision of the wedding and what I liked and didn't like in wedding photographs. During the shoot she was upbeat and professional. She did a great job of utilizing our time well and capturing the uniqueness of the space. I especially loved the way she captured small details of that day--things that are easy to forget about but become so special when you look back at the photographs.

Allison made us feel so comfortable and relaxed while we were being photographed for our engagement pictures. She was enthusiastic and full of energy which made the time spent getting photographed fly by. She went above and beyond to get the perfect shot and we loved her ability to capture our emotions at this happy and exciting time. Allison has an eye for detail and is very creative making her photographs unique and interesting to look at. We are so pleased with our experience working with Allison and absolutely love that we have such great photographs to look at and remember our engagement as well as our time living in New York City.

Allison is phenomenal! We hired Allison for our engagement photo shoot and wedding. She was professional, considerate, and went above and beyond to make our photos look stunning. Allison was flexible and willing to work around a hectic wedding schedule. We loved Allison and the photos she took of us so much we even hired her again to do a three year anniversary shoot! I would highly recommend Allison and hope to use her again for future special moments.

Allison photographed both our engagement shots as well as our actual wedding. As two very picky visual people (an architect and an art historian), choosing Allison as our photographer was such an important decision, because we knew, among all of the things to worry about during one's wedding, we needed to NOT be stressed about how the day was being documented. Allison was such a calming presence to have throughout the whole day and made both our families feel at ease. To this day (5 years later) when we are looking at wedding pictures with our families, Allison's name comes up! People remember her. She was not just an in-the-background person like you might find other wedding photographers to be, but actual made our day nicer and brighter with her cheerfulness and enthusiasm. And the final product is everything we hoped for. Looking around me right now, in our 460 sq ft apartment, our tightly-curated walls have no less than 5 of her images up :)

We were so glad that we chose to have Allison photograph our wedding! We felt totally a ease with her. She photographed our engagements, and was able to get beautiful, glowing, and tender shots even though the day we picked was hot and muggy. I almost never like photos of myself--I'm don't feel very photogenic--but Allison's photographs made me look beautiful. She has a gift! At our wedding, Allison was self-directed, creating a good mix of portraits of the wedding party, details from the reception, and candids. Our wedding photographs are gorgeous, and we are so happy with the memories Allison captured!

When I first met Allison, she quickly became a friend. She listened to my wants/needs and genuinely cared about my big day. You can tell how passionate she is about the work--she puts in the time and effort to make everything just right. She's incredibly creative and loves to try new things. I loved her style, but I also appreciated her getting to know my own personal style so we could work together to create something that would be just right. It was so reassuring knowing that she listened to what was important to me and adjusted. For example, I told her how much I love New York City and how much I wanted to blend my love of nature with the beauty of the city. In both our engagements and wedding photos, she did just that. When it came time to order pictures, my husband and I had such a hard time picking what we wanted because there were too many great choices. I highly, highly recommend Allison. I can't say enough good things about her. Not only will the experience be professional, but personal and fun. Love her!
