t married on the beach. Mind you me my wife had nothing to do with the planning. All i had told her wad that we were getting married in Hawaii and on the beach. Diana made everything so simple for me. I told her that it was just going to be a very simple personal wedding. Just my wife and I alone with a friend that lives on the island that was our wittnes. I gave her ideas on what I wanted and needed also what my budget was which wasn't very big. She took care of everything from helping me get my marriage licence, location of wedding, getting permit to get married on the beach, getting the minister to officiate the wedding, and the restaurant that we ate after the ceremony. I was all the way in Durant Oklahoma and she was on island taking care of everything for us. If I could give her 100 stars I would. I can really say she made our dream memorable and possible. My wife are already talking about renewing our vows in 5 years going back to tbe island and using Alohana Weddings for this. Mahalo Dianna for making our wedding possible.

. Diana had a list of things to coordinate as well as some special requests and she handled it all very professional and without missing anything. We met Diana in person when we arrived in Kauai and looked at a few wedding locations that we were considering. Diana had the flowers for my brides hair at the meeting so we had them for the hair appointment the next morning. This is how personal Diana is, we mentioned something about wanting to try a fresh coconut and she actually brought one to our wedding and served it to us. It was very thoughtful that she did this. We are very happy with the service we received from Diana Gardner and would recommend anyone using her to plan your wedding. We used Diana also as our photographer and she did very good. She took over 500 pictures and had them edited and to us in less than two weeks. We are very pleased.

phone message. This often meant we ended up to doing things she was supposed to do. She was not only late for the rehearsal but also for the day of the wedding causing the ceremony to start late. The wedding turned out great but the stress leading up was too much, she is extremly unproffesional and for the money you have to pay definetly not worth it.

In fact, she said many weddings are planned in that time frame and she would do everything she could to make it special, regardless of time frame or budget. She sure delivered! My theme was Southern Comfort (complete with meatloaf and mashed potatoes), and Diana went above and beyond with ideas and recommendations for theme. She listened to me and did not ever judge or criticize my wishes or desires. In fact, she had a warehouse full of décor we used for the reception, which made it be more than I ever could have expected. The most amazing part was the day-of. Being in the islands, rain is always an issue, and while Diana and her team were setting up the tented reception site, it rained (sideways with the wind) three times. While some in my party were freaking out, Diana did not miss a beat and helped coordinate a quick fix that kept everything dry and beautiful. Had it not been for her level head and determination, my reception would have melted on the spot. Instead, it was one of the most beautiful memories in my mind, and that is because of her. Diana has years of experience under her belt, and it shows with her grace under pressure. Also, she still gets excited when speaking with someone about their plans and vision, and that is a testament to her passion as a coordinator. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a hassle-free wedding day.

She made sure all our needs were met from beginning to end and even made Great suggestions that we hadn't thought about. She set up my hair and make-up appointments which took place in my room at the resort we were staying. She referred Christy and I could not have been happier with the results. She sent us video clips of a few officiates to help us choose and she referred Kahu Chuck, who matched our personalities perfectly. Diana also handled our photography and knew where to take us to get the photos we wanted. I told her the colors I wanted in my bouquet and our leis and she had them made beautifully. We met the day before our wedding and walked around the area where our ceremony would take place and where we wanted photos taken; by the beach and waterfall. She knew exactly where to go after we told her what we were looking for. Diana met me in my room and took photos while Christy was doing my hair and makeup. Diana was by my side before, during and after our ceremony helping me with whatever I needed. We couldn't be happier with the overall outcome and we HIGHLY recommend Diana Gardner for your Wedding!! (Chef Leo) was incredible, the DJ (Milo) did a fantastic job, and everyone else she picked were wonderful. It was truly a dream wedding. Having said that, the process was sometimes more stressful than I had anticipated. Diana was always very nice, but she was not as responsive as I had expected. When she mentioned early on that she might not respond to emails immediately, and I assumed she meant that it might take a day or two to get back. However, it often took weeks to get answers to relatively simple questions (e.g., what time will the service start). Even the week before the wedding, she did not respond to emails. Further, she did not always seem to remember items we had discussed. For example, we had spent quite a bit of time talking about flowers and leis, deciding that we would provide a certain kind of lei to all of our guests. A couple of weeks later, she asked whether or not I wanted to get leis for my guests. I had also mentioned to her that I do not like coconut, but one of the main dishes was in a coconut sauce. In the big picture, these were minor issues, but the lack of communication and apparent lack of attention to detail were somewhat frustrating and stressful at times.

Kilauea with the promise that I would handle all the logistics involved. I found a lot of great vendors but quickly got in over my head! Luckily I was able to find Diana at Alohana before it was too late. Diana was able to coordinate the vendors perfectly and was a tremendous help the day of the event in particular! I cannot imagine having done this without her. Part of the reason we love Kauai is the laid back attitude, but this can clearly cause stress when planning a wedding and dealing with vendors who embrace this lifestyle. She managed everything and the day went off without a single problem.

She made the process so easy by giving us a list of multiple vendors to choose from, unlike other coordinators that chose for you, Diana gives you enough options that you do not feel overwhelmed yet still allowing you to chose exactly what you envision. We met up with Diana a day before the wedding to look at beaches which we absolutely loved being able to actually see where our special day would take place. Diana was so pleasant to spend time with, giving us advice about local places to visit and activities that we may enjoy she really made us feel like her family. Not only did she hire all of our vendors she also made our reception/dinner reservations and brought us cupcakes that we wanted instead of a cake. I can’t say enough about how great Diana is, she is professional as well as a lot of fun. Our wedding was exactly what I have dreamt about my entire life. Everything went so smoothly and we never felt rushed allowing us to soak in every second. Keep in mind if you have an East Coast go go type of mind set you need to take a breath understand what Hawaii Time is. It's hard to do planning your big day but Hawaii is such a laid back place and your big day is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable..so just enjoy..call Diana Gardner she will take care of everything. I described to her the cake that we wanted which was a combination of two cakes and she delivered. It was flawless! Thank you Diana for making our wedding day so SPECIAL.

All of the vendors were of the highest quality, and she was able to provide me with valuable details and insight that allowed me to make great choices. I found her to be very knowledgable and well connected to the vendors that I used. Her advice was "right on" and our wedding day could not have been more perfect. Our 13 guests and (even a few by-standers) shared that the setting was breath-taking and the service officiated by Kalvin Ho was reflective and beautiful. Diana helped us with cost savings measures and because she is so well connected to so many of the food service options and other vendors she was able to provide us with a level of service that would have cost a great deal more if we had not had the advantage of her relationships and connections. I highly recommend Diana and I'm so very appreciative of her work and the memorable wedding day that she helped to produce!

s. They shared their vision for the wedding, and Diana seemed to be very enthusiastic. She promised to provide a list of vendors, ideas for decor, etc. I stressed that while we were on a budget, we would pay what was needed for the day of a lifetime. Unfortunately, our experience was awful: lack of follow-through, little to no communication, lots of excuses and only by threatening to fire Diana did we ever hear back. When we finally heard from her after numerous emails and phone calls, Diana apologized and promised we'd hear back from her within 72 hours no matter what if we gave her another chance. So we did. Big mistake. We experience the same lack of communication. By May, my future daughter-in-law was beside herself. She's a very calm, laid-back person, and she was having anxiety attacks. The final straw was when the caterer called to ask for the deposit to confirm the date. Evidently, when Diana told us she'd booked the caterer and said she'd provide my son's credit card for the deposit, she either lied or failed to follow through. We had to tell Diana she was fired and demand our deposit back. We spent the last few weeks before the wedding frantically making our own arrangements. And surprise: when I contacted vendors for pricing, their prices were less than half of what Diana was going to charge. I realize wedding planners mark up pricing, but our contract said only by 20%. In every case, Diana's quote to us was more than double what the vendors quoted to me directly. So, this tells me that not only does she provide poor service, she's also highly unethical. I've seen incredibly negative reviews on Diana/Alohana weddings and some positive ones, so I can only assume the glowing reviews came from those from whom Diana knew she'd make a lot of money. My advice? Stay far, far away from this wedding planner! She will either cheat you or cause such havoc with your nerves, and then you'll still probably have to find another planner or do it yourself at the last minute.

We were able to find all the perfect vendors (that she has already vetted) that met our individual needs & matched our ideals. Diana was always so friendly and whenever I called she always answered "Aloha Traci!". And when she missed my calls, she always called back quickly. I know that Diana worked extremely hard and hired us the most professional vendors to make our day special. Our flower arrangements and arch were breathtaking. They were more beautiful that I had imaged they could be. Everyone said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. We agree. I hired. We had a terrible experience with another planner which we had fired. Then we interviewed several others, even venturing out to other islands to find the perfect one. We nearly settled with another company that was five times the fee of Alohana, and offered not near the service we received. Finding Diana of Alohana was a true blessing! Diana was extraordinary every step of the way! My husband and I are the most detail oriented, O.C.D., picky, hard to please individuals you may ever encounter. For us to be elated with a service every step of they way speaks volumes! ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE: Diana offered open communication from day one. She took the time to listen to our vision, and even pry a bit deeper to get a complete understanding of what our dream consisted of. She was honest and upfront about what things cost. She understood our budget and never once put us in a position where we would have exceeded it. In fact, she found and offered many ways for us to have more and spend less! We loved that she offered vendor choices and details about each one, ensuring that we were able to find those who would be a best fit for us. She negotiated fees for us and saved us thousands (yes thousands!). Diana is extraordinary; she never skipped a beat and was always there when we needed her. Even when we had questions at odd hours, we simply text her and she replied quickly with answers to the most important and mundane things. She not only planned an amazing wedding, she assisted and gave advice about our stay in Kauai, as well as our honeymoon in Maui. She organized additional events for us at no additional charge like Smiths Luau for our rehearsal dinner. She gave us honest information about the best places to stay, eat, shop, tour, and so on. Diana started out seven months ago as a hired vendor to perform a service for an event. Today, we consider her a cherished lifelong friend we look forward to visiting again. She is wonderful in everyway; not only will she provide a great service with the most valuable knowledge of the wedding industry in Hawaii, she is a GENUINE and LOVING individual who takes your day and makes it as important to her as it is to you! At this point she sent a catering proposal that was completely incorrect; food choices and services were wrong. When I responded with a request for another call to discuss the discrepancy and also get a full proposal so we could budget correctly I heard nothing. Weeks went by, multiple emails sent with no responses or even acknowledgement. Now it’s November…THREE MONTHS after our initial call. With it being less than six months from my wedding that is going to be held 3,000 miles away, without a single confirmation with a vendor, still no catering contract, and no cost breakdown I realized that there was no way I could trust Diana to follow through and sent her an email requesting to terminate her services. She, of course, quickly responded when she received this email. She had charged an up-front deposit of $300.00 and in her response said that she would be keeping the deposit because of the work she had done so far; one thing being that she had booked our photographer. When I told me new coordinator the photographer, she reached out to them and they told her that I was not booked. She sent me a list of vendors that were allegedly booked, but with Diana who knows what had been done and what was fabricated. All this to say, I do NOT recommend Diana Gardner and Alohana Weddings; she herself called this instance “embarrassing” and “a learning lesson” (ALL ON MY DIME). She wasted valuable planning time and made the last three months extremely stressful and now I have to start planning my wedding from scratch and fight for an undeserving $300 deposit. STAY AWAY!!!

Over the course of a year, Diana helped me plan our wedding. She was very helpful and friendly. Once we got to Kauai, Diana helped me with my appointments. She guided us through our rehearsal with ease and confidence (which helped me relax!). The day of the wedding went so smoothly, and it was all because of Alohana Weddings making sure everything was just right. I got to enjoy every moment of the ceremony and reception, and didn't have to worry about a THING. Every penny we paid to Diana was worth it. If we could do it again we would do it the exact same way. I would highly recommend Alohana Weddings!
