Amazing stay at the Alohilani Hotel! The aquarium is absolutely beautiful—you can enjoy a drink while watching the fish swim, which is such a relaxing experience. The view from the pool is incredible and truly unforgettable.

el offers great amenities, including a nice gym and fun classes like Zumba. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming throughout my stay.
A special thank you to Jane at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful in resolving a double charge on my credit card and a room-related issue. She handled everything professionally and kindly.
Fantastic location, great restaurants, and overall a true 5-star experience. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for that perfect mix of chill island vibes and upscale comfort, stop scrolling and just book the 'Alohilani. I was here for a short layover, but the team made me feel like I’d been living here for years.
The Vibe:
Walking int...
o the lobby is a mood in itself. The massive two-story Oceanarium (giant fish tank) is mesmerizing—instant relaxation. It sets the tone for the whole place: cool, modern, but deeply Hawaiian.
The Room:
I had an oceanside view that was absolutely impeccable. Waking up to that blue Pacific water is the only way to start a day in Waikiki. The room was spotless, the bed was a cloud, and the noise of the city just melted away.
The Food:
Breakfast at the Longboard Club was a highlight. It wasn't just "hotel food"—it was fresh, delicious, and the perfect fuel for the day. Sitting there with good food and those views? Unbeatable.
The Real MVP:
But the reason I’m writing this review isn’t just the nice room or the fish. It’s the people. Specifically, Renee at the Front Desk/Concierge.
My room wasn’t quite ready when I arrived early (totally expected), but instead of brushing me off, Renee took my number and personally called me the second it was available. She didn’t have to do that, but she treated me like family rather than just a room number. Her warm energy and genuine kindness were the highlight of my trip. She is the definition of the Aloha Spirit!
Verdict:
Impeccable views, awesome fish tank, great food, and legendary service. I’m already planning my flight back.
Mahalo nui loa to Renee and the whole 'Alohilani ohana! 🤙✨❤️🙏🏽

The hotel is centrally located and the entrance and lobby are very nice. However that’s where the 5 stars end. The rooms are small and access to the bathroom is congested with only one sink. The beds are ok. Elevators take forever and there wer...
e only 4 working washers when trying to do laundry. The machines were hard to use and had it not been for a guest that helped me we would have been stuck with dirty clothes. There is no complimentary coffee at the lobby either and the coffee in the room is watered down coffee with no taste. Consider staying at a less expensive resort.

When I was looking for a hotel, I checked the "Breakfast included" box because I always want to stay at hotels with breakfast included. This one came up in my search, so I booked it. It wasn't until I checked in that I discovered that breakfast...
was in fact NOT included. When I told the staff what had happened, I wasn't offered anything at all - not even a free breakfast for one of the TWELVE nights I was staying there. This significantly increased the cost of my entire trip.
Also, the cleaning staff don't do a great job of "cleaning" - I had the room cleaned 3 or 4 times during my stay, and every time there was still dirt on the floor and crumbs on the table.
I asked at the front desk for more conditioner at one point, and yes I DID receive more conditioner - but it was just set on the counter by the sink. The bottles in the shower are the kind that are attached to the wall in some way - I'm guessing so that guests just. can't walk off with them - but damned if I could figure out how to remove it and re-attach the new one. So I didn't, I just put it on the little shelf, but I'd expect a resort of this caliber to do the replacing themselves.
The toilet/shower area is also very tiny, with probably about 1-2 inches of clearance between the door and the toilet. Thankfully since I was traveling alone, I just left the door open pretty much the entire time, but upon occasion I DID need to close it, and it took some maneuvering.
I was in the Seaside Tower (I accepted a room upgrade that I wish I'd never agreed to - sold to me as an "ocean view" - was really a Diamond Head view with the ocean to the side, beyond the roof of the other tower), and it's 36 floors with only 4 elevators. I realize trying to put in more elevators is a herculean task and not realistic - but just be forewarned that in that tower, you WILL spend a good chunk of your vacation waiting for elevators.
IMO, it's an ok hotel - the beds are comfortable, the location is great, having a hot tub and a pool is nice - but for what they charge per night, I'd expect a higher caliber stay.

The hotel had great location, but it’s not 5 star hotel, it’s solid 3.5.
The room was big, with nice balcony, bathroom had always weird smell.
The service was great, the pool and jacuzzi were always taken, we stayed there over 11 nights weren’t ...
able to go to jacuzzi.
It doesn’t matter how early you wake up ,kids already in and it’s usually like that until it’s closes.
One of the restaurant on the first floor was very good.
Staff was nice and helpful!
