For your special occasion, Alpenglow lodge is an unforgettable experience. Both floors have beautiful views of Anchorage, and upstairs has a wonderful mountain view. There is a large lawn in front of the lodge for outdoor ceremonies with a beautiful mountain backdrop. For incredible Chugach Range views, our chairlift is available for an additional fee. The large kitchen is a buffet style with a front serving counter. We have open catering for food and alcohol, which means you can use whatever caterer you like, self cater, or even have a potluck. We can easily host events of up to 215 guests - but smaller events won't be overwhelmed by the space. Our normal lodge rental period is Memorial Day weekend through September.

We had our ceremony and reception the end of June up at Arctic Valley at the Alpenglow Lodge and absolutely loved the atmosphere, ability to decorate and make the space our own. There is so much room that your guests will not feel cramped and the kitchen is huge so if you are a diy bride like me you will have plenty of resources. I appeciated the open communication John and I had. He made things easy and the lodge inquiry documents available online give you all the options to choose from. I highly recommend Arctic Valley and would pick the venue all over again.

Unexpected road closures by the military training. My guests were waiting on the road for over an hour. John the manager is great and offered a helping hand to clean. The girl here I can remember her name is annoying often bugged me during the wedding to see if I needed anything when she was at the cafe. She also kept bugging me about how much time I had even though John was understanding about road closures. When I asked her to clean she just laughed and walked away. Rude and unnecessary. During set up and rehearsal space from her would have been nice.
