Alpine Lake is an amazing venue for weddings and receptions. There's plenty of cabins there too. We stayed at http://campforetex.com last time we visited
Alpine Lake Resort is a hidden gem. We had our all inclusive dream wedding weekend and I can't stop thinking about it. All of our family rented lake houses and stayed for an extended weekend celebration. The lodge has 35 rooms for your guests to stay and enjoy. The grounds are beautiful. Guests were able to enjoy kayaking and fishing on the lake, pristine golf course and putt putt, indoor pool, awesome man-made beach, and beautiful trails to hike. The event coordinator and the entire staff was overly accommodating. By the end of our weekend, we felt like they were a part of our family. The ceremony site that we chose- and I highly recommend- is the old ski slope. It overlooks the lake and the views are breathtaking. The reception venue was perfect for our 140 guests. We had a cocktail hour with open bar- cookies, fruit and cheese followed by a delicious buffet dinner. You are able to set up the room as you wish and make the dance floor as small or big as you like. Guests were able to enjoy their large deck overlooking the lake and golf course. It was so awesome to watch the beautiful sunset on the lake with everyone we love. We danced for way too long and finished our night with everyone out on the golf course for a sparkler send-off. The next day, our guests enjoyed a breakfast buffet before they left. My husband and I cannot recommend Alpine Lake Resort enough. If you want an extended weekend celebration with all of the people you love the most, this is the place for you.
I had my ceremony at the gazebo/boathouse down by the lake and my reception at the Evergreen Room up at the lodge. For smaller intimate weddings, some brides have chosen to do the reception at the boathouse. The boathouse cost $100 only. We used the benches from the boathouse to use in the gazebo for a more "church" feel, and we were able to fit approximately 65-75 guests. The inside of the boathouse was a beautiful option in case of inclement weather.
For the reception, Alpine let us decorate the day before. I told the wedding coordinator, Denise Moon, how I had wanted things set up, and they helped with the remaining decorations. They are a very friendly staff, very flexible, and very helpful. I work 2 jobs, and Denise was great at getting back to me with any questions or concerns that I had. Once the reception was over, the staff boxed up the leftover food for us and had our stuff set on one table for ready for pick up the next day.
Another plus was that all my out-of-town guests were able to stay at the lodge on site so they didn't have far to travel for the wedding or reception. Me, my husband, and the wedding party rented a lake house, which was also right on site.
The cost was cheap compared to other wedding vendors in the area, such as Deep Creek Lake and Chanteclaire Farm. Overall, it cost me less than $3500 to have my fairytale outdoor wedding. Highly recommended!
