I have never left a bad review about anyone- but with how things went down we thought it was necessary to warn couples.

…Unfortunately the next list is much longer Cons: very posed 2009 type photos. You can tell there’s not much alteration from couple to couple. They asked for final payment early and stated it’s because they are going on vacation and want to have it prior. They showed up a little late on wedding day. We recommended lots of spots for first touch and vow reading- they said no, brought us in a hallway and we have a gold hallway sign and elevator behind our heads in every photo. They brought us to one location for photos (maybe 10 mins of pics) after ceremony when we suggested and sent pictures of other spots around property we liked. We got multiple reports from family member that Rick was rude during ceremony, and the real kicker was- the way Rick was speaking to his wife as she was assisting was disgusting. Condescending and disrespectful. It was beyond uncomfortable. Our pictures aren’t anything to write home about. I guess you get what you pay for.
Such amazing photos, Dava was right there with any questions and we had such a wonderful experience!
All I have to say is the work speaks for itself. Every photo was we got back was beautiful! We even got a photo with our dog. They are so easy to work with and will definitely cap...

Absolutely beautiful pictures! Very professional! The photo booth was a huge hit at our wedding and everyone loved it! I highly recommend!
Rick and Dava were awesome to work with. Working with AlterImage to plan our perfect wedding day was very easy. They were very accommodating to our busy schedule which we greatly a...

Rick took wonderful pictures at our complimentary engagement session at Green Lakes. We ordered a large print from our engagement session and had our guests sign around it at our wedding.
The day of our wedding Rick worked extremely hard to get all the photos we wanted. He has a great eye for capturing the special moments. Our guest really enjoyed the display of some of the photos taken at the wedding live during the reception. Everyone kept saying how cool it was to see the photos just taken a few hours earlier.
We would highly recommend working with AlterImage Photography! Thanks again for making our day so special!

Rick and his team were wonderful throughout the engagement and wedding photo process. Highly recommended! Can't wait to see the photos!
So easy to work with and the pics are stunning. Guests loved the scrolling photos at the reception.
They were very professional and willing to answer any and all questions I had. We were very impressed with them.
They were great, loved the slideshow they did during the reception of the pics they had taken earlier. Can't wait to get all the pictures back but everyone was raving about the pre...

I was very impressed with the photography. I did not have a ton of requests- the ones I did he made sure that he got to. I wish looking back I had requested more that I definitely ...
wanted- but I thought I would be directed a bit more than I was. I would highly recommend, I would just suggest to have the ideas that you definitely want and make sure to give it to them before hand and they will make sure you get those shots.
It rained on my wedding day, and even though it was cold and wet we still got some AWESOME photos. Thanks so much! Also as part of our package we really got a lot. We got engagment...
pictures, a photographer and assistant, a DVD with the rights to all my pictures, and a free slide show of all the wedding pictures taken while we were at the reception.
Rick of Alterimage Photography is amazing. He is easy to work with and open to doing certain poses we wanted. The pictures came out wonderfully and the slide show he puts up during...
the reception was great. My guests loved seeing the photos from the ceremony and our professional pictures right away.
Jim and his wife photographed our wedding. They were great to work with. They were very quick to pose us or tell us what they wanted us to do. His wife even made up a little boo...
klet of all my must haves to make sure they got to them all. He was very good about going with the flow and got some great shots. He arrived at the hotel around 11 and stayed until the end of the reception. He even told us he wished we would get married every weekend he loved our wedding party.
AlterImage did a beautiful job! Rick took a TON amazing photos the entire night. Only thing to mention is he was a little reluctant to go against his standard shots, and didn't alw...
ays take our suggestions without making us feel like we were being difficult. But he puts up a ton of photos immediately and all are available online! I'd recommend him!
Rick, who is the owner of the company, was my photographer. He came with an assistant two hours before the ceremony and I really have no complaints. They were nice, professional, a...
nd got over 2000 images without getting in the way. The package I got came with no prints but a copyright release so I own all the images and can print them myself for cheaper. We didn't want to spend too much time on posed photos so he made the most of the time he had and also got a ton of great candids. The instant digital slideshow at the reception was a big hit.
I booked my photographer by looking online because I lived out of state. I talked to Dava on the phone and I found her easy to communicate with and very upfront with what her pack...
ages are. I was a little nervous the day of the wedding because I had never met the photographer but I had nothing to worry about. Our photos turned out great and there were lots of shots I would have never have thought about taking that turned out very nice. We were very satisfied with this company!
prices are a little steep.
I booked Alter Image because I loved the pictures on the website, I was looking for more of the photo-journalistic style then the traditional style. I have not gotten my pictures y...
et but I am nervous that I am going to be disappointed in them. The photographer I had, his wife was his assistant and they were very very nice people, but I felt as if they were asking me too many questions when they should have been advising. I never had been married so I had no clue what type of pictures I needed/wanted, obviously I had a lot on my mind as it was a big day and being asked about all the shots kind of frustrated me and in the end I don't think there were enough pictures taken for the price I had to pay. I spent a lot more on the photographer than I had planned, but I am hoping in the end it will be worth it. A huge plus was that they did a slide show at the reception for guests to view, downside was the photographer spent time during the reception uploading it instead of taking more pictures, I felt his assistant should have been doing that and as a result a lot of pictures were missed. Another issue was that my venue is a 15 minute drive from Syracuse and they charged me for having to drive there, I thought that was a little ridiculous. They did however arrive on time and spent nearly 12 hours from getting ready to the end of the reception.
Their style is incredibly unique. Photojournalist meets traditional. And I wouldn't have had my wedding photos any other way. They were very professional and the photo slideshow...
during the reception was the perfect added touch to my wedding day. HIGHLY recommend them.
