tion to the finish, so many people came up afterwards talking to my now wife and I about how much fun they had breaking it down.
The team was really good about taking our song recommendations and putting together a set list with mixes that had everyone dancing, even if they knew the song or not. We also worked with them on our ceremony and reception speeches for sound and everything went so smooth! Definitely cannot recommend enough.

We are seriously still getting compliments from people of all ages about our dj almost a year later. Most, literally most, saying that it was the best wedding dj they have ever seen. ough the night and he ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT. We said no songs that usually play at weddings, we want good music, and he said “I got you”.
Not only were they affordable, Brent showed up with time to test all the sound equipment before jumping on, mixed all his own music through the night, and brought fun light ups to dance with. We seriously could not have asked for a better DJ.
When I tell you there was someone on the dance floor at all times, I’m dead serious! We never had to herd anyone to go dance. That’s how good these folks are! All I have to say is WOW!!!

We asked if he had any upcoming shows so that we could check out his style. DJ Ness responded back and let us know he had a show at the Green Room in downtown Omaha. We checked him out and about 2 songs in, knew that he was the one for us. DJ Ness mixed songs, took requests, and everyone had an absolute BLAST! He set the tone for the night, and we got so many compliments for his talent and his amazing MC voice. We had a couple that told us they were leaving, and DJ Ness started to play one of their favorite songs. That couple ended up staying the rest of the night because how much fun they were having! Even during the planning stages of our wedding, DJ Ness was so easy going and helpful. We had sent him a few last-minute song requests that he was able to work in on short notice. Overall, a fantastic experience and we could not imagine working with anyone else! I highly recommend DJ Ness and if I were to have any event coming up, I would hire DJ Ness again in a heartbeat!

He had an appropriate amount of interaction, making announcements as needed, and one thing that was awesome was he had a way to get all of our guests out on the dance floor at the same time to start the party! He even helped last minute to organize our guests to make a tunnel for us to run through during our introduction. He had excellent equipment and a disco ball which was a great addition. incredibly helpful, professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process and they worked seamlessly with all our wedding vendors. We were very appreciative of Alternative Wedding DJs helping out with introductions, announcements, sound during our ceremony/dinner, and other tasks since we didn’t have them playing music until after dinner.
Alternative Wedding DJs are experts in their field. They are exactly what you want when looking for a DJ because they listen, understand what you're looking for, and execute it better than you could have hoped for. Alternative Wedding DJs has great tricks to get everyone on the dance floor and was able to read the crowd to keep all generations dancing and having a fantastic time! Our family and friends had only positive compliments about our DJ and music (which was our DJ’s playlist). Our wedding couldn’t have been any better and the music choices made for a great atmosphere! Brent was an incredible DJ. He seamlessly transitioned from your more typical wedding favorites to appeal to the older guests in attendance but really threw it into next level territory later on in the night. He accepted numerous song requests ...
and was extremely accommodating. He also set up all his equipment even though it was storming outside our reception tent. Whatever your preferences are music wise for your wedding you can be assured that Brent can meet your requests. Would 100% recommend Brent to anyone considering hiring a DJ for their wedding or any other event.

The whole process was simple. We met up and talked about our vision for the reception. We sent them a couple of Spotify playlists based on what we thought we might like to hear. They took care of the rest.

p so finding them was a great fit. We chose to have a small wedding at a restaurant so our ceremony, dinner/speeches and dancing were all in different spaces. They accommodated each area really well, we could hear vows, speeches and music clear and crisp as all times. I loved working with them on the music list, if there is one thing about weddings I'm not a fan of, it's the standard music lists other DJ's push out. Alternative Wedding DJ's embraced us as a couple and really made it our own. We shared a huge list of music we love, I wanted a fresh unique list, and they created the playlist based on that direction. I had friends at the reception asking about songs they had not heard before and just loved! Our wedding day vibe was everything I had hoped it to be, thanks to Alternative Wedding DJ's!

Most importantly, he was flexible and easy to work with when we needed it most. There were some logistical issues that delayed the serving of the food, and he was able to help adjust our schedule and make sure the rest of the night went off without a hitch. s. Not only did he manage all the musicians for our wedding ceremony (Sitar, tabla, etc...) but created a music experience completely unique for our wedding reception. He fused and wove the sounds of India into American funk, dance, pop. We had a Punjabi Soul dance party that 8 years later, I STILL have people telling me it was the BEST wedding reception they had ever attended (and we didn't even serve alcohol!). Brent was a complete professional, taking over management of every detail regarding music and sound details for both the ceremony and the reception afterward. He was always on time for any meeting leading up to the big day and was very patient and accomodating for all of our crazy requests. (Not easy to find a sitar player in Omaha, Ne)

Hire him and breathe easy because you're also locking down a top-notch time. I even emailed him morning of with additional song requests and he gladly added them to our evening of entertainment. Could not recommend him more and I feel so lucky he's now extending his passion and talents to weddings in Omaha. Book him while you can!
My only complaint? Probably that we wasted money on what I thought at the time was a genius late night snack. So much food was wasted because NO ONE was leaving the dance floor... that's kind of the dream disappointment scenario.

e Wedding DJ that I most appreciated was how Brent asked for us to articulate our vision for our wedding celebration (i.e. setting, timeline, traditions, music interests, etc.) so that he could guarantee to create an evening that represents us as a couple. He then connected with the venue to understand the logistic and establish a report that made the whole thing run smoothly. He even collaborated with an Albanian musician that we also had performing at our reception! Our pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception music was truly fantastic! For the evening, Brent also took on the role of curator so that the guests felt comfortable and we adhered to our schedule, both of which made the evening so enjoyable for my fiance and me and our guests. The DJ is such an integral part of a wedding, I would argue the most important logistical piece in the day, and Brent of Alternative Wedding DJ was perfect! Thank you, Brent!

Hi, I’m the company founder & former House of Loom club owner. I’ve been awarded for Best DJ by Omaha Entertainment Awards 3x, rep'ed Red Bull Music Academy, and held DJ residencies at dozens of clubs that defined the Pre-Trump party era. I’m now a full-time disco daddy that takes occasional wedding gigs to fund the diaper mill. When I started this thing, I didn’t know how many “alternative wedding” couples there’d be.
