Alton Richardson Studios is a wedding and elopement photographer based in Boulder, CO. I specialize in modern and traditional weddings and adventurous elopements. Having worked for over a decade in the Outdoor Industry as a commercial and lifestyle photographer, chasing around some of the world's best rock climbers and skiers, I've developed an extensive portfolio of far-flung adventures that have been printed in numerous outdoor magazines and brand catalogs. With storytelling first & foremost, I strive to capture natural, intimate moments while delivering signature masterpiece work at the highest possible level. I take a mostly documentary approach to my photography while adding an element of fine art. I capture the intimate and quiet moments that happen throughout the day. I prefer to prompt rather than pose, providing opportunities for couples to interact naturally and organically. With a heavy focus on natural light, I'm constantly playing with the sun and shadows, finding something unique and extraordinary in the ordinary.
