Highly recommend. My wedding dress boutique botched the in-house tailoring job after multiple appointments. When I went to pick up my dress the week before the wedding, it didn't fit. I called Alva Graciano to see if they could squeeze me in and they went above and beyond to help me be ready for my wedding date. They turned the dress around, identified an uneven hem that I hadn't even noticed, and fixed everything beautifully and on time! Although it was a quick job, quality was not compromised.

Niki and team are the absolute BEST. Absolutely went above and beyond through the alterations process - my dress fit like a glove! Niki has the technical expertise and understands fit so well. Loved getting to know the team & going to miss going in for fittings!

After Miss Nicky altered a bridesmaid dress for me and it fit like a glove, I knew I had to go to her for my wedding dress. She had a tough job as my weight kept fluctuating, but she kept adjusting as the months went on and it fit perfectly on my wedding day. After the wedding, I came back and had her redesign my dress for a more casual look for my company's holiday party, and I somehow loved the dress even more. If you're like me and are used to going to the cheapest place possible, don't let the initial sticker shock get to you, and keep it mind that it's competitive pricing for area. She will spend as much time as it takes for high quality work in every detail. Worth every penny!

My husband had his suit tailored for our wedding. The tailors at Alva Graciano are welcoming, capable and efficient. We had no trouble scheduling an appointment, but the date they gave us was three weeks from when we called. The appointment was quick, and the tailor knew exactly what to do with just a quick look and a few measurements. Despite the suit being an unusual shade of brown, they were able to let out the waist and hip areas by re-purposing some of the fabric they removed while hemming the legs. The job was expertly done in three weeks and the suit fit perfectly! One small word of warning: They've been having trouble with their credit card reader for a while now and can only take cash and checks at the moment. They did not tell my husband this when he called to schedule the appointment, but they patiently waited for us to run to the ATM a few blocks away so that we could make the down payment after the fitting. Their prices are a bit high, but comparable to other tailors in Chicago, and it's well worth the expertise they bring to the job. Highly recommended!
