Hiring Harold with Alvea Studios as our Photographer and Videographer was THE BEST investment we made for our wedding. Also working in this industry, and living on the East Coast, Harold made us feel so special and was so accommodating through the entire decision making process. Harold was so quick to respond to my multiple questions and concerns and with being many miles away, he really put us at ease with the whole process. Our wedding was in Maui on Tuesday, September 3rd. Harold and Ken (Videographer) truly felt like family the entire day and my family really enjoyed having them there, they keep talking about it to this day! Majority of my guests were family and a few friends, and we didn't have a very large bridal party so there wasn't too many picture opportunities that I provided. Harold took what little things I provided and just had there, and made them into beautiful memories. Also on top of being so accommodating and very friendly, they were able to do a quick turnaround for me and provided all of my pictures and ceremony video for that weekend so I can show my ceremony at my California Reception. All of my family and friends in California who were not there, felt so special because they were able to see the entire wedding ceremony. The pictures and videos are my absolute favorite and I'm so glad that we had Harold, Abbie (Who helped editing, I hope to meet you some day!) and Ken. We are SO glad we chose Alvea Studios, thank you Harold for help making our day so wonderful and relaxing!

We keep on getting compliments on our photos! We were really happy! The photos look so natural and stunning! Ben and I are both bad with photo shoots, but surprisingly, we felt comfortable the whole time! Harold is very talented - I would thoroughly recommend him!! <3

Tyler and I are the most awkward people when it comes to photoshoots, but Harold made it feel very comfortable. I'm very happy how the photos turned out! I love how real each photo looks. The quality of the service they provide is exceptional. We felt that Harold really made the effort to get to know us and ensured that the photos reflected our personalities which is, for me, a really nice personal touch. Couldn't ask for more!

Working with Abbie and Harold feels like I have friends helping me capture the most important day of my life. They make every part of it very fun and easy. Harold did such an amazing job and I tend to be very picky. Not only was the final product exactly what we wanted but Harold was so cool, calm, and collected the entire time...he was so kind to my husband’s friend who kept asking him questions while he was trying to work lol!!! Harold is very easy to work with and nonjudgmental which I truly value!

Love them so much! They made everything so easy the day of and are the sweetest people ever. Harold took the time to get to know us and since we were doing a destination wedding we could only email back and forth but everything was perfect, they even were able to get all of our pictures edited and sent to us in less then 4 weeks. Truly one of a kind and our pictures are awesome!!

Harold and Abbie were just simply the best! We got married last August and had them cover both photo and video and that's literally the best decision ever! They respond really fast in my email inquiries. Their vibe matches mine and my husband so we already know from the very first email that we will clicked together. I coordinated and attended my sisters wedding and these two were so so amazing! They added that personal touch that every bride needs on their day! They were kind, fun and professional. Harold was amazing! He was simply in the background taking amazing shots without distracting us. I am very happy and touched that he's given us the video just a day after our wedding as our wedding gift. Booking Harold was very smooth and easy! Vendor was personable, made me and other participants in the photography feel relaxed, comfortable, and natural. I like that I didn’t feel as if I was working with a photographer here to do business but rather a friend helping another friend. His wife and he were engaged, present, and highly attentive and flexible to all the changes in scheduling.

Harold and Abby are literally the best photographers ever. They were early (and waited for us while me and my wedding party were running a little late) and accommodated all of my family's odd photo request (poses & locations). My bridal party didn't know how to pose/where to look/where to stand so they directed us around which was great because we needed that! They did not mind indulging our funny group pictures as well!! My family is huge and Harold and Abby managed to get all of us in all kinds of different pictures. Honestly they're hands down the coolest and sweetest people and I'm glad that they were able to capture our special day. The pictures came out fantastic!!! I looooooved them!!! Thank you so much!!

Amazing work. Extremely talented. So great to work with him. Harold covered my vow renewal and he was super responsive in the planning process. He did his homework and was well prepared on the day of (there was construction in the area where we were taking photos and he made the proper adjustments). He was professional and a calming force in the chaos of the day. When it came to photos with the family and kids, he gave great direction and captured wonderful candids as well. We opted to add a video and it was the best! It made everyone cry!!! He put together all the wonderful moments of the day that we will forever cherish. I would recommend him to my friends for sure. He accomplished unique, artsy and photo-journalistic shots which is exactly what we wanted. But he also did the traditional type poses and composition so we got a great variety of photos as well. Highly highly recommend Alvea Studios if you want professional and special photos for your day or any other event.

We found Harold on Thumbtack and hired him to put together a video for our intimate 10-person wedding. He did an AMAZING job!!! He was so sweet, had great ideas, and beautifully captured all of our special moments of that day. I 100% recommend Harold and would definitely hire him again.

They are husband and wife team and I find it cute! Their style is very unique, they didn't use any flashes during our engagement session and my boyfriend was secretly worried on how the photos will turn out. I am not worried at all as I saw their work and I don't know much on technical side. I just simply love their portfolio. This is our 3rd experience with a photographer (1 during our senior photo shoot in main land and 1 during a family photo) all of them used fancy lights. We somehow expected the same treatment. However, the photos looked great and very natural! We enjoyed the session as if we are just friends talking and catching up. The candid shots - which are my favorite are stunning. They captured ourselves in the most authentic way. Wish we can hire them on our wedding day but we cannot due to sched conflict. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Harold went above and beyond! We booked him for our engagement photos, and it was the best decision we made. I had a lot of concerns because it was very windy at the Halona Blowhole. My curls became flat and my dress became damp and wrinkled. To my surprise the photos were absolutely stunning! And to top it off, he sent us more photos than was advertised and within a very short amount of time, despite having to retouch many of them. We loved the photos so much I also booked him for my bachelorette party. We did a beach photo shoot with 12 girls, which included THREE OUTFIT CHANGES. That is a feat for any photographer. The shoot was so much fun! Everyone had a great time, and we all couldn't stop gushing over the photos. We loved his candid style and he really has a great eye for capturing the most special moments. We highly recommend Alvea Studios for any occasion. You won't regret it!

The experience I had with Alvea Studios was amazing. Harold was very responsive and very professional. What I was impressed the most was the actual day of our engagement photoshoot. He was there early – scouting the location for better views. My partner and I were not really good at posing, but Harold made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. I enjoyed working with him because he is very personable and enthusiastic in what he does – I think that’s two of the reasons why it was easy for us to get comfortable with him. Also, although he wants to do his own “shots”, he also made sure that my partner and I were also happy with the shots that he had already taken. He asks for our input all the time because he wants the photos to reflect “us”. Overall, I’m very happy and satisfied with Alvea Studios.

Alvea Studios Wedding Photography If I could describe my photography experience in one word , it would be the word EVERYTHING ! I loved EVERYTHING about my Photographer and his assistant on our wedding day! (They are a husband and wife team , and it’s adorable). Harrold’s communication from the first moment we connected via email and text was Incredible. He was never to busy to answer my questions and he was so knowledgeable. He figured out every single details for me and checked constantly to make sure I was onboard and Happy. I live in Tampa Fl, so it was stressful putting my trust in someone half way across the world, and praying they’d actual show up. But they did! They showed up at the exact minute they said they would and they were so professional beginning to end. It was such an epic amazing day that I’m almost too excited to fall asleep just thinking about what the final pics and videos will look like! If it’s half as amazing as they were on the day of the wedding... well then... I’ll be in absolute heaven all over again! I’m a basket case and was in full bridezilla panic mode and they literally were so calm and organized and helpful that I couldn’t have gotten through the day with them helping me... they went above and beyond! I have zero complaints at all... and I highly recommend! Would use them again in a heartbeat!

We made the right decision on going with Alvea Studios versus finding and flying a local photographer out to Hawaii. Remotely managing the logistics of a destination wedding from 5,000 miles away was nerve racking enough that we wanted everything to be in place when we got there. We liked the look of his portfolio and Harold was open to listen about the styles we liked. He always replied promptly via email and we spoke on the phone once before the trip to make sure we were on the same page. We met Harold two days before the wedding where my now-hubby surprised me with a helicopter ride! Harold was there to welcome us and record the surprise and breathtaking scenery. He had already scouted the venues so we were confident that all would be well and it was! The photos and video were fantastic. I wanted a natural yet professional look. No home videos, thank you. Harold and his team did not fail to impress. Things looked even better in the photos than in real life or I was too tired to remember. In addition to the media files, we opted for a leather-bound album. The quality was superb. Much better than the books from online photo stores we have at home. After weeks mulling over stationery and rag content, the quality of photo paper does not escape my notice! All of our friends and family members loved the photos and video. A welcome change from the overly dramatic and pastel style that is common here. Seems like we'll have to fly him out to Asia one day!
