Always Candid Photos specializes in capturing the essence of your day in an authentic, documentary style. Our focus is on capturing real moments as they naturally unfold, so you can stay present and enjoy the day. We take a relaxed, unobtrusive approach, stepping in with gentle direction when needed while allowing the day to unfold naturally. We’re drawn to the in-between moments, the subtle interactions, and the energy of the day as it really feels.
To keep things simple, we don’t offer packages. Instead, we provide straightforward hourly coverage for your wedding day. There’s no need to pay for prints or albums upfront, when you can always choose those later (if you’d like).
After the wedding, you’ll receive beautifully edited, high-resolution images in a private online gallery that makes it easy to view, share, and download your photos with family and friends. The photos are fully yours. You’re free to print them through our service or with any lab you prefer.
With a background in both photojournalism and editorial photography, we bring a thoughtful, story-driven approach to every wedding, blending honest documentation with a refined visual eye.
Based in Saratoga Springs, New York, we photograph weddings throughout New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and popular destinations such as the Catskills, Hudson Valley, Berkshires, Adirondacks, Lake George, and beyond. There are no travel fees for weddings within two hours of Saratoga Springs, NY.
We also offer special pricing for weddings at select local venues in the Albany, Saratoga Springs, and Lake George area, including Hall of Springs, The Sagamore, The Queensbury Hotel, The Inn at Erlowest, Fort William Henry Hotel, The Adelphi Hotel, and the Canfield Casino. Raised in New York City, I grew up surrounded by the cultural energy of the 1990s music scene. I discovered photography during a college introductory course and quickly realized its power to connect people. After graduating, I followed my passion into the world of music, photographing artists and musicians for clients including SONY Music, Atlantic Records, and The New York Times.
I eventually found my greatest creative fulfillment in wedding photography. Weddings bring multiple generations together in one space, allowing me to document not just a couple, but an entire community and the beauty of their connections.
After working with several high-end studios in New York City, I founded Always Candid, a boutique studio built on a simple mission: to create high-quality photography that’s elegant, natural, and timeless—without unnecessary costs.
By staying small and avoiding unnecessary overhead, I’m able to keep the studio personal, accessible, and true to its core values. I mostly work alone but bring on a second shooter or editor when needed, ensuring every project stays intimate and hands-on.
Always Candid is more than a photography service to me—it’s a philosophy. It’s about slowing down, paying attention, and creating honest, enduring images that capture the real spirit of a wedding day.
