amily friend of Madalyn's, but I would provide the same feedback even if I had no relationship with the client.
While Alysa does direct clients well and produce beautiful photos, neither the client or myself had a great experience working with her. This was my first wedding to do videography for, and I am not a professional, but I was surprised at the lack of consideration throughout the day. It was very difficult at times to get the shots I wanted - she did not always allow me time to get the content. At times she attempted to direct me as to what videos I should take. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she was trying to be helpful. All of my first dance footage and most of the exit footage was ruined by the continual flash on her camera. She lowered all the lights without considering what I would need for lighting. I wouldn't have minded if she had left a slot for me to take videos, but her flash went off the entire time for both events.
What shocked me was the lack of professionalism after the wedding. You can read Madalyn's review, but be aware that Alysa did not give her all the photos by the promised time, and when Madalyn left a three-star review, Alysa revoked her access to the wedding photos. Madalyn left a cautionary review and now cannot access the wedding photos that Alysa was contracted and paid to provide.
While Alysa is a talented photographer, her business practices are concerning. Download all of your photos before leaving anything less than a five star review.

le that she does, and she was always very fun and kind to work with leading up to the wedding. What I originally found her, I absolutely fell in love with her photos and her editing style. We were honestly kind of disappointed when it came to my own photos back it didn’t seem like the same effort had been put into our wedding photos.
That said, the wedding experience itself was disappointing. While our day did run behind schedule a bit and was a bit hectic at some points, both photographers were running late as well. We received multiple comments from guests and members of our wedding party about her being not the nicest to them, which was upsetting to hear after the fact.
Additionally, our gallery was delivered several weeks past the promised timeframe. I had to follow up multiple times over the course of months to receive the remaining photos we had already paid for, there was a different excuse each time. We also paid for a second photographer, but only received a small handful of images from the photos they took, which was very frustrating considering the added cost.
While I do love a lot photos we got back and some of her editing work, the lack of communication, and delays made this a frustrating/ stressful process. I wanted to share an honest review so future couples know both the positives and the challenges we experienced overall it was a very disappointing and stressful experience.
