Alyssa was one of the first vendors we hired for our wedding, and I’m honestly still thanking my lucky stars that we got to have her! We were referred to her by two of our best friends who were married last year. I loved her editing style, but most importantly, I loved the way she brought their personalities through in their photos. I contacted her pretty much immediately! Every aspect of working with her was a dream. My now husband and I are awkward in front of a camera, let’s be honest, and Alyssa made us feel so at-ease and comfortable during our engagement photos, which turned out gorgeous. Originally planned for May 2020, our wedding took an unforeseen detour when we were faced with the pandemic. We weren’t left with many options for the rest of the year, so we had to make a quick decision to reschedule for August. Even though Alyssa herself wasn’t available for the rescheduled date (she would have been there if she could!) she did everything in her power to make sure we were taken care of. Her associate photographers were able to take the photos that day, and she refined them in her style that I knew and loved. HOLY GUACAMOLE we ended up with the dream team. Our photos are gorgeous, I can’t say enough about how much we love them!! As the cherry on top, she had our album finished so quickly I was stunned. I’m telling you this because when you hire Alyssa, you aren’t only getting the best photographer. You’re getting a wedding professional who delivers what she promises, no matter what. During uncertain and stressful times, knowing you can trust the people on your team means everything. I also feel like I gained a friend! This woman is going to be big… Book her while you still can!

Alyssa is fantastic. We hired her for when I proposed, our engagement photos, and the wedding. She was very professional and knowledgeable every step of the way. She got photos of us that I didn't even realize she was around for. We look back at our photos now and I'm just in aw of her ability to truly capture every moment. When we worked with her, we never had anything to worry about. It was great. I was a little stressed on the day of the wedding and when ever she came around, she really made it so much easier. I'd recommend her to everyone. She will go above and beyond anything that you could possibly imagine. I'm so thankful we were able to have her there.

Alyssa is nothing short of AMAZING!!! I could not have asked for a better photographer! She was so easy to work with and so gifted in what she does! She has the rare ability to make you feel like you’re not being photographed which creates the BEST photos! I never felt overwhelmed with the amount of pictures taken and it was a HOT day in July- and that’s all credited to her! I will forever cherish our photos and the decision to hire her to take them! Alyssa was the first vendor we hired for our wedding, and she was absolutely the right choice. Hiring the right photographer was important to me because our wedding was only one day, but the photos will help us remember and treasure that day years later. I wanted natural/candid photos more than photos of us looking posed and stiff, and she definitely delivered! Her effervescent personality helped us feel at ease in front of the camera. Alyssa offered suggestions of how we should pose or walk for good photos, without feeling like a school Picture Day photographer who spends a minute getting your chin pointed just the right way. She was a delight and we loved working with her. We had to reschedule our wedding day because of the pandemic, but Alyssa was incredibly easy to work with during that process. She was still able to photograph our wedding even though she was over 8 months pregnant on our new date. AND she got us 30 sneak peak photos before midnight. I’m pretty sure she’s a superhero.

Alyssa is a rockstar! She helped me with my surprise proposal. I was traveling to KC for the weekend with my now fiance. I was trying to figure out the best place and way to capture this. Alyssa helped me with step 1 to the end. She gave me a highlighted parking map and even the path I needed to take. It was over 100 degrees and Alyssa was hanging out before we got there, lets not to mention shes about to become a Momma. I cannot begin to thank her for going through the heat and capturing the moment for me. Janessa and I are so happy how this all turned out!

Alyssa is amazing!!!! We knew the first day we met her for coffee that we needed her to photograph our wedding. She is so easy to talk to and makes you feel so comfortable and natural behind the lens. Our wedding day was perfect. We had a huge wedding party and Alyssa helped everything run smoothly and made sure everyone was having fun the whole day. She is so talented and puts her heart and soul into her work. I don't even know where to start with Alyssa....She is awesome, her photos are all awesome, yeah book her now. From the beginning I have always wanted excellent pictures. I had a difficult ceremony location with lighting and she did great! Her personality will bring a shy person out of their shell and make them feel comfortable taking pictures. She will guide you through taking pictures, which is great if you are camera shy. We did our engagement session and wedding with her and she is very quick to turn around photos, you go girl! Alyssa was EVERYTHING! She was so great to work it and made our day everything we hoped for! From the first time we met her, we knew it was the right fit for us! Her work is amazing and speaks for itself but we also knew she would be fun to hangout with all day! She answered all of my questions and was super organized the day to make it stress free for us! I cannot express how thankful I am for Alyssa. Not just as our wedding photographer but, as a human. The pictures are better than I could have ever imagined but, the experience of having her around on such an important/fast moving day really made our day that much better. Her calming presence and quick wit was exactly what I needed and honestly kept me feeling so relaxed that I was able to genuinely enjoy myself. She was so helpful from the moment we booked her and provided guidance when I asked about other vendors while planning. It rained on our wedding day and she, again, stayed calm, worked around it/watched for small breaks in the rain and we still got all the pictures we wanted. She perfectly captured our relationship and we really look like “us” rather than just some staged version of ourselves. She got us ALL of our photos so quickly that I think I might have gotten whiplash (seriously so fast it was insane). She is genuine, kind, funny and SO talented. We love Alyssa and honestly (sorry Alyssa) but we are going to blow up your phone for every photo worthy occasion in the future (baby photos and their future weddings included). Here is why: My wife has an amazing smile, but I'm awkward and we are both very shy. The thought of having just how awkward I am memorialized for the ages caused wild amounts of anxiety. Turns out, it was all for nothing. Alyssa met my wife and I with the perfect energy. She encouraged us to do what we wanted (a brewery with our dog) and never told us an idea was dumb. She put us at ease from the get go, helped me look like a normal person, and got photos that caught my wife's amazing smile. And then through some kind of black magic she went through those pictures and put a sample up the same day. Waking up to those pictures the day after the wedding was special. Working with Alyssa and her team was easy at every point in time. Alyssa said in her blog post that we had a "laid-back" wedding and that's completely true; but she was a big part of making it stress free and that makes it all worth it. I'd recommend Alyssa to anybody. She's an outstanding person to work with and we're hoping we get to cross paths again in the future.

Alyssa is the bomb.com!!!! I hired her for my wedding photographer and she seriously did not disappoint. She has the best attitude and is so funny and down to earth (seriously look at her instagram, she is hilarious!). She captured every single detail on my wedding day and i am obsessed with every single photo. I honestly can't say enough good things about Alyssa. She made me and my husband feel comfortable behind the camera and she captured authentic moments of us and our family all day. She helped keep us on track and she made sure to get all the pictures we asked for. She's seriously dedicated to capturing you and your day and she will stand in spiderwebs and hang off of railings if it means getting the perfect shot of you. If you are looking for a fun, professional, laid back chick who will make you and your husband feel like models, Alyssa is the photographer you want! Alyssa was with my husband and I from the beginning of the whole wedding journey. Ben hired Alyssa for our proposal photos (thank goodness) the night we were engaged. Most photographers will hide in the bushes to take pictures of your proposal. Not Alyssa, she'll go above and beyond to make your engagement perfect. To make a long story short, this girl will act like she's head of marketing for a bank to make sure your proposal still stays a surprise! (while still getting the perfect shot!) We got the most beautiful photos I could have ever asked for that night and STILL get compliments on them today. She even sent us 20+ photos that same night! We couldn't have imagined using anyone else for our wedding after that night. She took our engagement photos, wedding photos and others and all are so incredibly beautiful! She is always quick to get your edited photos back to you, which is amazing for eager brides. So cheesy, but at the end of it all she wasn't just our photographer, she became a friend. Alyssa, thank you so much for everything. You captured our special moments so much better than I could have ever asked for. We feel so lucky to have had you through this whole process. Alyssa is AMAZING! I remember feeling like proposals all seem very similar and wanting our engagement to be intimate so not knowing if I would really care that much about having a photographer there...but I am so glad my fiance found Alyssa to capture it. During the engagement, I zoned in on my fiance and the promises he was making to me for our future and now have these beautiful photos to bring me back to that mind space. Aside from the pictures, Alyssa is a pro. My fiance wanted the KC skyline to be the backdrop of our engagement, so Alyssa helped guide him by putting an X on the ground where the proposal would capture that scene. She then sat in the bushes for who knows how long waiting for us. When the engagement happened she was so sly running up and getting the shots. I honestly didn't even notice her until it was all over. Its incredible she was able to get all the shots, but not draw attention to her and take away from our moment. If you have an important day you want to capture, you need Alyssa there. Finally, this is how dedicated she is...after the engagement, she pulled up the taped X on the ground in case any other engagements may happen in that spot so future couples don't get confused on their big days. She is a PRO.

Book. Alyssa. Now! Alyssa was seriously an amazing addition to our wedding day. She made us feel SO comfortable and was just a blast to be around. From the start, she brings a relaxed presence to those around her. We had an engagement shoot a few months into our engagement and we were a little nervous, we aren’t models by any means. Alyssa immediately put us at ease and helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera and our pics turned out SO cute. She has a magical way of capturing the love between couples. Where do I start about Alyssa!? I found her (stalked her Instagram) after a previous photographer we had booked cancelled on us. The first time we met in person was over drinks to talk about her services. Not only did she make me feel at ease but she is one of the most down to earth people ever. We immediately booked her and I even did a boudoir shoot with her as a secret present for my husband! On wedding day it was like one of my besties was shooting for us. She hyped us up to feel our best and kept the day running smooth and on time. She gave us a sneak peek the NIGHT of the wedding that already had me in tears at how beautiful they were. Then within 3 weeks had every photo back to us and cue the tears again. Our pictures are absolutely beautiful and something we will cherish forever. For any future bride, trust her work. There is so much to say about how amazing Alyssa is! She makes you feel like friends right away, by getting to know each other over coffee, to fixing your hair and making sure nothing pops out in photos that shouldn’t be there, and keeping you excited for the day coming. Also her work speaks for itself. We were blown away with our engagement session (my husband admits he had fun now) and our wedding photos were perfect, just the way we wanted! She goes above and beyond for all her clients and definitely recommend her hands down!

What would my husband and I have done without Alyssa on our wedding day? I mean she went above and beyond to make us feel accommodated and cared for. She can get those beautiful shots you will have framed for years in a matter of a few seconds. She is creative and a visionary that can really make you look your best on your day! We had her for both engagement and wedding pictures and we received so many compliments on her work. She made the whole day feel relaxed. At one point she even gave me her own water bottle because my giant dress was making me very thirsty and hot. She worked seamlessly with my other vendors and really made the day about the two of us. It's hard to put into words how happy I am with our choice to have Alyssa as our photographer. Really, Alyssa's services extend far beyond that of your typical photographer - she is a photographer (an amazing one, at that), a coordinator, a hype girl... I'm pretty sure she would do just about anything you needed to make your day flow smoothly. Alyssa took amazing pictures (which she got back to us within 3 weeks, not to mention a sneak peek the night of the wedding), helped me seamlessly navigate the unavoidable bit of family tension that arose, bustled my dress so my mom could enjoy cocktail hour, pinned my dress when a wild dancer stepped on it and ripped my bustle on the dance floor, helped us feel confident and beautiful and sexy during our pictures, and helped coordinate communication between all involved throughout our day. Alyssa truly felt like a part of the wedding party, and our entire wedding party felt so comfortable and confident around her. Choosing Alyssa to be our photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Thank you, Alyssa!

Alyssa is incredible. We are so, so glad that we booked her. The engagement shoot was a lot of fun and those photos blew us out of the water. A few, we'd met up with Alyssa for drinks at a wine bar; she's so down to earth and committed to getting to know her clients. She's very organized and helped us with some of the details we weren't sure about. On the big day, she was the absolute best. She and Sara-Taylor Reed made everything so much fun and easy. They made sure we had drinks if we wanted them and even offered to go grab sunscreen for us because we definitely needed it. Our photos are absolutely stunning. They were exactly what I'd imagined and expected from her but it was still a surprise to actually see them in reality, not just what I'd envisioned. It's such a breath of fresh air when photographers can capture exactly how the day felt, and both Alyssa and ST did that so well. I will forever recommend Alyssa!

Having Alyssa Barletter as a photographer was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. Seriously. The first thing my husband said about our wedding while on the Honeymoon was how happy he was that Alyssa was the photographer. She is so calming, and was so helpful with everything, not just photos. I mean she helped me through freak out moments and even put my veil in. But other than being just an incredible person, Alyssa's photos are GORGEOUS! Our wedding night, we were even surprised with like 5 photos on social media already! It was such a cool thing to be back in the hotel looking at photos and just reflecting on our Wedding Day. Alyssa took my husband and my pictures at sunset on a beach in Laguna. It was an amazing experience! Alyssa was fun and professional the entire time! She helped us pose naturally and the pictures turned out even better than I could have imagined! Hire her! She is the bomb.

My girlfriend and I did a photo shoot at the lake with Alyssa. As a guy, taking pictures isn't my favorite thing... but Alyssa made the experience enjoyable. Alyssa is THE BEST! She has taken photos of my fiancé and I several times and each time is better than the last. She goes above and beyond for her clients and is able to balance giving direction to get the perfect pictures, while still listening to what you want to see in your photos. My fiancé and I, were pretty intimidated by the prospect of professional photos. We needed someone to give us instruction and make the experience fun. Alyssa's easy going attitude and sassy personality immediately put us at ease and we were able to really be ourselves, which translated into our photos. I have known Alyssa for the past several years, and I am so impressed with her photos. This last June, she photographed a sunset shoot with my bridesmaids and myself in Anna Maria Island, Florida. My fiancé had asked Alyssa to be the photographer for his surprise proposal and from the moment we got engaged (and even before) I knew I wanted Alyssa to take my wedding photos. After our engagement photo shoot, my fiancé commented how he couldn’t wait for her to take our wedding photos because of how comfortable and fun it was. The day of the wedding was wonderful and I knew Alyssa would do everything to make sure our photos turned out perfect. She worked great with our wedding coordinator and wedding party. Several wedding party members commented how great she was at getting everyone to stay focused for pictures and enjoy the moment. We love all of our photos and have spent hours looking at them!!

Alyssa truly went above and beyond to travel to North Carolina and worked perfectly with our videographer (who she referred us to) to help make our day perfect. Alyssa and our videographer did so much to help make our day stress less! Her passion for her job truly shows in her pictures. Very easy to work with and down to earth which helped us feel more natural on our already nervous day! She also provided a second shooter for our Kansas City reception. In our opinion our wedding photography is an investment and we could not have picked a better photographer to capture our irreplaceable moments!

Alyssa did a great job. We weren't able to meet her before signing the contract, but she was quick to reply to emails and calls and provided portfolios of her work for us to look over. We weren't very decisive on what photos we wanted or where to take them and she took charge, which was much appreciated. The posed photos were quick and she kept everyone extremely organized. We just received our photos a month after our wedding, which is much faster than some of our friends who recently got married. The photos themselves are amazing. She captured a lot of candid moments of all of our friends and family, especially some great ones on the dance floor.

I'm so glad we picked Alyssa as our photographer! She is a joy to work with and made our day so fun! Our engagement photos turned out amazing and I'm sure our wedding ones will too! She is a pro and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed.

Alyssa is so wonderful! My fiance and I were out of the state our whole engagement and didn't arrive into town until 3 days before the wedding. She was so willing to work with us through email, and was so patient as we were in school and sometimes slow to respond. On the wedding day she took charge to organize our family and friends into photos and she was so professional when my mother and mother-in-law were asking for certain pictures and poses.
