She made our engagement photos in Seattle a comfortable and genuinely fun experience. We left our engagement photo session feeling confident in our decision to book Alyssa for our wedding day. Even my then-fiance commented on how excited he was - which says a lot considering he is not much of a photo guy :). Throughout the planning process, Alyssa was a communicative, organized, and cooperative professional. On wedding day, Alyssa and her second shooter showed up to the bridal suite on time and stuck to the schedule throughout the day, showing flexibility and grace when needed. I could go on and on about Alyssa's professionalism, but moreover, she is an incredible human being. Through the unexpected hiccups of our wedding morning, Alyssa went out of her way to pause photography duties to help problem-solve and check to see that I was doing okay. She brings calm, collected, and positive energy to any situation. And despite the challenges of the morning, she still managed to capture all the happy moments in a thoughtful way. Once we arrived at the venue, Alyssa so perfectly and beautifully told our story - capturing all the special emotions and moments on our big day. My partner and I were not planning to do any engagement pictures, as we are planning to elope. I happened to find Alyssa from tagged photos of a friend's on insta (lifestyle & wedding pics). I started following her account (@alyssabrookephoto) because I just loved the authenticity of them so much. It just so happened that Alyssa was traveling to Seattle for a weekend and had some available photo session slots. Though still a bit reluctant/hesitant about if we wanted to do photos or not, I reached out to get more info. In retrospect, Alyssa's correspondence at that time (via insta DM) exemplifies just how thoughtful, considerate, and patient she authentically is. She was so responsive in answering questions, with ZERO pressure in booking anything. Even when I went silent for several days sitting in indecisiveness, she was not reaching back out and asking if wanted to book or not. It was only after all but one slot had been booked that she very gently and kindly let me know about the date/time of her remaining slot, if still interested. We decided to book it, even just to have a single pic to mark this transition of me leaving seattle and our upcoming elopement. Our goal was to get just one picture that we liked fine enough; we now have a gallery with approximately 91% of the photos marked as a “favorite.” The turnaround for "sneak peek" pics was also insanely fast. The most unexpected outcome of all was how much we enjoyed the actual taking of photos! That particular day was just one of those weird/off days and doing the session with Alyssa was a complete reset for us—to the point that now when we’re off/annoyed with each other, we jokingly (not-so-jokingly) say that we need to book a session with Alyssa. For context, we're both psychologists, so this should carry some weight :) Alyssa took such a genuine interest in getting to know us and our story—even in the very short time we had with her. The pictures are better than either of us could have hoped for. She has such a talent for holding a safe (surprisingly NOT awkward) space that allowed the two of us to genuinely connect with one another, while simultaneously offering instructive guidance on positioning (+ taming wild, flyaway hair) and skillfully getting theeee perfect shot. I could not recommend more highly.

Alyssa did such a wonderful job! She posed us at the beginning but once we settled into it, my fiancee and I were frolicking and laughing in the field and she captured it all beautifully. Alyssa is simply amazing! She is the most talented photographer we have ever worked with and knows how to perfectly capture our love! Scheduling our engagment shoot was easy and she made us feel so comfortable. At our wedding, she arrived on time, jumped right into action, had backup memory cards, two different cameras and captured so many of our most precious moments. She is now working with an assistant that responds to emails very quickly and is very easy to communicate with. I cannot reccomend her enough! She is the sweetest human you will ever meet!

Aside from being incredibly talented, Alyssa is hardworking, timely, bent over backwards to help in any way she could, and gave 100% of her attention to my husband and me during our engagement session and wedding day! Both our engagement and wedding locations were places Alyssa has never shot before and I was blown away with how prepared and creative she was to capture the most beautiful photos. So many wonderful things to say about Alyssa. Not only just about her quality of work, but her infectious bubbly and positive energy she carries with her. My fiancé and I reached out to her soon after we were engaged and I knew she was a good match both aesthetically and for her personality. She was so friendly, communicative and transparent with us and the value for both an engagement shoot and a destination wedding was the extra bonus. She made us feel comfortable during our engagement shoot which made us that more excited to have her join us in Mexico to capture our wedding. My now husband and i aren’t particularly model savvy or photogenic but she sure made us feel that way! To say our photos turned out dreamy and more than we could have hoped for is an understatement. I am still posting them and looking at them 9 months later. People raved not only about our wedding, but Alyssa and her photos as well. Alyssa also found the perfect second shooter for our wedding (highly suggest doing this for any couple on the fence) to get those extra detail shots! I could go on and on about how wonderful and talented Alyssa is and I would (and have!!) recommend her to anyone.

Wow. What a beautiful experience we had with Alyssa. Not only was she a dream to work with, seamlessly organized, creative, and an absolute artist, but she built for us an unforgettable experience where my husband and I were able to be vulnerable, close, and connected in the beautiful space we chose to marry while she captured our day with utter grace. I know the love I carry for my husband and the love we carry for our families and Alyssa nailed it, shot it, captured it, and allowed us to take and keep those feelings and moments with us for a life time. Alyssa was the best choice for a wedding photographer. From beginning appointments to wedding day, she’s your girl and has your back. She listens well and is able to tell your love story beautifully through photo. She gets beautiful shots, edits gorgeously, and got sneak peaks and the full wedding album back to us quickly. One thing I’ve seen since being in a few weddings: the photographer needs to be large and in charge during photos and needs to boss people around politely to get them in the right position and poses for photos. Alyssa does a great job at this - the best I’ve seen.

Alyssa is the perfect combination of fun and professionalism. She seriously has a heart of pure gold and will make you feel so cared about each moment of your day and then will blow you away with the images she captures. Her style is both creative and unique while simultaneously being attentive to all the classic shots you would want on your big day. My husband and I had a private elopement as well as a large ceremony and it was such an honor to have Alyssa shoot them both. The images we received still bring me to tears over a year later because of the pure emotion she was able to capture. Right before the ceremony, I was panicked over family drama and Alyssa put aside her camera, stayed so present with me, and brought me all the peace I needed to move forward smiling. She is exceptionally hard working. I am so impressed by the way she runs her business and her ability to maintain genuine friendship with each of her clients. Wowza!!! We look good! haha. Alyssa is a super talent and so much freaking fun! She took our engangement photos and took our wedding pictures too! We 100% recommend Alyssa Brooke! She is incredible. My wife and I both feel SO fortunate to have had her at our wedding. She actually took photos for our elopement initially, and then we loved her so much that we asked her to take photos or our large ceremony we did six months later. She did an incredible job. She was so helpful and encouraging through the process and gave us countless incredible images in a timely and professional manner. We felt so known and cared about by her on our day. Most people don't know this, but you spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day. Alyssa is one of the sweetest people you will meet, but that’s not the only thing! Her photos are amazing not only for their appearance, but for the feeling and emotion you feel when you look at them. We hired her for our wedding and she took the time to meet up with us before to get to know us as a couple and met us at the venue months before since we wanted to scout a specific location for our portraits. Even though we wanted photos in poison ivy ( yes a little crazy), Alyssa was down for anything and everything! She really takes the time to get to know you and what you want and do not want. We highly recommend Alyssa for photography, she’s the best!

Alyssa did our engagement shoot in Lawrence and Kansas City. We are both very awkward, nervous and quiet people when we are put on the spot. We didn’t know where to go, what to wear or anything and she walked us through it all, scouted spots where we would be ourselves, let us bring our fur baby! (which is not the easiest thing to do) and just spent time making us comfortable. The drinks may have helped with getting us loosened up to smile but she isn’t scared to have a good time and do GREAT work. We love love love her!

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, I’m telling you that Alyssa is everything you need! She literally makes you feel so so comfortable and has so much fun while doing it! She is honestly the sweetest person on this Earth & listens to what you want & captures your love PERFECTLY. Honestly, my wedding was so busy & fast & a little crazy that I was worried I didn’t get enough footage, but when we got our gallery, my husband & I were speechless about how much she captured & how she was in a million different places at the same time making sure to get everything! And her editing style is the icing on the cake!! I love love love the warm tones & intimate vibes you can literally feel straight through the photos! Alyssa was great! She went above and beyond throughout the entire day. I really appreciated her calm and “whatever works best for the bride and groom” attitude. My husband is not/was not into taking too many staged/portrait photos and she got the shots that we wanted while also respecting our wishes. We also specifically requested lots of photos of our family and friends having a good time and we are beyond thrilled with the results. We love our collection of wedding photos and couldn't have picked a better photographer. We highly recommend Alyssa to all brides and grooms.
