re planning process, as well as the day of the wedding. She always had quick turnaround with all of my questions and I really appreciated the ability to help me figure out all of the details. We had a very small wedding, planned during 2020 and executed in 2021, and the pictures were extremely important to us as many people wouldn’t be able to attend the wedding. The day of the wedding Alyssa showed up early just to research the venue. I’m so appreciative of this effort as she was able to lead and work efficiently when it came to get our pictures done. Also while I got ready Alyssa was able to work independently and capture so many shots on my grooms side. It was just nice not to have to worry about anything and let her do what she does so well. I can also appreciate her ability to be so efficient. The pictures were so important to us but during the wedding you realize you don’t want to spend all your time taking pictures and Alyssa worked her butt off to get everything we asked for quickly and So beautifully! My husband and I are not particularly comfortable in front of the camera and Alyssa was able to lead and our pictures came out amazing! Everyone in my family specifically noted how great she was to talk to and work with. I initially fell in love with her work on Instagram, and seeing what she produced for our wedding is just unbelievable. I am forever grateful not only for the pictures she captured, but also the opportunity to work with someone so knowledgeable and easy to work with!

ram in 2018, a few months before we got engaged, and as soon as we started planning, she was the first vendor we booked, because I knew we had to have her for our big day. I loved Alyssas photography style. To us it seemed very candid and intimate, with elements of adventure which was a must for two avid hiker/skiers who wanted a traditional wedding but didn’t want to miss out on including our love of the outdoors in our photos. Once we met and got to know Alyssa, we knew it was the perfect match! She is so easy going and down to earth, but with such attention to detail. My partner and I are not used to having our photo taken and Alyssa put us at such ease. She photographed our engagement session, and I highly recommend booking that session with her as well! It helped us so much, because on the wedding day we knew what to expect and were able to be much more relaxed together, on a day that’s usually filled with nerves. We were also running late on our wedding day getting to the venue, so the timeline was delayed, and Alyssa never made us feel rushed, which was such a blessing for the “type A” person that I am. I never felt stressed, and I cannot thank her enough for that! On our wedding day, she helped us navigate complicated family dynamics, and our family raved about how much they loved her and how easy she made the process of coordinating 25+ family members, including children. Our family also loved the photo booth that Alyssa has, so if you can rent that, do it! I can’t tell you how much of a difference Alyssa made in keeping the atmosphere of the day calm prior to our event, because that is just what we needed, and that was priceless for us. We were also one of the many couples that had to postpone our original wedding date due to Covid, and Alyssa was so supportive during that process and communicative when we had concerns and questions throughout our wedding planning. We also loved our experience with Alyssa, because we not only had an amazing wedding day and are in LOVE (Obsessed) with our photos, but we also gained a friend and that is something we will value forever! Overall, my partner and I cannot recommend Alyssa Carpenter Photography enough. 100000% book her if you can! Alyssa is a joy just to be around, and working with her is the same! e, Michael, made a decision to have an elopement in Vail, CO, and we had only three weeks to plan and execute the event. We were “pedal to the metal” and working quickly to align resources with our vision for an outdoor winter wedding complete with coats and boots. Alyssa shared her insight and ideas for capturing the majestic vistas including a gondola ride to the mountaintop. We were thrilled with her concept and on board. As the day drew nearer, my daughter and I felt anxious about the forecast of heavy snowfall and intermittent rain – and wondered if our outdoor plans would have to be scrapped. Alyssa threw us the lifeline we needed. She confidently walked us through the possible scenarios and convinced us how a cloudy and snow-filled backdrop makes magic happen. With our nerves calmed, we proceeded with the plans. When I got my first glimpse of Alyssa’s portraits of Kelly and Michael– they literally took my breath away! I am still in awe. e got engaged. Alyssa is incredibly professional, organized and overall, an amazing human being. Spending time with her feels like you're with an old friend -- she's so easy to talk to and makes taking awkward pictures not so awkward. Her photographs are incredible -- we just got married on 9/26, so we have only seen a few previews, but from what I have so far, they are incredible! Our engagement pictures were amazing too -- I have so many displayed throughout our house because I couldn't choose even just a few favorites! Alyssa was extremely flexible when we had to completely change our wedding plans due to the pandemic. I emailed her in a panic on a Sunday morning asking what I should do, and she emailed back right away with a list of options. Once we figured out a new plan, she was super flexible and was willing to help whenever needed. I always knew she was available for any questions I had, which made everything a lot less stressful! The day of our wedding Alyssa showed up an hour early, was ready to go and started taking pictures right away. She then took my (now) husband and I off on our own to do pictures at Lake Dillon, which ended up being quite a hike for me in my heels, but I didn't care because I trusted Alyssa and her skills! She was incredibly organized and patient when I was trying to get my family and the bridal party together for pictures. Alyssa was the best decision we made for our wedding, and if you're looking for an incredible photographer, she's your girl. Thank you so much, Alyssa! We didn't get a chance to meet her until our wedding day, but we had communicated so easily and openly in the months leading up to it that I actually felt like she was a friend. We had many family members and a large wedding party, and literally everyone commented on how easy and enjoyable photos were. We cannot thank her enough for capturing our wedding day in the most beautiful way.

we moved to Colorado. We chatted a little bit about our anticipated move, Colorado, etc. She was so friendly and easy to talk to, I just felt drawn to her. Like it was meant to be. We ended up moving to Colorado a year later, and I reached back out just like I said I would. I was surprised she actually remembered us! We ended up booking with her fairly quickly because she only had a few openings left and I was set on having her as our photographer. She helped us with everything from picking a date, COVID stress, plans falling apart, and ultimately choosing an entirely different location after having to replan our day. She was the best decision we made. Hands down. She’s one of the sweetest and most genuine people I’ve ever met. It feels like you’ve known her your whole life. So not only do we have gorgeous pictures to remember our day, I like to think we have a new lifelong friend.

o reschedule a few times due to Covid, however, Alyssa did everything in her power to get us in and kept in communication with us. When the day finally came, I felt like I was seeing an old friend, she couldn’t have been more genuine. You could tell she truly loves her job, it was so refreshing! CO and Alyssa came up on Instagram. I stalked and crept every wedding picture and knew immediately SHE'S THE ONE!! It's hard to describe her talent in words, but I'll try. Alyssa has a way of making you feel like she's your best friend. She makes you feel comfortable, and really does all the work for you so your hands aren't an awkward mess. She did our engagement photos, my boudoir photos, and our wedding day photos and we are shook by how amazing every photo turns out. I'm no model, but Alyssa captures beauty in a way that makes you really feel like one. Anywho, she's amazing and book her while you can. h all the vendors around the area since we both live out of state, we didn’t know anyone, more than that!! - she even helped us to bring our cake from Denver as because of COVID-19 all the cake places around Ouray were already busy to accept the order for a cake. We didn't get the chance to meet Alyssa until the day of our wedding, but her communication through the phone and email were so excellent, that we were sure that everything will be fine even before the wedding day=) From the moment we finally got to meet Alyssa right before our wedding we immediately realized she was the BEST decision we made for our wedding elopement!! It was so much fun and was actually one of my favorite parts of the day! Alyssa got the photos to us in record time and let me tell you- THEY ARE AMAZING!! We got SO many photos and they’re absolutely stunning. We truly feel that we can relive our day over and over again through the photos, which is such a gift. She went above and beyond to make sure that we felt comfortable, had the photos that we wanted, and she got so many cute and fun candids that I absolutely love. ediately after talking to her through email, I felt like she was my long lost bff. She truly cares about her clients and puts her heart and soul into her work, and it shows not only in her pictures but in her communication throughout the entire process. We asked to do engagement photos in the city (which she had never done before), and she immediately agreed and researched plenty of options - even though this was so far out of her comfort zone. Both our engagement and wedding gallery were delivered earlier than anticipated and were AMAZING. She was so organized the day of our wedding and kept everything going smoothly without issues, but also to where we didn't feel like we were spending hours taking family photos. Our wedding guests even commented on how professional and sweet she was throughout the day. She really was the best!

By the time we met her the day of the wedding, we felt like we’d known her a lifetime, which is part of what makes Alyssa so amazing - she has a way of making you feel instantly comfortable - which made shooting an absolute breeze, and more importantly, really, really fun! We showed up to our first shoot location and there were a dozen other groups doing photos there that day. It didn’t phase Alyssa. She found an incredible place to do our photos, and they are spectacular (the understatement of the decade). The entire day was seamless, and we still have friends and family commenting on the fact that she happened to be everywhere! Now that we have our photos, we know this was true. In addition to capturing every moment and every detail, there isn’t a single shot that doesn’t look like it came out of a magazine, and the entire gallery is like a magical editorial spread that you see but never expect to experience first-hand. We spent two hours pouring over every photo - we laughed and cried and our faces hurt from smiling the entire time. It was like getting to relive our entire wedding through the lens of someone who knew every single person in attendance intimately. Her inimitable talent is apparent in all of the images. We can’t even begin to thank her for capturing our wedding (and our love!) so perfectly.

and forth about our dogs... The Office... Denver. I knew I had to book her IMMEDIATELY. And then this is where our love story begins... haha but seriously. Alyssa made this whole process so freaking easy. She was always in touch with me and our relationship blossomed into to a great friendship (most likely because I'm crazy and booked her SO early so we had a lot of time to chitchat). Fast forward to our wedding month. Alyssa was beyond on top of it - from her questionnaire to her constant communication, she makes you feel like every single thing is taken care of. On our wedding day, Alyssa and her AMAZING second shooter Katie (I don't have her contact info but for real she's incredible) came early and started doing their thing. Alyssa and Katie didn't have any fear taking charge and with my insane/crazy/yet loving friends and family, we desperately needed to someone to whip us into shape. They made sure every single picture on my list was taken and made sure we were on time - scratch that we were even done early before the ceremony! Amazing. Every single person in the wedding party loved these photographers and even mentioned to me that they "have to hire them" when they get married. I recently just got my pictures back and let me tell you.. they are seriously unreal. I can't even begin to explain! I wasn't even expecting to receive pictures back until after the holidays but, of course, Alyssa sent them sooner (because she exceeds every single expectation) and I about died when I saw them! It brings back soooo many feelings and makes my heart beyond full. Alyssa, ILY seriously, you're such a gem and working with you was truly a gift. TLDR; Hire Alyssa... do it. She's the best person you'll meet and makes your wedding day PERFECTION. Her pics are to die for and you will NOT regret this decision.

Leading up to our wedding day she was always available to help and give me ideas especially when it came to timeline process (which to me, was invaluable). She took the couple loose ideas I had for our wedding day and exponentially expanded to it to give us so many amazing shots. Working with her was like having a good friend that just so happens to be an amazing photographer and agreed to work your wedding. What also sets Alyssa apart is her ability to capture amazing moments not only outside in nature but also indoors in a more “traditional” setting seamlessly all in one day. I wanted a mountain elopement but also knew we needed a typical wedding ceremony/reception. Alyssa was so enthusiastic and on board when I explained how we wanted to do private vows in the mountains in a spot special to us before the more typical ceremony/reception later on at an art gallery. She assured me both locations would be great and that she enjoyed photographing both kinds of settings (and not just the epic mountain top pictures that we all love looking at). My husband and I are not very photogenic people and we didn’t invest in engagement photos to get in a “test run” but Alyssa put us at ease and gave us just the right amount of direction to help us get amazing shots while staying natural and true to ourselves. Alyssa was able to catch the best candid shots at every stage of the wedding day- no matter where we were or how many people were around. She took so many pictures from that day and they are all so spectacular. I honestly can’t even narrow down favorites since they’re all so unique and perfect to who we are. A couple days after the wedding she sent about six “sneak peak” photos and just those six photos alone were worth hiring Alyssa. Once we got the full album both my husband and I were over the moon with her work. She captured us and the moments perfectly.

We knew we wanted to get married in October and we basically picked a date that worked with her availability! Every communication with her was so easy, she asked the right questions, and made our day absolutely stress free. She is so incredibly kind and funny - she made taking photos seem so natural... and honestly, it was one of my favorite parts of our whole day. She even let my husband take all the goofy photos he wanted! 😂😂 The photos themselves are beyond what I could have anticipated. She captured all of our intimate moments and made us look good despite both of us crying.... a lot. I am soooooo glad I booked Alyssa for our wedding because now we get to have these GORGEOUS photos of our wedding for the rest of our lives. I’m not exaggerating that I love every single photo she took because they are all a direct reflection of who we are!

our gallery has completely surpassed our expectations! There isn’t a photo I don’t love - she captured every emotion and personality perfectly! Alyssa was incredible and so easy to work with! From the first time I reached out to get a quote from her, I knew we had to have her as the photographer for our wedding! The style of her photographs are stunning and she is one of the most personable people I’ve ever met! She has a way of making you feel comfortable, like you’ve been friends for years, which we needed since we weren’t doing engagement photos and aren’t super comfortable in front of the camera. She was on time, SUPER professional, and was even accommodating when we threw in a last minute ask for a specific photo on her way out! I’ve never really liked the way I look in pictures and thought this might be the same, but I could not be happier with these photos!! I literally cannot pick a favorite because they are all so awesome! She helped direct us and make our photos look so natural and beautiful! I can’t say enough good things about her! he area of our wedding that delivered the style of photography we desired. After talking with Alyssa, we knew we didn’t need to look any further. We immediately clicked and I knew she was the one for us. Early on in our planning process, our original wedding venue burnt down. After trying to locate an alternate venue, and finding that they were all booked, we panicked and thought we should check with Alyssa to see if she had any other ideas. She had plenty. With her guidance, we were able to find and book plans for what turned out to be a more incredible wedding than we ever thought possible. Alyssa communicated with us through the entire planning process. We had our engagement photos taken 8 months before our wedding in Estes Park. The weather was terrible and by the end of 20 minutes of pictures, we were soaking wet and thought we had enough pictures to call it a day. But Alyssa wouldn’t let us leave Colorado without giving it another chance, so she went out of her way to meet us for an additional day of photos the next day (which was so gracious) because she wanted to make sure we were happy with the photos we received. When she delivered our gallery, we were so thrilled with our photos, even the ones where we were soaking wet. On our wedding day, she was professional, efficient and so much fun. Our guests are still talking about how wonderful she was. We will treasure our wedding photos forever. Alyssa is truly incredible at capturing every special moment. My husband is very reserved and I was nervous that he wouldn’t be able to open up for pictures, but Alyssa has the right personality for making people feel comfortable and be themselves. So many parts of wedding planning were chaotic, especially after losing our first venue, but Alyssa was a rock. We are so grateful for her and truly believe she is the best of the best.

day! When we were living in CO Alyssa shot our engagement photos in RMNP. We were both extremely nervous because we consider ourselves awkward around the camera, but she made us feel so comfortable! o we were left without a photographer only two and a half weeks before our wedding! It was total panic mode for us, and Alyssa COMPLETELY saved the day. I reached out to her right away, she happened to be available on our big day (thank god!!!), and we met for drinks to talk it all over. We are incredibly grateful Alyssa was able to take on our wedding last minute, and she did it all with complete calmness, positivity and professionalism. On our wedding day, Alyssa showed up so excited and much earlier than planned. She was super organized and helped keep us (and our wedding coordinator) on schedule. When it was time to take photos, Alyssa had already scouted out the PERFECT first look spot – a little forest with a bridge and stream behind Main Street in Breck. It was AMAZING (!!!) and we would have never known that little hideaway existed without her. We are admittedly a little awkward taking photos, but Alyssa made it so easy, comfortable and most of all FUN! For family and wedding party photos, Alyssa helped keep everything moving and we were wrapped up in 20 minutes or less! My family couldn’t stop talking about how sweet and adorable Alyssa was and how she felt like part of the wedding. (My grandma and mother in law still keep talking about her!!!) After the wedding, Alyssa got our photos back to us SO QUICKLY (less than a month). They are seriously the most incredible photos and I cannot stop looking at them. She captured our winter wedding so perfectly and they all look so…MAGICAL! We all know the feeling when you look at others’ wedding photos and wonder if yours could ever look as good….I can’t even believe my wedding photos are actually mine and real and so freaking perfect! (We were so cold and shivering our butts off, so without Alyssa’s patience, perfect eye and editing skills, we would have been total messes ☺). All that said, Alyssa was the best decision we made regarding our wedding and we would choose her to be our photographer a thousand times over. Not only did we end up with insane photos, we (and our puppies) became friends, too!

Our goal for our teeny tiny wedding was to have a super fun, chill day focused on our commitment and leave out all the big wedding details.
