We met Alyssa at the wedding expo in Portland, and we really hit the jackpot when we found her. Alyssa was wonderful to work with and made sure to get to know all the details of our wedding. The day of, she captured everything including the impromptu selfie I took with my new husband. She was constantly coming up with ideas throughout the day and made sure to keep us on our timeline. And most importantly, the photos she took of our day were beautiful. We would hire Alyssa again in a heartbeat.

Wow... You will only have this day one time, it is very important to capture it well, if you go with Alyssa you can rest assured that she will take that day as seriously as you do. We had Alyssa do our engagement photos and we loved her from the start. She did everything to make us feel comfortable and at ease for our session. Our engagement photos turned out great. We knew she would do a a good job for our wedding, so we booked her. I don't think we would have had a better photographer. In my line of work I have seen and worked with countless wedding photographers. And most I have seen do an ok job. Alyssa does a fantastic job. She worked so well with my family, all my family loved working with her. She is truly a Jul. We could not have been happier with the how the gallery turned out. The photos speak for themselves. Alyssa was absolutely wonderful! She did our engagement and wedding photos this past year, and all of the photos turned out beautifully. She was very professional, fun to work with and did an amazing job the day of the wedding keeping everyone on schedule. I would highly recommend her to photograph your wedding as well! It takes so much stress off your shoulders knowing you have an amazing vendor. Trust me! I would absolutely hire Alyssa again and will be recommending her to all my friends.

Alyssa is so talented and so much fun to work with! Everyone who had the pleasure of working with her on our wedding day said she was so fun and had great, creative ideas. There were a few times where it was difficult to communicate with her in the planning process, but I know that we will be so happy with the final results of our photos. Alyssa is truly AMAZING! She is well worth the money. She was friendly, helpful, answered all of our questions, and kept to the time line taking photographs. When it came to the reception she was available any time we wanted her to catch a special moment. As well as she caught several candid photos that demonstrate our wedding day and painted a beautiful picture we can remember forever. We will be using her again for family photos in the years to come.

We have hired Alyssa on 4 separate occasions: our wedding, and three sessions for family/children photography. Alyssa runs an upscale boutique photo studio in the heart of downtown Lake Oswego. We place a very high value on preserving high quality images of our family and we have been blown away at Alyssa's abilities at every turn. She's amazing. Her results speak for themselves and we have never been disappointed. She uses top notch gear, has great communication and treats us like royalty. I consider myself a bit of a photography enthusiast, and a picky one at that. So it took my fiance and I a while to agree on someone to trust with our wedding pictures back in 2013. Alyssa's easy going and fun personality won us over and then we we got our wedding pictures back we knew we had made the right choice. Choosing her for baby and family pictures over the last 3 years was an easy decision. Her photos have a very natural and crisp quality to them - we get compliments on them (they're hanging all over all walls) from every guest we have at our house. Photos like hers make it easy to see the difference between a real pro and all the amateurs out there who don't truly understand what goes into a photograph, and that it takes more than a fancy camera. I believe that portrait photography is an industry, more than most, where you get what you pay for. So, if you're used to JC Penny's or Picture People and/or you're looking for cheap photo sessions and all your pictures on disc for $12.95 then this is not the place for you. Yes, Alyssa is a bit of an investment, but if you want truly artistic and inspiring photographs, don't hesitate to give her a call.

I won a free engagement shoot with Alyssa at a bridal show. I was ecstatic because we are on a tight budget and this was the first real wedding thing we got to do. We sent emails in the beginning to set up a date and time and I had to choose one farther out because my fiancé and I work different schedules so it isn't easy to get us a day off together. As it got closer to the date, I realized that I hadn't heard from her to confirm so I sent her an email making sure we were still set and to get details on what we need and where to meet. She replied saying that she would call us 2 hours before our appointment to confirm and tell us where to go based on the weather. The day of the shoot came and the weather was beautiful but the time for her to call came and we hadn't heard from her. We both got ready thinking that she must have been delayed...until the time of our appointment came and went and we still hadn't heard from her, via call or email. 15 minutes after our appointment, I emailed her to give her a chance to explain...she said she hadn't got the email with my phone number until just then...though she should have sent another email if that was the case. She offered to still do us that day but had a limited window available and we live more than 30 minutes away and would be rushed. She offered other days but we already wasted vacation time to take that day off. I am very disappointed with how she treated us. Maybe she is wonderful to paying customers but I would never use or and I certainly would never recommend someone with such poor communication.

Alyssa did an amazing job from our engagement pictures until even after the wedding. She is wonderful to work with, very open to whatever requests you have and is so much fun to have around on your wedding day! She made everyone feel comfortable, was great with the kiddos and took some amazing pictures. We got back far more pictures than I was expecting, and there are some truly incredible pictures. I would highly recommend Alyssa as a wedding photographer.

Alyssa was truly amazing and I can't wait to use her again for future life events! She did our engagement photos as well as our rehearsal dinner and wedding photos; all of which were spectacular. She was so fun to work with and a total pro the whole time! I have a really large family and it can be like herding cats at times but Alyssa did an amazing job directing everyone. She took the most gorgeous photos and went above and beyond the day of - at one point, literally jumping over hedges to get the right angle! Alyssa was my saving grace on our wedding day; there were a number of things that went wrong the day of that threw things off track but the photography was the one thing I didn't have to worry about - she took care of everything and I'm so thankful we had her! She was better than I could ever have hoped for and I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone getting married :)

I worked with Alyssa after I won a free engagement shoot at a local bridal show. It was made clear to me that I was under no obligation to book her for my wedding, or purchase the photos that she took at the shoot. We did the shoot and had a great time. Alyssa was very nice and very good at guiding us while keeping us natural. The day of the shoot, my FH and I made it clear that we were not going to hire her - because we had decided on a destination wedding and she was fine with that. We were VERY pleased with the photos that Alyssa took of us for our engagement shoot. The shots looked natural and gorgeous. I docked Alyssa a few stars because I felt that her hard sell was a little off-putting. We were made to discuss the photos in front of her upon seeing them for the first time, and when asked how long we would have to discuss and decide (thinking that we could maybe think about it overnight) she said we had to tell her then or she was deleting them the next day. I felt very pressured to make a decision on the spot. Because we were going to have to purchase them a la carte, and because we were just figuring out our budget, we ultimately decided that we would have to pass. However the sell was very cold, and I didn't feel good after leaving the meeting. I don't think there is anything wrong with a hard sell in these situations, but I think it's fair to be aware before going in, which is why I wrote this review today.

Alyssa was so great! She was funny and thoughtful and took the most natural feeling photos at both our wedding and our engagement photos. We were so glad that we chose her. I generally greatly dislike being photographed professionally but she made the experience smooth. She has a very creative eye and has a real skill for natural setting backdrops. Our total did include a photo booth at the wedding and some photo books.

We hired Alyssa for both our Engagement shoot and our wedding and we would highly recommend her. She's both friendly and professional, and she was able to wrangle our families with ease (not always an easy task!). Neither one of us normally like photos of ourselves, but we loved our engagement photos and can't wait to see the ones from the wedding.

Alyssa was a lot of fun to be around, and we really loved our engagement photos. We won't receive the wedding photos for another month, which feels like a long time, but we're looking forward to seeing them!

Alyssa is incredibly full of energy to efficiently photography our rehearsal, wedding and reception! She is such a genuine sweetheart and will work with you on a budget and times that she can see you for a consultation. Her studio is right out of her home, which tells you a lot about how she feels about her business. Her husband Corey also helps out with the business and is awesome at his job!
