Weddings mean so much to her and she brings every moment to life with her photography. This has been her passion since as long as I can remember and it shows in her work! We had a private ceremony on the beach and everyone (yes everyone) asked who our photographer was! She was on top of every detail and was catching every special moment we were having with our family. She was so involved, lively, and apart of everything that our friends were doing which enabled us to really experience the whole day! With a private ceremony came two receptions at later dates in different states. Alyssa knew I was going to be busy with traveling and how important it was that I was able to show all of our friends and family our wedding ceremony. Once she told me she also designs wedding albums and has them printed, I was sold! The quality of the album is breathtaking and the communication she had while picking out our favorite photos was so easy. Hands down one of my best decisions! I had multiple people ask me where I had gotten it done and that they still hadn't gone through their own wedding photos to make an album from over 2+ years ago. My only regret is that I didn't move to Massachusetts! She is a gift and I wish I lived closer to her. I am forever grateful that she traveled to me and know that I am definitely coming to her for future photo sessions! edding, and our pictures are magical. First, like many other couples, we had to delay our wedding for a year because of the pandemic. I heard horror stories from other friends about charges and barriers to rebooking their vendors. Alyssa was so graceful and made it completely painless for us to move our wedding from 2020 to 2021. Leading up to the wedding, Alyssa was available and so helpful for our many questions, with great suggestions along the way. Alyssa is not only a very talented photographer, but she is also very experienced at weddings. She knows how to work in photos throughout your timeline, without making you feel like you are being taken away from the party. She helped us stay on time and was somehow able to photograph every combination of family members of our giant family without us missing a minute of dancing. If you are camera shy, no worries! She knows how to make you pose to look your best (she seriously made us look like wedding magazine models) and she makes the process so fun! She also captured our ceremony without anyone even realizing she was there. And finally, we LOVE our photos. They are truly so beautiful, they have so much light and warmth in them. You look at them and can feel how full of love and fun our wedding day was. And our family treasures their portraits. g COVID so of course our plans changed multiple times. Due to location changes I was scrambling to find new vendors in this area. I was referred to Alyssa Parker Photography and she somehow had my Sunday date available (we were SO excited!) I was a wreck booking things just a few months in advance but Alyssa made me feel completely at ease. frills type of couple and wanted to down to Earth photography that captured who we are on our wedding day. We met with Alyssa in person and had an awesome chat over coffee (prior to pandemic!) and she told us a bit about herself and dove into questions about us, both individually and as a couple. She was thorough and paid attention to detail, didn’t rush us, and didn’t interject what she thought was best onto our ideas. We left that meeting feeling confident that she’d capture our day in the way we desired. Fast forward a year later and we are rescheduling things, downsizing, and coming up with a new plan. Alyssa was accommodating, responsive and adaptable, which helped so much with the anxiety around figuring out what our wedding would look like during a pandemic. On the day of the wedding she arrived to our hotel and immediately dove in, taking amazing detail shots and handling things like a pro- my bridal party and I were impressed right off the bat! She captured all of the shots and then some that we wanted and didn’t even know we wanted! She was effective, clear in her instructions and arrangements and captured some amazing shots. We got married in the middle of Somerville, in a small park and when we got the photos back it was as if we were somewhere else entirely! Alyssa even scoped out a beautiful wall of greens and ivy that became some of our favorite shots of the bunch. She was even up for us taking a quick detour to the Longfellow bridge as the sun was setting- words cannot express how excited we were to be able to fit these shots in, they were stunning! We highly recommend her, 100 times over, to any couple looking for a photographer that was professional, creative and so clearly in love with what she does!

We also used her husband Allan as our videographer and he also did a fantastic job of capturing our entire wedding day. Besides the gorgeous wedding photos displayed on her page and the fact that she is based out of MA, I saw that she loved God, cats, and tacos - and thought, "What more do we need?!" But seriously, I admired Alyssa's work and thought her packages were priced very reasonably which worked with our recent-college-grad budget. Upon meeting her in person over coffee with my husband, I loved how relatable she was and how comfortable we felt with her. From our first meeting it was clear that she was very professional yet personable, and that she fully understood the look we were going for with our wedding and how best to capture it. In the months and days leading up to our wedding, Alyssa was in close contact. She worked with me to create a complete schedule of the wedding day events and all the photos to take; she had everything fully under control. On the day of our September 7th 2018 wedding, Alyssa (and her amazing second shooter Sarah Surette) excelled at making my family, wedding party, and my husband and I feel at ease; we all had so much fun! I could not have imagined the day going so smoothly without her. When we received an email from Alyssa saying our online gallery was ready I was so excited!!! The quality and quantity of the photos she and Sarah took on our wedding day was absolutely incredible.
