On the day of the wedding, it felt like an old friend just popped by to take some photos-- she was so personable and made me very at ease when my nerves were a little frazzled from the mild chaos of herding family members, putting together floral arrangements, and handling all the last minute DIY wedding details. My husband and I can both count on one hand the amount of photos we've had taken of ourselves in the last 5 years, so suffice to say we are somewhat uncomfortable being in front of a lens. You'd never know it from the amazing photos that resulted from our wedding. We are so so happy with the results of our wedding photos and wouldn't change anything about the whole experience. Here are some things that Alyssa excels at: -Prompt communication -Clearly laying out what options would work best for our particular wedding (we ended up doing a 2 hour session since our elopement style wedding was so small) -Blending in easily as a part of our family celebrations -Providing just enough direction to us to have nice backgrounds, body positioning, and moments captured without overly posing or creating artificial poses -An excellent combination of traditional wedding moments and unique spontaneity -A clear and reasonable contract (I like having a good contract to set clear expectations on both ends) -A very easy, professional, and visually pleasing format for displaying all the final photos -A super sweet slideshow that I will watch every day with happy tears in eyes -Everyone wants to know pricing-- I have no real frame of reference for cost of wedding photography because I only got one other quote for photography before finding Alyssa and realizing she was exactly what we wanted. I feel her prices were absolutely reasonable and competitive given both the skill she has in interacting with people, and the quality product she provides.

The bonus slideshow is such a nice touch, and the photos are sent via Pic-Time, which allows you to purchase prints, frames, etc directly from the portal. I almost don't have words for how stunning our photos are. Looking through them made me feel so grateful for all the wonderful people in our lives, and helped me remember how lovely our wedding day really was. d I met Alyssa I was 100% calmer. She was so kind and personable and made me feel completely at ease. The shoot felt like it went so quick and I never once felt like I was uncomfortable or hating it! I felt like we were just talking and getting to know each other and she was snapping a few pics while doing it! Long story short, she is incredible. he hundreds of pictures she gave us (yes, hundreds because we had her do everything: engagements, formals, wedding ceremony, and reception), I laughed or teared up at almost every single one. She is warm, funny, stylish, and observant. When we showed up for our engagments, we were fast friends. She gave the directions us noobs to photography needed to get good pictures. minute I came across her work that her talent was truly special, but to see the photos from our wedding only served to emphasize that further. Alyssa is kind, funny, genuine, responsive, and very easy to work with. I was worried the day after the wedding that I hadn't spent enough time doing planned photos and that I hadn't given her enough material, but I shouldn't have worried for it for a second. She managed to capture our day in the most complete and magical way that is beyond what I could have hoped for and we will cherish these pictures forever. brand new baby in tow, having just given birth within the past few weeks. See what I mean when I say dedicated? Not only did our engagement shots turn out well, somehow we didn't look awkward at all. She made us extremely comfortable, got us both laughing, even got me to forget that I forgot to wear half my makeup and our photos turned out raw and so beautiful, I still adore them. My husband, who dreads photos, had a good time, he didn't realize how long we were there, and he looked SO handsome in our pictures! A year later we got married across the country and though it cost a bit more to afford for Alyssa to come with us (think flight, hotel, transportation), we have zero regrets. She is a unique photographer through and through and we got one of a kind shots from our big city wedding, which was at a very old museum but a museum with funk and class, and she was a sport! 9 hours with a brand new baby, breastfeeding, not missing a moment of our magic or weirdness, we have shots we love and will get to look back on forever. We, to this day, get complimented on our color palette, the individuality in each of our photos, and the people we chose to be in our wedding party (how different, kind, beautiful in so many different ways they were, how cool it was they were from all over (yes, we're even talking different countries, not just states and cities), and everyone got along like they knew each other for years), and all of that wouldn't be half as apparent if it weren't for Alyssa and her artistic eye, the way she captures movement and especially interaction. I sense feeling in our photos. Some of my east coast friends even say they want her to come photograph their weddings when it is their time and I don't blame them, I fully encourage it. She is one of a kind, worth every penny and then some. After our wedding we wanted to take some raw photos back home in our great mountain state, my hubs dresses down and I chose to wear a more bohemian dress among the incredible rockfaces and stunning fall trees in one of our great canyons. We wanted to show some contrast between who we are and can be as a couple. We did the fancy, the big city, and now we wanted the rugged, raw, jagged, dirty, and the real mountains that we call home as a contrast. I'm so glad we shot our formal photos that way and that Alyssa agreed to let us do them differently. I didn't climb back into my Jenny Packham dress and drag it through the dirt, my husband wasn't back in a tux. We were us in the mountain weather. Best of all, we shot some photos announcing our honeymoon surprise...we had gotten pregnant on our honeymoon and are due in May! You bet your bums we will be looking to hire Alyssa to shoot that too, as we will be welcoming our first baby girl together into this world. I could not say better things about this photographer or the company she works for. I am beyond excited for her to document all parts and phases of our life, as it truly feels like she has been there from the beginning of our amazing journey together and I can't wait to see what unfolds for us and what that looks like through the ends of her mysterious, artsy, and always one-of-a-kind lens.
