Alyssa was a dream to work with! We had a great initial call and then she was on scene during my wedding and was a blast to work with. She did the hair and makeup of my mom, my mot...
her in law, myself and my flower girl, all of which some usually wear a lot of makeup. She mad everyone feel comfortable and each person loves the final result. Thanks so much Alyssa !
I had a destination wedding in Cannon Beach on 11/11. All the planning took place from Florida so sight unseen had it’s challenges. From the very first phone call Alyssa was amazin...
g. Incredibly professional and responsive…and also very kind. She was so helpful in all things related to getting married in Oregon when she didn’t have to be. She willingly answered my questions and gave sound advice which I needed. I’ve had makeup done before and I always walk away wishing I had done it myself. Not with Alyssa, honestly the best hair and makeup I have ever had. She is also just a fun person to be around and made that time before walking down the aisle a bit more relaxing and fun. I would recommend her in a second and use her again if I had the opportunity…the Oregon Coast is lucky to have her.
I had the most AMAZING experience with Alyssa! She was able to squeeze me in last minute and was so so wonderful and easy to communicate with. She made me feel so special and taken...
care of on our elopement day and don’t even get me started on the actual hair and makeup which was absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I’m a Mom of a one year old so it’s not often that I get to feel beautiful and she made me feel so beautiful. I can’t recommend enough!!
Oregon bride? Look NO further! Where do I begin? 40 days out from our elopement, my hair/makeup artist backed out. I was almost certain it would be near impossible to find a HMUA, ...
but luckily we were doing a mid week elopement so the odds were in our favor. I came across Underwood Makeup on Instagram, and from the second I read her website I KNEW she was the one. I didn’t want anyone else. And I knew our personalities would mix so so well. Being an out of state bride, we were unable to do a trial, but deep down I knew I could trust Alyssa to make me feel like my most beautiful self for such an important day. And she did! I’m very picky about my hair and makeup, and times past I’ve had to fix my makeup after someone does it. I didn’t have to touch up a single thing. I felt like a goddess and was just radiating confidence and a glow that I couldn’t describe. Not only was her communication stellar and her flexibility of making this all work on such short notice, she was so supportive in making sure my day would still be perfect despite low key freaking out when the other hair/makeup artist decided she wouldn’t be coming. And to top it all off… when my florals arrived the night before our wedding, I was yet again freaking out because they didn’t look anything like planned. I immediately messaged Alyssa, again, the night BEFORE our big day, asking if she knew of anyone who might be able to help. She immediately sent me a florist, who just so happened to grow her own flowers less than a half mile down the road from our AirBNB. The florist invited myself and my fiancé to come by the morning of our elopement to pick our own flowers and re work my bouquet. Both were truly a God send. I am forever grateful for Alyssa, and I trust she came into our lives for a reason. I consider her a forever friend! She is damn good at what she does, so don’t doubt for a second that you should look anywhere else. Thank you, Alyssa! My day wouldn’t have been the same without you! 🤍
Alyssa was so great to work with! She was very easy going and made me feel comfortable. She also did an AMAZING job on my hair and make up!
What a gem!! Alyssa is not only super talented and dedicated, but I felt like I'd made a new friend. My makeup and hair stayed put through rain, wind, dancing, cake, meals, endless...
hugs from distant relatives, you name it. I've never felt more confident. I really felt like myself and that she truly listened to me during the trial & on the day. So happy!!
Alyssa made my wedding morning perfect. Her skills with makeup and hair are amazing. She knows what works best with your skin type and what colors match your skin tone. She is so f...
un to work with and even helped me pick out our recessional song! Highly recommend her for your wedding day!
Alyssa is everything you would want in a wedding vendor. Kind, calm, professional, and incredibly talented. She was so helpful with putting together time tables and helping us get ...
everything we needed to be successful. She had a full plate with multiple heads to finish but she planned accordingly, everyone loved their looks, and we even ended earlier than planned. Her calming, warm energy was such a added bonus on wedding morning. If you’re looking for a dependable, fun, and exceptionally talented artist I cannot recommend Alyssa enough.
I booked Alyssa to do my hair and makeup for my engagement photos at the coast and I'm so glad I did! I've never gotten my makeup professionally done but she did awesome at bringin...
g my general idea of a look into life. Like, she knew exactly what I was looking for and even made the perfect shade of lipstick with a vague description of what I liked. I didn't feel super overdone or not like myself which was perfect since I don't usually wear much makeup. My hair and makeup stayed perfectly intact for the photos on a beach and windy cliffside too! Plus, she was super easy to talk to, the time I spent with her went by like nothing.
Alyssa was a dream to work with! She is professional, very experienced and totally made my day. We eloped on the coast of Oregon and I felt like I had a friend in Alyssa on my spe...
cial day. My hair and makeup were absolutely perfect and I have gotten so many compliments on them in my photos. I highly recommend Alyssa for her skill, passion for her work and all around talent!
Absolutely recommend Alyssa to anyone and everyone. I hired her 6 weeks out from my new wedding date (COVID bride) and I have nothing but positive things to say!

icating with her before the big day was easy and professional and I felt like she understood the mess of details in my brain of what I was wanting without knowing how to say. She came to me and set up shop in the condo I was staying in- she kept things clean and organized and was professional with keeping the COVID safety first and foremost! It was so easy to relax with her and she was realistic with time, which I appreciated.
One of the big things I was nervous about with makeup is that I do not wear very much- I wanted to still look like me but wanted makeup to show up in photos and be flattering. I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful I felt, that I did not feel like I was wearing makeup (not heavy caked on). She also did my lashes and they looked so beautiful without feeling heavy on my eyes.
I got so many compliments on both my hair and my makeup! She also did a beautiful half up do and it stayed secure on a very windy beach wedding day-- also impressive my hair stayed in place even after placing and removing my veil!
I would happily hire Alyssa for any and every occasion.
I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day thanks to Alyssa! She was so nice and put me right at ease. I showed her a few pics and she went to work with great co...
nfidence, doing an amazing job. I just got my photos back and my make-up looks stunning in them. Thank you Alyssa!!
Alyssa was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator, and I have to admit that I was totally the bride with zero interest in getting my hair and makeup done by a professional... ...
I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY I ENDED UP WORKING WITH ALYSSA! In every interaction, she was so sweet, responsive, professional and a WIZARD at her craft! She perfectly captured the "enhanced natural beauty" look I was going for on my wedding day. :-)
During our hair/makeup trial, Alyssa tried out some va-va-voom Hollywood waves in my hair, and I swear I've never looked more fabulous! But after the day wearing the waves and consulting with her extensive expertise (in a wide variety of hair textures), Alyssa ended up styling my naturally curly hair for my beach wedding, and it was PERFECT!
On the wedding day itself, Alyssa did hair/makeup for my mom prior to mine. I had warned her previously that my mom is very particular about her "look" and not to take any offense if she ended up changing things after Alyssa finished... I shouldn't have worried - my mom was THRILLED with Alyssa's work! Not only did she make me feel absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day, but the even greater gift was how happy and beautiful Alyssa made my mom feel on such a special day!
I cannot recommend Alyssa highly enough! Not only is she a talented artist when it comes to hair & makeup, but she is also just a wonderful and positive person to be around! Alyssa knows how to bring out the beauty, both inside and out!
My hairstylist recommended Alyssa for wedding hair and makeup, and I always trust her, and she did not steer me wrong! My now-husband and I decided to elope, and we had a couple of...
months to plan, so I lucked out that Alyssa had my day available. A trial run was not an option for me because of time constraints, but I knew I liked Alyssa's style based on photos of her work. I had some idea of what I wanted, so I emailed a few pictures to her and on the day of I said I wanted to look like myself, but I also wanted enough makeup so that it pops in the photos. So, really, I had no idea what I wanted. I told Alyssa to do her thing, and I have never felt so beautiful. If I am honest, I usually hate when other people do my hair, and I was in love with the way Alyssa styled it! Aside from her talent, she was incredibly personable, and it was fun chatting with her. All the thanks to Alyssa for making me feel like a bride. <3
I hired Alyssa to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. From the moment I met her, she exuded positivity and professionalism and was a joy to work with! She’s an incredibly tale...
nted artist and I was amazed at how perfectly she did both my hair and makeup. I had showed her a few Pinterest inspiration boards and she did exactly what I wanted but even better than I had imagined! I was so impressed with her and would HIGHLY recommend her! Both my makeup and hair lasted all night (even with the Oregon Coast wind and humidity) and I got so many compliments too.
Thank you Alyssa for a job extremely well done! ❤️
