She doesn’t just “take pictures”, she pours her heart into every image she takes. If you hire Amanda you will find that you become part of her family. Her sole focus is making sure that her clients are incredibly happy. She will go to great lengths to insure that your images are top notch. Her work has been recognized and praised within our peer group, which is why I trusted her as an associate. She is the full package.

. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the results. When we got the photos back, we only liked 20 out of the 116 photos she provided. At each pose, she only took 2-3 shots per pose, so there were not many options to choose from if either myself or my fiancée were not smiling naturally in that shot. When asked, Amanda said that her “style” is to only take a few shots per pose and only provide her favorites. We felt that many of her poses looked awkward in the photos: lots of smiling while looking at the ground and many shots that were too zoomed into our faces. We were also dissatisfied with her attention to detail – shots where my hair was completely covering my face, poses where she should have noticed and fixed wrinkles in suit jackets, and poses that she should have corrected bad posture or an awkward hand or arm placement. Finally, and most importantly in our view, Amanda does not PhotoShop her photos. We were expecting her to soften wrinkles/smile lines or smooth unflattering double chins caused by looking downwards. There was even a photo where a small black bug was flying past my face that could have easily been removed via Photoshop. When speaking to other photographers, they typically allow the bride/groom to select their favorite photos for extra editing – when I asked Amanda, she refused stating that PhotoShop is against her business practice and that she wouldn’t make an exception for us. Amanda charges $450 for an engagement session and we paid $875 for the wedding deposit. As such, given how disappointed we were with the engagement photos and with our wedding being still almost a year away, we asked if she would reimburse us the difference of $425. Amanda refused be accommodating, and was unprofessional in her tone when speaking with both me and my mother. Very frustrated with her unwillingness to compromise and very unhappy with her overall work product, ultimately, we decided to forgo our deposit and find another photographer for our wedding day.
