Amanda Hodges Weir Photography

booked a venue. From the very beginning, she was easy to work with and very responsive with any questions we had. My husband and I are both not used to being in front of the camera, but Amanda was so great at our engagement shoot, she captured natural and candid shots that looked amazing without making us seem posed. Arranging all of the details leading up to the wedding was a breeze, and she had everything down to a science. The info she provided me was actually used by some of the other vendors to keep everyone on the same page throughout the day. She was so relaxed and cool while taking all of the pictures beforehand, which I really think helped me stay calm, too! Her second, Cyd, talked to me while I was waiting to walk down the aisle and it was one of my favorite conversations of the night! Throughout the ceremony and reception, she did her thing and I didn't see her at all, except the few shots that she helped us get perfect, like the cake cutting. During the reception, she surprised us with a gift of champagne and printed photos from the ceremony less than an hour after they were taken! They were breathtaking, and it was so touching and thoughtful. After the reception ended, I went to the back room of the venue to grab something and saw Amanda and Cyd sitting on the floor of a back room, drinking coffee and already working on our photos. Not only that, but we received some of our photos 24 hours later and were able to relive the day and share them with family and friends. The rest of our photos were sent to us incredibly quickly, and every single photo is incredible. They don't just catalog the day, they capture the spirit of it. Not to mention, they made my husband and me, as well as our family and friends, look great! I really can't recommend Amanda and her team highly enough. If you want a photographer who will exceed your expectations and give you life-long momentos of your wedding day, look no further!

ur wedding so perfectly. She was quick to respond to any questions and listened to exactly what we wanted. We had no doubt or nervousness throughout the whole process and she exceeded our expectations.

surprised me by taking some amazing photos of my dog and me too! Amanda and Sid both were extremely professional and the photos they took throughout the wedding were simply stunning. I loved the number of photos they took during the reception and feel that they really captured the energy that was felt as we all celebrated my marriage to my husband. I would highly recommend Amanda for anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding!

nd no pressure. Amanda was very organized and in turn helped us to be organized. The day of the wedding was a breeze. We have so many wonderful candid photos. She really captured who we are. I would recommend Amanda to my family and friends without hesitation!

was always very responsive and receptive and I highly recommend her!

esponsive to messages, and flexible. I was so glad when she made a "timeline" for my wedding day because it made everything more organized. She captured the true essence of our wedding day and I will cherish our pictures forever! Amanda Hodges Weir Photography definitely "takes the cake"!

n't have asked for a better photographer for my wedding!

distractions that come with the reception she reminded me when to cut the cake, when to toss the bouquet, and toss the garter and still took great photos. I don't know what I would have done without her help. She went over and beyond what a photographer should have done.

era. She is professional, always on time, and always quick to respond to the many questions, phone calls, and email exchanges we have had. But her true magic comes in her ability to so beautifully capture the special moments of our day! We highly recommend Amanda!

rson to talk through my plans and vision. She brought examples of her work, explained her process, and presented all of the pricing options up front. Because I opted not to do bridals or engagement photos, Amanda offered a credit towards my album and prints. I immediately booked her after our meeting! Leading up to the wedding, Amanda was constantly communicating and checking in. She worked with my and my day-of coordinator to create a timeline for all of the photos I wanted done before the ceremony began. She brought another photograph (2 photographers were included in my package) who was also wonderful. Throughout the night she helped direct my husband and me, timed photos to get the right light, and captured lots of the candids that I requested. We got our photos in one week, which is unheard of for most wedding photographers! We got lots of compliments on them and were very happy with the result. I'm still working on finishing my album, but Amanda has reached out even after the wedding to see if I needed any help in picking out photos. Amanda is great to work with, professional, and a standout value among the other options I found in my search. I definitely recommend her for your wedding.

nication from start to end. Any friend I know who gets married will be using Amanda!

ions no matter how many times I emailed her. Great person to work with. I feel like she captured everything that I wanted and more.

was great at picking places to take the photo. I love them. Plus we got our picture picked up by the Gambit! It was a ton of fun and at the end of it we had some pictures that we truly cherish. The rehearsal dinner was great as well. Her pictures really picked up the wonderful emotions of the meal. Overall amazing. Would recommend to anyone!

were not disappointed! Her and her sister were on time, professional, creative, and very personable! She is also a third generation photographer which impressed us! It's in her blood! She captured so many beautiful shots but our favorite shots were of our second line. It started raining during our second line and she really captured the moment and the fun that we had dancing and singing in the rain. We will always treasure our wedding photos and the wonderful job that Amanda did!

her again!

etting (an old New Orleans restaurant) was romantically dim, which is not ideal for photographs. Amanda's associate Rachael and her lighting assistant worked very well with what they were given. The photos came out very well lit. The space was also small, even cramped. Rachael was able to set up her shots the way she wanted them. We have several stylized pictures of the flower arrangements, table settings, and wedding rings. Rachael complied with our special photo requests, including various combinations of family, friends and a group picture of all 24 of us. She was patient with guests who were taking pictures with their cell phones. Rachael arrived early and stayed longer than the two hours I asked for. We were not billed for the extra time. I highly recommend Amanda Hodges Weir Photography for your wedding and party needs. They are professional, talented photographers who will exceed your expectations. They exceeded mine!

aph special moments of a lifetime. We would highly recommend her!

or our big day! As soon as we saw Amanda's work we had no doubt in our minds that she would be the perfect fit for us! She was absolutely amazing and was such a joy to work with. She definitely put my crazy nervous bride mind at ease and our photos from that day will be forever cherished. I love showing them off to all of our family and friends and would recommend Amanda a million times over again. She truly has a passion for what she does and it shows in her work and her interaction with her clients I cannot thank Amanda enough for everything she did for us and look forward to working with her again!

unded about pausing to get a shot but she still got the shots and they were amazing! Highly recommend, she is great!

al, and went above and beyond her role. My pictures came back less than four weeks after the wedding date and they were absolutely stunning! She captured all of the moments that I dreamed of! I wouldn't hesitate to book her again for another event! She is by far the best!!! I can't thank you enough Amanda!!!

! Amanda was very reasonable on her prices and we loved the coffee table photo albums! Amanda made us feel like family instead of just client. We LOVE Amanda and will continue to use her in the future!

there was practically impossible. But there was one part that I never had to worry about....the photographer! I found her online and she responded so quickly and her communication was clear and efficient. Amanda made the whole process so stress-free, and on a day that is so full of stress, it was relieving to have her. Amanda had great ideas for many different picture poses and I really trusted her input. The final product turned out better than I could ever have imagined. To this day I still go through the pictures everyday. Amanda was able to capture the sweetest, most candid moments. Something that means way more to me than posed pictures. My husband and I have way more great photos than we even know what to do with. You know you had a great photographer when your husband says "let's get married again! I loved that day" after looking through all the photos for the first time. I am so blessed that I was able to work with Amanda for my wedding day. She eased my nerves on a crazy day and always gave me assurance. I highly recommend Amanda Hodges Weir!!

ional. The pictures are a treasure. I have 6 pictures framed around my house. Amanda was dependable. Three other photographers would not return phone calls, or show up for meeting. Amanda even checked on me a few days before.

r pictures could not have come out better. I have recommended several people and I will definitely use Amanda for our next pictures, baby here we come!!

he quality of the photos was very good and artistic. We had a large range of indoor/outdoor and day/night photos as well as serious, fun, and action photos. We highly recommend Amanda and were very pleased with her work!

eing the subject of photos but she made me feel at ease and we had so much fun! Most of the time I had no idea she was snapping away and was so surprised to see the moments she captured on film. Our pictures were beautiful and she helped us capture our wedding day perfectly.

She captured our day perfectly! I am so glad we found her and used her for our wedding. I would highly recommend her to anyone and can't wait for another occasion to use her!

ook away all of the hassle and stress of gathering everyone for all of those important pictures that every bride wants on her special day. Her creativity and attention to all of the small details will be something we can enjoy through all of our happy years together. I would highly recommend her to anyone and look forward to seeing her again for family photos.

results were beautiful! Highly recommended.
