Amanda Rai Photography goes above and beyond. I searched and searched for a photographer that felt right. Someone who would make my camera-shy husband feel comfortable, someone who...
would make our photos feel natural, and someone who we wanted there on our big day. When I found Amanda and started chatting with her, I knew we had found our photographer.
Amanda was encouraging and responsive from day one. Upon signing the contract, she sent a gift to welcome us to Team Arai! My husband and I were a little late to the game on the engagement shoot but Amanda put all our concerns at ease and worked with us to find the perfect location and capture stunning photos on a day when the weather threatened to pour at any moment! We then had sneak peaks of our photos in less than 24 hours! AND all of our photos shortly thereafter. Honestly, she’s a miracle worker!
Those final weeks leading up to a wedding can be a little chaotic to say the least and I was so touched when Amanda sent a Starbucks giftcard as a thoughtful gift to allow my husband and I to take a moment to pause, breathe and connect over coffee. It was these little touches that put Amanda in a category of her own.
Then came wedding day and Amanda was communicative and timely, independently captured the details while I was running around getting ready, and her husband happened to be her second shooter for our wedding and he was wonderful as well! They continued to make my husband and I comfortable as we moved to each photo location/opportunity and our wedding party and family loved working with them as well. Truly, the dream team!
Once again, we received sneak peaks and a beautiful blog post written by Amanda within a week of our wedding, followed by the full gallery in less than a month! We are in love with our photos and are so so grateful for the time, effort and thought put into them by Amanda and her team.

However, there were some downsides. Attention to detail and direction was lacking, with dress and flower adjustments overlooked. We were disappointed to find that a certain section of our day was missing from our wedding album, particularly the getting ready photos of the groomsmen and my husband with his parents.
While Amanda's light and airy style impressed us, the overall experience lacked a personal touch. We didn't feel entirely comfortable behind the camera and felt somewhat like just another wedding on the schedule.
We would recommend her for aesthetic style and efficiency but suggest designating someone in your wedding party to pay close attention to detail for you.

Not only is she SO organized (as someone who is type A this was fantastic) but she truly makes you feel like you are her friend. She is warm, bubbly, and encouraging which is what you want on your wedding day.
Fast forward to the wedding-she made me and my entire bridal party feel SO comfortable. She knows exactly how to pose you to get the perfect shots, and she is a true hype girl the entire time. THE PHOTOS ARE STUNNING (seriously), and she even has an Ipad where they are up at the wedding to see a sneak peek. She’s so prompt at returning photos, and so communicative. We also just got a surprise in the mail of a framed photo she sent us.

up with her associate team and LET ME TELL YOU did they do a great job! Not only did the ladies show up early, but they stayed a bit late to help us capture a few last-minute shots. They were so friendly, helpful, and excited to be there. They worked great with the videographer, each team building off the other (which worked out perfectly)! The team has been perfectly curated by Amanda to have not only great photography skills, but to be kind and just a wonderful addition to the wedding day. We felt like they were additional guests at our wedding (in a good way) because they were so fun to be around!
The ladies remembered very specific details that we only mentioned once or twice and made sure to photograph those things! They were firm and kind with our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family to make sure we got all the necessary shots! Really, you couldn't ask for more.
Also, Amanda was so quick to help when we needed to reschedule. We were originally scheduled for 2021, but couldn't end up doing our wedding on that day. She jumped right into helping us figure out how to reschedule and we couldn't be more grateful for her flexibility and willingness to help us out during COVID!

he process! From day one of signing our contract they laid out the entire process from contract signing, to creating a custom timeline for our wedding which I received within 1 week of booking.
During our engagement photo session Melissa was SO helpful to make sure we had the best photo turnout. She captured all of the love and joy my fiancée and I felt toward each other in all of our pictures. Amanda was able to get our entire session back to us within 3 days!!

ast year and she did an incredible job and got them to us really fast. She makes you feel comfortable and the whole process felt effortless even though we were both a little nervous. She has been super responsive and is very organized and has helped us narrow down a timeline for our wedding coming up. I could not recommend her and her team enough!
