I could go on for days about how amazing Amanda was to work with! We needed a GF menu, and someone who truly understood how to do that without cross-contamination or "sneaky" gluten in items you might not expect. Amanda has a family member who is Celiac, for whom she cooks all the time, so she is VERY aware and educated on the issue. Initially I thought we didn't know what we wanted, but after thinking about it, I realized we absolutely Did know what we wanted! I explained the dishes to her and she said it was all totally doable. We wanted a filling, hearty dinner, and we wanted everyone to be Wowed, and she knocked it out of the park. We did a trial run, and our whole family just couldn't stop talking about how good it was, and how we wished it was something we could order for dinner again! We couldn't wait to eat our wedding dinner! Amanda's communication was stellar, she offered extra help above and beyond what we expected a caterer to do, and I'm sure above what a restaurant would've done. The day of, she arrived on time, everything was exactly as we ordered, set up well, it all looked clean and professional, and so did she and her team. We paid extra for full service, which she was able to provide, and it was fantastic service. Everything was seamless, she even offered to make us plates but we said no, and I don't know if someone saw my knees wobble somehow or what, but they just went ahead and did it anyway and brought us to our table, so we got full plates while it was hot (our guests went back for more and we had NO leftovers except salad, every morsel was devoured, and they brought plenty of food! It was just that good!) and we both just sunk into our chairs and realized how famished we were, and gobbled it down like it was going to disappear! It was SO GOOD. We had 2 salads (a classic caesar with GF croutons, and a greens, berries & nuts creation with strawberry champagne vinaigrette), 2 entrees (braised beef with mushrooms and onions in a red wine gravy, and stuffed chicken with spinach, sundried tomatoes and fontina in a garlic cream sauce), roasted veggies and Yukon gold mashed potatoes. Everyone raved about the food, my mother in law was so impressed she just couldn't tell me enough how much she loved them (she is the Celiac who necessitated the GF menu, as our wedding was at their home), and no one could believe it was all GF. We had an issue with the rental coffee urns, and she solutioned on it and made it work, again, above and beyond. I want to come up with events just to hire her to cater - I've seen her breakfasts, and charcuterie boards, they look so good, I wish I could've hired her for a whole wedding weekend and tried everything! Food was our most important part of our wedding, and she made it better than we imagined. Everything was flawless, and I know everyone will talk about our dinner for years to come. Can't say enough, really, just, unbelievable. 10/10+
