Amanda's Touch Bridal & Formal

I can't say enough good things about Amanda's Touch. I found my dress in another city, however, for convenience, wanted to buy closer to home. Amanda was able to track down my dress (only based on a few pictures and a brand) and have it ordered. Naturally I was nervous that it wouldn't be the correct dress, so she went out of her way to get me pictures and assured me that it would be correct. The dress came in and it was beautiful (and a good amount cheaper than where I initially found it). You can be certain that you are getting the best price and the best help at Amanda's Touch.

I had an amazing time at Amanda’s touch! Even during the COVID pandemic my consultant, Kristy, still made me feel special. Kristy reached out to me before my appointment and followed up after as well. She helped me find the perfect gown and helped me envision how it would look after alterations. The boutique was gorgeous and inviting and all the staff were very nice.

I got a last minute appointment and Amanda’s helped me find my dress in my first bridal visit. They recommended a very prompt and skilled seamstress and have reasonably priced packages. I was very satisfied with their service, though I had a newer consultant that seemed a little unfamiliar with their inventory (which is not unreasonable).

Amanda's Touch offers a wonderful experience when shopping for your dream dress and also offers affordable, yet gorgeous and intricately detailed gowns! They carry gowns by Stella York and Essense of Australia, which are well-made, romantic, and accommodate a wide range of budgets. The staff is eager to meet you, discuss your big day, fiance, and vision for your perfect gown before walking you through their selection. I could not be more pleased with my experience!

My experience at Amanda's Touch was FABULOUS!!! I received prompt communication through email about questions I had prior to even setting foot in the shop. Once I arrived, I was greeted by an extremely friendly staff. I had the pleasure of working with Bri (Brianna Shafer) during my appointment. I'm not super girly and was nervous about this process (this was my first stop). Bri helped me feel extremely comfortable and confident through it all. With her guidance, I found a dress I absolutely loved in less than an hour. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Amanda's Touch and Bri! THANK YOU!!!!

Amanda's Touch is the absolute best, and everyone who works there is amazing! I started with Kristie to find my wedding dress. She listened to everything I had to say and found me the absolute perfect dress! We also got all of our formal wear from Amanda's Touch. Brianna and Amanda helped my bridesmaids find their perfect dresses and order the correct size. They also helped us stay on top of all of the men to get their measurements so we could order their correct sizes! Having everything done at the same place made everything so easy, and everyone at Amanda's Touch is so helpful. I would definitely recommend them for all of your wedding attire needs!

I could not be happier with my experience at Amanda's Touch. Kristie was fantastic to work with, knowledgeable and personable, without being too formal. The salon looks like other salons I saw as a bridesmaid in Georgetown- separate rooms for the bride and her guests, immaculate decorations, even beverages to offer. There are a wide range of dresses, but once my family and friends told Kristie what I was looking for, she knew right where to point us and what to recommend. After trying out just three dresses, I knew I had found my dress here. Since booking my first appointment, the line of communication has been open and clear, too. Buy your dress here, seriously!

My first visit to Amanda's Touch was a spur of the moment idea & it was just me and mom. We worked with Bri and she was absolutely lovely and so sweet. My second appointment was a month or so later and I had in addition to my mom, my grandmother and 2 of my bridesmaids. This time it was Chelsea who helped us and she was just as lovely! After getting a vision of the type of dresses I liked & didn't like, Chelsea actually went into the back and pulled out a dress that hadn't been put on the rack yet & that dress was THE DRESS! This shop is personable; The people are so nice and helpful; It's not too big to the point where you feel overwhelmed with dresses, which is what I wanted. I would recommend Amanda's Touch to every bride-to-be!

Amanda’s Touch is everything you want in a bridal salon! The staff is friendly, welcoming, and truly wants you to find the dress that you love. Chelsea Brenneman helped me find my dress and I would encourage anyone to ask for her when shopping at Amanda’s! All of the wonderful ladies at Amanda’s Touch truly made my wedding dress shopping experience amazing and unforgettable! Brianna did such an outstanding job with assisting me from beginning to end, from contacting me prior to my appointment to get an idea of what I was looking for, to helping me customize the PERFECT dress for my big day! Brianna, as well as the rest of the ladies I encountered at Amanda’s Touch were extremely professional, helpful and were obviously experts at what they do. One of the things I was most impressed with was how well Brianna listened to every little thing that I said during my appointment and took my every thought and opinion into consideration when helping to pull dresses for me – it made the whole experience feel very personal and that much more special. I was able to try on as many dresses as I wanted and never felt rushed. When I found a dress that was almost perfect, Brianna suggested a way to change and customize the straps, which totally transformed the look into the most perfect dress I could imagine! Their hospitality and professionalism even went a step further the following day when I saw Brianna and some of the girls from the shop at a local bridal show – not only were they excited to see me and chat again, but Brianna also made it a point to introduce me to the seamstress that would be doing the alterations on my dress. I would highly recommend Amanda’s Touch to any bride in the area looking for a special, comfortable and personal salon at which to buy their gown – I can’t wait to continue to work with them for my bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen’s attire!

Brianna was awesome! She made the process of choosing everything so easy for my fiancé and I. Once everything came in, it all fit everyone perfectly and took so much stress off of our shoulders. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Chelsea was amazing! I actually fell in love with the first dress I tried on but I ended up trying on a total of 6 dresses. 2 of which Chelsea picked out because they were things I said I liked but Chelsea wanted me to try them on to see if I did like them or if it helped solidify that the first one was THE one. I ended up leaving Saturday without the dress but came back with my family on Wednesday to buy the dress with Chelsea’s assistance again! She was a pleasure, helpful, and made the experience fun!

Kristie at Amanda’s was my bridal consultant and she is fabulous!!! I showed her pictures of what I liked, she pulled dresses and I honestly loved all of them. She is so professional and knowledgeable. She made recommendations on shoes, jewelry, and veils that would compliment the dress I chose . I felt like she really wanted me to love whatever dress I ended up with, she wasn’t just trying to sell me a dress or talk me into something. It was a relaxed,fun, and comfortable afternoon. I also ordered my son’s tuxedo from here as well, and it fit him perfectly!!! The color of his bow tie matched my colors flawlessly! If your looking for the perfect wedding dress, I recommend going to see Kristie, your search would be over!!!!

I had the very best experience at Amanda's Touch. The staff is very friendly and so very helpful. I found my perfect, amazing wedding dress on my first appointment looking, and tried on less than ten gowns! The pricing is wonderful, especially with the additional bridal package options available. Amanda's Touch is the best place to get your wedding dress AND bridesmaid dresses. I thought finding a bridesmaid dress would be easy but it was not! I told Kristi what I wanted just by a picture and she found the absolute PERFECT dress. Not only did I say YES to the dress there, so did my bridesmaid, and my groom and his groomsman will be using them for formal wear as well. All of the ladies at Amanda's Touch and Bridal were absolutely amazing!! They were all so helpful throughout the entire process. This was the first and only place I looked for my wedding dress because I found my perfect dress on the first try. I remember walking in and being so overwhelmed by all of the beautiful dress and I remember thinking how will I ever be able to decide. The girls there made the process so easy and smooth. Not to mention they really make you feel special while you are in there. I appreciated having my own suite, where my family could sit back and relax while I tried on dresses. I also appreciated having Amanda, walk around and stay involved in what each bride was trying/deciding on. I was so impressed with the quality of service that after trying and failing at several other stores for bridesmaids dresses...I decided to come back and bring my bridesmaids to Amanda's. We found a beautiful dress that worked for all of them. The girls at Amanda's were also so helpful in this process. I had two bridesmaid in different states and one that needed extra material and had to order it months after the original dress at been ordered. All of the dresses arrived to each bridesmaid in perfect condition and the extra material matched perfectly to the original dress. I cannot say enough about these ladies and the quality of service they offered myself and my bridesmaids. Do not waste your time going to any other store.

Absolutely amazing bridal salon. I worked closely with Kristie from the very beginning and she was amazing. I decided to not only get my dress from them, but also the suits and bridesmaids dresses as well. Everything was reasonably priced and nothing was majorly expensive! They do offer Bridal Packages and I was able to tack that expense onto my gowns tab and save money on the suit rentals and dresses for my girls. The package also included a dress bag and preservation of your dress and other items. I didn’t feel overwhelmed when doing my fitting and that was important to me. Although I kept an open mind throughout the process, Kristie listened to what I liked and gave great suggestions. I was able to get my dress, a decorative belt, veil and shoes for less than $2000! I would recommend this salon to anyone. They also do homecoming/prom gowns as well!

I said Yes to the Dress at Amanda's Touch for my May 13, 2017 wedding at Keswick Vineyards near Charlottesville, VA. Kristie was so nice and helpful and truly made me feel so comfortable as this was my first time trying on wedding dresses. She knew exactly what I wanted from just speaking with me. Amanda was there as well and they both were just so nice, accommodating, and you could really tell they know what they are doing with their suggestions and input on accessories such as veil, belt, jewelry, etc. I felt like a princess with the one-on-one attention and appreciated their creativity in making my dress my own. We were on the fence on what ties to get for my husband so Amanda offered to get both styles to allow us to choose when they arrived in person and I feel that not everyone would do that. They also have great deals and "packages" to save you and your bridal party some money so I went with the diamond package and received percentages off by purchasing the bridesmaids dresses through them and renting tuxes for my husband and the groomsmen. This package also has other incentives such as dress preservation, etc. They are the total package and I had an awesome experience with them and I will continue to highly recommend them.

Amanda's Touch was extremely helpful and great to work with when picking out my dress. Their dresses were definitely at the higher end of my budget, but they had a great selection and all the girls were so kind and welcoming!

Today, I chose the wedding dress of my dreams! Maddy was an excellent consultant and lead me into the right direction into finding the perfect dress for my theme and venue. They also offered me a package deal that cut major costs for my bridesmaid dresses and tuxes for my groom and his groomsmen. They are an amazing salon with stunning dresses and I cannot wait to walk down the isle!

Chelsea at Amanda's Touch gave me a wonderful experience. This was the first time I had ever tried on dresses and she kept me calm and I never once felt overwhelmed by the process. I recently bought my dress at Amanda's Touch and it was such a great experience. The store is so cute and the workers are all so helpful! They have a pretty good selection for being a smaller store. The dresses are reasonably priced; anywhere from 1,000-2,000 from what I saw. They also have bridesmaid dresses, so when I decided on the dress I wanted (Which Amanda's Touch was the first and only place I went to look!!) my bridesmaids were able to pick theirs out. Hailey, my consultant, was so kind and helpful, and she made my day extremely enjoyable, considering I had a group of 9 girls with me! I am so glad I got my dress here, and I highly recommend them!

Amanda's Touch was an absolutely amazing, stress-free place to shop for my wedding dress! I made an appointment for a Tuesday morning (Amanda even called me on Monday to confirm it, even though the salon is closed on Mondays!) and we had the salon to ourselves -- I definitely enjoyed not feeling the pressure of "competing" with other brides to try on dresses. My consultant, Kristie, was a doll. She was helpful without being pushy, and took my likes and dislikes into consideration when picking dresses for me. Ultimately she was the one who picked out "The Dress" and my mother, MIL, and I all thought it really summed up my personality and complimented my shape to a T. I would absolutely recommend Amanda's Touch to any bride, especially if you are able to get a weekday appointment for a more personalized experience.

They had a great selection of Stella York dresses and the funniest thing is I fell in love with the first dress I tried on, after trying about 6 on! Amanda's touch is an awesome place for finding a weeding dress. I felt heard by Kristie, my consultant. She stayed in my price range and pulled dresses similar to the pictures I sent her ahead of time.

My first appointment with Amanda's Touch (I wanted to go to the Stella York trunk show) was snowed out and since I was coming in from out of town, the owner and staff were incredibly helpful and talked to me extensively for the entire weekend I was in town. I went back the next weekend for my appointment with Zoe and I'm so glad I did. She was so kind and complementary as I tried on wedding dresses for the first time. I purchased my dress off the rack from Amanda's Touch and it was not only under budget, but they took $100 off because the hem was a little banged up. It should also be noted that they have a wide range of sizes-- I was really anxious since I'm a size 12-14 that I wouldn't be able to find a dress in my size (some salons carry sizes closer to sample) but I had many, many options at Amanda's Touch and never felt self-conscious about my size. I would highly recommend Amanda's Touch to brides as it made for a smooth, happy dress buying experience (including by mom, who paid).

I absolutely loved the staff at Amanda's Touch. Everyone was so helpful and made the experience of searching for the perfect dress a fun and memorable one. I can say that I did "Say Yes to the Dress" at Amanda's Touch. Chrissie was so wonderful to work with. She took the time to listen to what I had in mind and was attentive in what dress type would look good and tie into they style I wanted. She even had suggestions that I had not even thought of but made it fun to try. I truly felt like she wanted to make sure I decided on the dress I wanted as well as what would be perfect for the day, not just a sale. The selection of styles and sizes was amazing. They had a great array of suggestions for vendors and venues as well to help the wedding planning process which was included in a brochure folder upon buying my dress. I just really had a great time in the store and felt that the staff truly wanted to help make this part of my wedding a special and fun time, which it was.

I found the most amazing wedding dress at Amanda's Touch. The craziest thing was that we stopped by the day before my wedding to find a dress!! Not only did I find my perfect dress, my brides maids found dresses too, all at an amazing price!! The staff was incredibly helpful and nice! The girls at Amanda's Touch are fantastic!! I went in there without a vision because if I found something I liked then they may not have had or I may not have liked it when I tried it on...so I didn't really have a style that I was dead set on. My personal stylist chose a couple gowns that she thought fit my body type and what I had in mind for the wedding venue. She took the time to get to know me and what my wedding was going to look like so she chose a few dresses based on that. I think I tried on 5 dresses, but the last dress was the one!! I purchased my dress over a year before our big day because at the time we were shooting for a Fall wedding, but then decided to push it until the Spring. Amanda's also offers free steaming before your big day and a 6 month hold so you can have a place to store your dress for a little while or while you save up $$ for your perfect dress! Amanda's was so accommodating, affordable, and the atmosphere is great!

From the first phone call with Amanda's Touch, I knew this was where I would find my wedding dress! Amanda and her team were so friendly! They asked many questions about my big day. I also was contacted by my personal stylist who asked me even more questions in order to find the perfect dress for me! I had tried on dresses at two other shops. I tried on a few dresses at Amanda's Touch before finding the one I loved! My stylist even helped me customize the dress to make it more my own! I loved having one-on-one attention and service! They had a great selection of dresses for a variety of prices. Found two perfect dresses and they were extremely helpful and patient as I made my final decision! They did not pressure me in any way (and the two dresses were very different in price!)!

I highly recommend visiting this bridal shop, especially if you are in the southwest Virginia area. I personally came all the way from Charlotte, NC to have my appointment. I found it by searching for a place half way between myself, my family, and my friends and Amanda's Touch came up. The staff at Amanda's Touch is very friendly and aconmodating. They typical suggest bringing 2-3 people to the appointment with you, but did a great job fitting all 8 that I brought with me. I worked with Zoe and she was amazing. She did a great job helping me figure out what style I liked best and the details that were important to me. I went in willing to try on anything and thought I would never be able to narrow it down, but Zoe helped me and my group with that. She did a great job finding out a little about my venue and the style I was going for and we went from there. She helped me find the perfect dress and viel that matched amazingly.

Amanda's Touch is amazing, and I am so lucky to have worked with Kristie who is very helpful, patient, and friendly! She made wedding dress shopping completely stress-free and smooth. Amanda's Touch was the first bridal shop I had ever gone to and I was not expecting to find a dress at the first shop I went to - but I did! I am so excited that I found my perfect dress! Going to Amanda's was my first dress trying on experience. It was awesome! My consultant made me feel so comfortable, she really wanted to make sure I was happy. I had a minor breakdown, oh the stresses of planning a wedding and my consultant understood completely and wanted to make sure I wasn't overwhelmed. I made an appointment at a bridal show in Harrisonburg and was entered into a drawing for a free dress. I didn't win, but during my appointment found the perfect lace dress for my wedding in Charlottesville a few weeks ago! My mom wasn't there because she was out of state when the drawing was done and I figured I'd just check out the gowns. The consultant (I forget her name) was very nice and supportive and did not pressure me at all. She actually suggested the dress, and I didn't think I would like it. I got so many compliments on it and LOVE how it looks on me after being altered!

Amanda's Touch was fabulous all around. They are so friendly and welcoming. My dress is gorgeous, of fabulous quality and very well-priced. My mom, sister and I really enjoyed our bridal appointment with Zoe. We will be going back for the Tuxes!

Amanda’s Touch has a great selection of wedding dresses. I needed a dress off the rack because I had a short timeline and Amada’s Touch was the perfect place to accomplish that. The dress I ended up buying was a one of a kind dress made by a local designer. I ended up needing quite a bit of alterations done, but that is to be expected when you buy off of the rack. Amanda’s Touch also pressed and cleaned my dress and veil before the wedding and did a stellar job!
