Amara Events was founded in May 2019 by two African-American women with a passion for tasteful event planning, coordinating, and decorating services.
We started as friends with a crazy idea of taking a hobby and transforming it into a thriving business venture. “Amara” is an Igbo word that means grace; that is what we strive to bring to all of our events.
We truly enjoy creating beautiful experiences for our clients. There is something uniquely rewarding about delivering a service that promotes joy in the world. The feeling is truly incomparable.
Whether you’re newly engaged and trying to navigate the planning process, or you’re deep into your planning and just need a professional touch to carry out your wedding plans, we’ve got you covered. We specialize in all things “wedding” so if you have no idea what you’re doing, or you have an idea but need some guidance, look no further.
