Amara Photo

Working with Masao of Amara photo began so long before our wedding day we truly felt like we knew him when the big day came. We exchanged several emails and did a skype video chat to begin the process. It was lovely getting to know Masao and we were excited to do an engagement session with him. Our engagement session began at 5:45am on the water in New York City in November. Masao risked frostbite taking our photos but he made two very awkward people not only comfortable with him, but in front of the camera. We had a fun morning and when the images came back I was impressed to see how well he captured our love and goofiness. Leading up to our wedding, Masao had us fill out an incredibly detailed questionnaire to make sure everything was all set. We reviewed the answers over the phone and felt very confident knowing he would do an incredible job. We were so excited to meet Yofred on the day of the wedding and between the two of them, we know we got incredible shots. They are both such calm and kind human beings, which are two important characteristics on what might be a stressful day. My mother had expressed concern beforehand that photographers would be in the way and ruining the moment, but after the event she kept exclaiming how impressed she was that they always seemed to be a fly on the wall, not intruding but capturing all of our important moments. Their honest style is matched by their personalities and it was a pleasure to have them photograph our wedding.

My photographers were fantastic. Were willing to even come to the venue to scout out locations with us to pick the perfect spot for pictures and ceremony (we had many options at our venue). The photos are beautiful and the photographers were incredibly professional and we enjoyed having them around (even though I never saw them during the wedding because they were so skilled).

Masao and Yofred of Amara Photo were a great team to work with. They were so easy going and were able to capture all of the moments we wanted. They even created images that my husband and I could not have imagined. We are so grateful that they were a part of our wedding day!
