We are sooo happy we went with Amari for our wedding videographers. They captured our day perfectly and from multiple viewpoints! We had a different company for photography and they worked together so well. They made sure to always give us our space while still managing to capture every important moment. Watching the video they made felt like reliving the day all over again. I was in tears instantly. Also huge bonus that they somehow managed to make me look like the star of a romantic comedy!? Planning a wedding can be overwhelming. Talking to various vendors can also be hard to keep up with. But Amari? They knew what they were doing from the start. I was torn between them and another vendor(how dare I think twice about them). Their consistency in follow ups was the right amount, they were so patient with my lack of responses and were kind enough to hold our date as I worked through things.
I can’t believe I even thought twice about them. Their work is phenomenal. Let’s start with our videographer Corey, he stepped into any room and calmed the chaos. He has a true eye for good shots and knew exactly the right moments to film. There’s people who are gifted and there’s people who try to be skilled. Corey is absolutely gifted. He truly has an eye for this and is such a natural. He helped mitigate a lot of the frenzy and was still able to capture everything so organically. He was on time, read all my notes ahead of time, dressed professionally and had an overall great presence. He worked insanely hard on our wedding day and went the extra mile with so many things. I would hire Corey a million times over, given the chance. Thank you Corey!
We had a second videographer who was there for a few hours and took all the groom shots. He was also phenomenal as well and our groom shots came out great! I just didn’t see him much as I was with Corey most the time.
Leading up to the wedding, the teams communication was above and beyond. They always responded so quickly, gave answers the best they could and tried their best to work with us in anyway they could.
Now let’s talk about the actual content! We received the sneak peak a few days after the wedding and it was so cute!
The 30 min feature film makes everything worthwhile. They captured all the core memories so perfectly. Everyone looked so beautiful, the sound system they used was great quality, the video quality is amazing and they blended the clips so perfectly. Every moment, they captured the lighting well, the angles, it was just perfection! I seriously was in awe and felt like I got to relive my wedding day over and over! I don’t know if they intentionally did this but they sent it to me on my birthday and it was the best video to watch!
I searched high and low for different pricing and inclusions and Amari productions was a very fair price for what they offer. In fact, it’s a steal with how good their work is. They also give you all raw footage which is an extra perk.

From the first day I was introduced to wedding photo & video, I was absolutely enthralled. Here was a profession where people would commission you to create art for them - documenting the most special day of their lives - creating family heirlooms that they and their loved ones would cherish forever. I could not believe it was a real job, and one that you could make a career out of!
So, after spending a few years apprenticing with other studios, my wife and I founded Amari Productions in 2011. It has been my passion project ever since!
One immediate change I wanted to bring to our industry was to break the model of having a single team, whose price would raise exponentially with experience. As someone who’s always loved to teach & coach, and who’s passionate about the art form of our storytelling, I saw an opportunity to build a team, and to pass on what I had learned to my fellow creatives.
Fifteen years later, and our unique model has allowed us to bring together so many stakeholders - our family of creatives who have a place to call home & make art, our couples who can expect luxury level experience and quality at a fraction of the cost, and my wife and I - who over time have been able to start a family and have our weekends to be with our kids, all while nurturing this amazing team.

te would be to tell them to follow you around and not be swayed by your guests... especially if you know you have guests who will try to "steal" your videographer. Unfortunately, I forgot to communicate this to our videographer. My family "took" our videographer and he ended up filming my family on the dance floor (instead of me and my husband lol) while we were doing a nighttime photoshoot outside. Other than that small hiccup, Chris was a pretty chill guy to work with and I would recommend him!!

n Oceanside wedding in Southern California, it made the most sense for us to go with folks that were from the same company for smoother communication and coordination.
For the most part, working with Amari was pretty streamlined once we reached out that we were interested. A discovery call was set and from there we signed our contract and used their website portal to answer questions of what we were looking for in terms of vibes for our videography and photography. I loved how detailed the questions were. I remembered one question asking something along the lines of “anything we should know about the couple,” in which we had shared that I had divorced parents and my partner had a parent pass. I think this question is super important as we’ve had in the past (during our City Hall ceremony) hired a photographer who did not ask this detail and found out in an awkward situation that my parents were divorced (they are not lovely dovey with each other).
After our wedding, we got our photos and videos back in 2 months. Our wonderful team, which included Ray and Kiley for photography and George and Cassie for videographers were amazing in capturing our day. They were easy to work with and I have no complaints!
I will say, one thing that wasn’t included but my partner and I advocated for was to have a scheduled call with the team lead to review the timeline and how the day will go. As someone who planned their wedding for the first time and hosted ~100 guests, I wasn’t sure what the expectations were or how to navigate the timeline I’ve created with our wedding planner in collaboration with Amari. I’m glad my partner advocated for us to schedule a call with them and we were able to talk through what we wanted to prioritize with our timeline. Other than this, overall our experience with Amari was smooth and easy. We are happy with the result and would recommend working with them for your events!

Friends and family have even said our pictures look like they could be stock model photos—every shot feels intentional and beautiful. We initially worked with Aaron to define what we were looking to get out of our wedding video, and he really helped us to understand the process and the packages. We felt comfortable that we could get what we wanted for a price that was within our budget. We were assigned to work with Corey who took detailed notes of items we wanted to focus on, or items we wanted included/excluded. On the day of the wedding, he was prompt, friendly, and got what he needed without bothering us at all. The Amari team worked well with our photographer, and we felt the day went perfectly seamlessly. Receiving the sneak peek video soon after the wedding got us so excited about the additional products to come! We've now been able to enjoy our 30-minute feature with family and friends and each watch has been incredibly special. It enabled our family overseas to feel like they were part of our day and that meant everything to us. oth leading up to the event and on the day itself. They captured all the shots we wanted, maximizing our time outside as best as possible (it rained on our wedding day). Our lead photographer, Gene, was fun and engaging and really made us laugh, which turned into some excellent photos. We just got our photos and video back and everything is gorgeous. Amari really rolled with the punches on our rainy wedding day and captured our family portraits, etc. indoors and still made them look gorgeous. Their pricing was very reasonable for the area (California, Inland Empire), and they let us customise our package so we were only paying for what we really wanted.
Two things I will say: 1) If you are doing a shoot in California, make sure to get the photography permit well in advance (for non-wedding day photography). Our engagement shoot was around the holidays and it took longer to get the permits than expected, but we were able to pivot at the last minute to a location that did not require a permit. 2) If you are looking for more direction in how you are posed, make sure you advocate for yourself. All our photos are excellent, but I do wish that I had been more vocal about asking for tips, or having someone check to make sure my hair or dress were laying correctly.
Overall, we loved Amari and would absolutely recommend them! I hope to be able to work with them again in the future!

As someone who has worked in multimedia professionally, I'm so satisfied with how our photos, wedding video and sneak peak reel came out. It is one thing to take photos and shoot video, but it is a different art to tell a story. I think the photo & video team were so present on the wedding day, they managed to pick up the little and big details about our love story without us telling them a word, then turned all that into a beautiful compilation of photos and videos that told our story perfectly.
Of course, the forms they have you fill out in preparation for the final product helps a lot, too. But that's the other thing!! -- they do so well at making sure they have the info they need ahead of the big day, so when the big day rolls around you don't have to worry about much.
Anyways, I wish I remembered all of the 4 photographers & videographers' names who worked with us for our wedding because they were warm, friendly and ready to get the job DONE. My main photographer even drove me to the ceremony in her personal car. I hid in the backseat of her blue sedan. I'll never forget it. When they told me their shift was over at the end of the night and that they were leaving, I was bummed because I wanted them to stay for the party. Lol.

They are so efficient and help organize a lot of the group photos on wedding day and will get all the family/friends/portrait shots you want. They also help with running the schedule even though it's not in their job description - but they really do make an effort to know your schedule to help you. If you're more easygoing, they have many recommendations and will still help you get the most memorable and quality shots you will like! All the staff is incredibly friendly and in a stressful season of wedding planning - they really help ease that tension and make it so that you're not worried about the photography process at all! They returned photos quickly with so many photos that helped capture a lot of the day that us (bride and groom) didn't see, but all their photos were excellent quality and helped us relive one of the best days of our lives!

that we are very saddened and deeply sorry to hear that you had anything less than a perfect delivery experience. I only wish we had known earlier, so we could have helped right away.
As soon as we read your review, we reached out to better understand your concerns, so that we could immediately start working to make it right. I appreciate you taking the time to connect with us and share more specifics. From that conversation, we heard two main concerns:
(1) You were hoping for more couples portraits with you both looking directly at the camera.
(2) You noticed a difference in the number and variety of solo portraits of you compared to Dylan.
With it being a Sunday on a holiday weekend, it will take me a day or so to connect with the rest of the team, but I wanted to make sure I got back to you the same day with a progress note of where we’re at.
For your couples portraits, I see that while there are a lot in your gallery - most reflect our more natural, candid style. That said, I do see about 10 or so in the mix where you’re both looking directly at the camera in different settings. Knowing now that classic, posed style means a lot to you, I will have the team group those into a new section for easy viewing. I’ll also have our team pull more photos in that style to edit additional options for you two.
On the Solo Portraits, I see that Dylan currently has more photos in your gallery from the additional time he had before first look - while you were still getting into your dress. That said, it’s completely fair to want more balance. I’ll personally work with our team this week to edit and add more of your solo bridal portraits, so the final gallery reflects you both equally.
That’s everything the team and I have accomplished today, and I will continue to keep in touch as we work through these updates. We came across Amari thinking they would just be there to capture the day to remember, but not expecting anything crazy. We are so happy we made that decision. Not only were they very helpful in the planning process, but the day of they were professional, made us feel comfortable, and provided us with a great final product. Also, we were really looking to have the raw content so that was a bonus that they allowed for that too. We ended up going with the slightly more expensive option and it was worth every penny because George was awesome. He met with us before to talk about our goals, expectations, what content we would really like to see, and ran through the day of timeline so there were no surprises. If you are on the fence, get the videographer, and go with Amari.

from the initial interview through the video customization process was such smooth sailing, and it really felt like a collaborative effort. I appreciated the number of examples available to peruse, and the forms used to pin down our style and preference for the videos were clear and easy to use. In a whirlwind of wedding decisions and logistics, we never worried about Amari providing anything other than a beautiful video. I also loved how we were provided all of the raw footage/audio as well - as a bit of a control freak it was great for me to feel like I wasn’t missing a second of the records of the day! And this way, I have the full audio/video of things like first dance, processional song (played live), etc.

It is so special to watch our ceremony unfold, since you'll never remember every little detail of such a big moment in life. Amari has a couple forms to fill out before the event, so I wrote up notes about music, voice overs, cinematography, etc. Their team truly read everything I wrote, took that into account in their editing, and delivered BEYOND what I could have imagined.
We are so, so, so, so happy with it. It was AMAZING. It captured so much of us and our day, and we were filled with love and wonder watching it.

When we agreed to book a videographer, my fiancé and I had two goals: first, that we wouldn't even know they were there, and second, that everything captured would be real, natural and unscripted. Amari very clearly was aligned with us on that from the outset, and I felt confident in hiring them. I loved that they sent around a detailed questionnaire in advance, to make sure they capture everything that is important to you and to find out about any significant moments or surprises planned throughout the day. I also loved that they followed up right after the wedding to ask the same things, in case your answers had changed.
They were super easy to work with from beginning to end. I added on a feature to our package after the wedding, and that was a cinch. I gave some feedback about one of the videos, and they were very receptive to changing it. And during the wedding day itself, both Shaunie and Lauren were great to work with.
It was so fun to receive the highlight film and ceremony edit, but also just to look back through the raw footage and see the little moments we missed throughout the day. I highly recommend hiring Amari! They are top notch.

When I first started looking for videographers to capture our special day, Amari stood out with their mission statement, multiple amazing reviews, and large collection of diverse videos. When I had the phone consultation, I was even more intrigued by the idea that we could play a part in the edits for our film. As our special day approached, I was so nervous that I would notice the cameras around us, but that was far from the truth. the very beginning of the pandemic when everything was so uncertain (and when we all thought, "Oh yeah, it'll go back to normal in the late summer, right?"). Needless to say, Amari was professional and flexible. And even in my moments of "frantic bride-ism," Aaron and Britt helped us figure things out.
A little about the team that we worked with: Aaron was welcoming and spent a lot of time with me on the phone when I first called to inquire. As you all know, the wedding industry is intimidating, and Aaron made us feel comfortable and listened to. After we signed, Britt came on and was involved in all the emails and planning throughout the year. What can I say, she is so positive, cheerful, fun, and personable! Our shooters were Magdalena and David, both so friendly, sweet, and professional! Everyone we had contact with on the Amari team are the type of people you'd be friends with. Down to earth.
Our original 120 guest wedding at our dream venue in La Jolla ended up being a 22 person intimate ceremony and dinner. one thing we knew for sure was that we didn't want to postpone the videography for a postponed party, but wanted to capture the day we got married. They captured everything, ninja style! All videographers did a phenomenal job and they were a pleasure to be around.
