From our first time we toured Amaterra and spoke with our venue coordinator Katie, we knew how much effort they were willing to put in to make our wedding the special day that it was. She was responsive and thoughtful throughout the entire planning process, making sure every detail was handled so we could just enjoy getting ready to marry. The whole team, front of house and back, treated us and our guests like family, making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. The venue itself is stunning, with an elegant setting that made everything feel exquisite without us having to do much at all. What really set Amaterra apart was how much they cared about our experience at every step, not just on wedding day. They made us feel like a member of the Amaterra community and the best part is it’s a place we can return to for dinners, wine tastings, and other incredible events for years to come. We can't recommend them highly enough.
Hands down the BEST - for anything from a dinner out to an extravagant event. We hosted our wedding here and it was absolutely incredible. Even with rain on our wedding day, everything was stunning and executed flawlessly. The team handled every detail so seamlessly that we never once felt stressed, it was clear they had everything under control. They are elite pros. Shout out to Katie for being there every single step of the way for the year it took to plan!
And the food was, without exaggeration, the best I've ever had at a wedding. And not just a wedding, in general, the food at Amaterra is some of the best you will have. Period.
It's been two weeks since our wedding, and we're still getting texts and photos from friends and family saying it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to.
If you're considering Amaterra, I can't recommend it enough. Rain or shine, they know exactly what they're doing and how to create an unforgettable wedding.

Amaterra Winery in Portland, OR, serves as a beautiful, modern wedding venue for celebrating couples. There, you and your loved ones can enjoy sweeping views, exceptional wines, and impeccable food and service for a celebration you’ll never forget.
Located minutes from downtown Portland, Amaterra Winery offers a serene escape while still having access to the city’s amenities. Nestled in the slopes of Portland’s West Hills, this stunning establishment offers unparalleled views of the vineyard and Willamette Valley. Ceremonies of up to 200 can be held inside the Skyline Ballroom or out on the Terrace Lawn. Outside, the sprawling Terrace Lawn offers spectacular views, while a 30-foot natural rock waterfall cascades into two reflecting pools, creating a picturesque setting to say “I do.” Receptions can be held outside under the stars or inside the ballroom, where you and 175 guests can dine and dance the night away. This inspired space features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the room with natural light, while the outdoor spaces and fireplaces capture the essence of the Pacific Northwest. More intimate gatherings can be held inside The Gallery or The Barrel Room, which can accommodate up to 16 or 30 guests, respectively. Couples can also use the Barrel Room as a get-ready space to relax and enjoy being pampered before the day ahead.
At Amaterra Winery, the team has included a host of thoughtful amenities in its wedding packages, like exclusive use of the event spaces for up to seven hours on the big day. Setup and breakdown of Amaterra event items are also included, as are tables, chairs, lounge furniture, linens, napkins, plates, cutlery, and drinkware. Cake cutting and a one-hour rehearsal are also included for your convenience, as are professional waitstaff and bartenders. You and your guests can dine on a delicious menu from the in-house catering team, which showcases the rich offerings from the Pacific Northwest. Bar services can also be arranged, including a custom selection of award-winning Amaterra wines as well as a selection of beer and cocktails. From its idyllic setting to its impeccable food, wine, and service, this PNW wedding venue has much to offer celebrating couples.

Coming from a lengthy line of detail-oriented and organized women, properly entertaining guests runs through her veins. She began working in the event industry in 2013 when she joined the Pearl Catering team as a Sales & Event Coordinator. Now having worked in Oregon’s wine country for many years, including at Domaine de Broglie, Katie has learned to love Dundee Hills Pinot Noir almost as much as she loves weddings. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, gardening, the sunsets at Amaterra, and watching bad TV with her husband Zac and their dogs Wallaby, Waffles, and Watson.
