e not misled. After reading this review, we find it disconcerting with claims that are just not true and misleading. We’ll address each of your comments. Allow me to begin with the email we received after you viewed your sneak peek photos. You stated the following: “We received our sneak peek, and the pictures look absolutely beautiful!”. That same day, we had a gallery of pictures ready so that you could download any photo as a full-resolution image. You found the process and response to be “amazing,” and you thanked us. After that, we presented you with nearly 1200 photographs of your wedding, which amounted to over 150 photos captured per hour. We photographed every special moment, which included your family and guests. Each photograph delivered was unique, creative, and beautiful. They conveyed the emotion we wanted to preserve for you. Ambar and I frequently photograph weddings at the same venue, so we are familiar and comfortable with the location and their excellent staff. On the day of your wedding and throughout the entire process, we have been professional, organized, and efficient. We started with a questionnaire emailed three months before your wedding. Then, we scheduled a day to review your responses and timeline. We also followed up with another phone call closer to the wedding day. You never addressed or forwarded a photo list for us to have on your wedding day. It’s customary for us to ask couples if they would like to provide a photo list that goes above and beyond the formal pictures we capture. Perhaps you may have wanted to forward us a list. After the wedding, we thoroughly reviewed every correspondence we had between us leading up to the day of your wedding, and we never found a list attached to an email. Your sister had a copy of the list, and she kindly helped us call out individual families and guests for group photos. We photographed every group promptly, allowing you time to enjoy the cocktail hour. Concerning your statement, we did capture several pictures of every group to select the best photograph among them. In a few instances, we even blended multiple images to address closed eyes, bad facial expressions, and people who happened to turn away. Couples may ask us to retouch a particular photo on occasion; you never did, so we can only assume you were pleased with the images. We will address your comments regarding our son since you mentioned him in your review. He was our paid assistant for the day. We never charged you for his services. He allowed us to be flexible and efficient, which both of you appreciated. An assistant’s job is to acquire equipment and facilitate our process. He is not a photographer, nor does he possess the experience or understanding of photography or know where to place off camera lights. So your interpretation of his work is misleading. He was solely there to assist. We directed him as needed. Placement of lighting equipment is a creative process. That makes our photography unique and beautiful. Setting up off camera lighting equipment is a quick process, so we don’t understand the basis of your complaint. The entire process during the formal photos then later in the evening was entirely a swift and straightforward process, which allowed both of you to enjoy your wedding and spend time with your family and guests. Our phones are a means of communication for us on a wedding day. Therefore, we do not waste our time on them. However, there are instances when we’ll capture a picture with our phone during the wedding, and couples are always thrilled to have a photo shared on social media. Usually, couples have a hashtag assigned to their wedding. That is why Ambar asked if you had a specific hashtag set for your wedding. Then, of course, we asked for your permission to post the photo. Based on the number of photographs we captured, it's evident that Ambar didn’t spend an unsurmountable amount of time on her phone, as you suggest. With 16 years of experience, knowing when and where to capture a beautiful image comes naturally. Isn’t that why you selected our studio? As you suggest, we doubt any random person with a camera would have been better. There are times when couples need some direction. However, there are numerous times when a couple will be emotive, and there is no need for the photographer to interrupt the moment. A candid photo will always supersede a posed photograph. It is how we approach wedding photography. Couples usually prefer to have beautiful and genuine-looking images of themselves instead of posed photos that look “fake” and lack any sense of emotion. We simply capture the best moments which we did on your wedding day. We explained the process and methods during our previous conversations and at the beginning of your wedding day. Finally, we did not provide you with multiple photos with the “exact same pose.” Every picture has a different expression or perspective. We asked if you wanted other photos taken to supplement the ones we had already captured throughout the day. You were both delighted with what we had already captured and found no need to have additional photos taken. We do our best to be thorough and proactive. We graciously photograph family members and guests who happen to ask to be photographed individually or within a group setting. We believe that it’s our job to capture as many photographs as possible and ensure the client and guests have a pleasant experience. When we presented you with the sneak peek, we reminded you that delivery of your photos would most likely occur within four months after the wedding. During a typical year, we would have delivered your photos much sooner. At first, you never objected to the timeline that you found reasonable and acceptable? Couples are aware that we retouch the images at the studio. We never outsource that task. It’s a meticulous process that we find to be worthy. It’s a way to guarantee the quality of our work while keeping our prices reasonable and affordable. In the same email, we explained the time constraints we were under due to Covid-19 and how it affected our scheduled weddings in 2020. We rescheduled most of those weddings to the following year, alongside the ones we had booked for 2021. We had to turn away a fair number of couples to maintain the level of service our clients deserved. Couples understood the challenges we were facing, and they graciously afforded us additional time to complete their photos. Through hard work and long hours, we managed to deliver all the images we captured in 2021. If you recall, we shipped your photos two days after the four-month time frame, which you later found to be unacceptable. You received a variety of pictures that are emotive and beautiful. Among the images you received, we delivered a variety of photographs with your bridal party. So the adjectives you used to describe our work are simply nonsense. You implied that past couples were not honest with their reviews. Couples who posted their honest and unsolicited reviews were thrilled with their photos and experience. Not to mention the additional number of personal emails that we receive complimenting us on our work and their personal experience. So again, we are sorry that your perspective and opinion of our services changed for unbeknownst reasons. We wish you all the best and a beautiful life together.
