When I tell you that they are a dream venue, I am not kidding!! We had a small wedding (32 people) including the DJ, videographer, and photographer, and wanted a rooftop wedding and it took us forever to find what we wanted. This place was PERFECT, not to mention some of the greatest staff I could imagine. Katie, our coordinator for the Ambassador is so communicative and nice, she ensured our day was perfect. We held our ceremony outside and the staff flipped the rooftop terrace to a kings style table. So we got to enjoy the AMAZING food outside overlooking downtown Chicago. The food is incredible, it was so hard to choose off their menu. We had a great open bar and additional room for happy hour that has beautiful views. It was affordable and just an amazing experience. If you are wanting a micro wedding with a beautiful view and amazing venue staff, go look here!! Inside the hotel it’s very vintage and classy, our photos looked incredible. The rooms are big enough to get ready in too!! The location is perfect, you can see the water and some of the biggest buildings in Chicago.

We hosted an intimate (38 guests) wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at The Ambassador on October 5, 2019, and it was truly spectacular. We booked the hotel in late 2017, and at that time, the event planning, food, and beverage services were handled through Lettuce Entertain You Events (LEYE)/Booth One. In June of 2019, we were told that LEYE ended its contract with The Ambassador, and that events would be taken "in house" by the company that owns the hotel. We were a little nervous at first, and there were a few transition pains while everyone sorted out the details, but it turns out we had no reason to worry. Elvira, Maya, and The Ambassador team know how to plan an amazing event. Our ceremony was supposed to be on the 17th floor Astor terrace, which has some of the best views in Chicago, but the rain forced us inside. That being said, we were in a corner room on the 17th floor (Scott) with huge windows overlooking the city, so the views were still there. Cocktail hour was located in the same spaces, with dinner taking place in The Library on the first floor. If you're looking for a unique dinner atmosphere, definitely check out The Library. It's just so cool. And The Ambassador team did a fantastic job working with our vendors to transform the space and bring our vision to life. It went above and beyond our expectations. The same can be said with the food. We had passed appetizers and a family style dinner, and all were delicious. Several guests told us that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. I also need to mention the staff and bartenders, who were amazing. If we needed anything, we had it immediately, and everyone was incredibly attentive to us and our guests. And so nice. I really can't say enough about how pleased we were with the experience. We would absolutely recommend The Ambassador for an intimate, unique wedding venue that is sure to impress.
