Honestly where do I begin. My husband and I LOVE our wedding photos. Amber, Nancy, Shannon and Carly were the absolutely wedding photography dream team. Amber is just amazing and has a great eye. The moment my husband and I saw her and Shannon's work we were blown away and knew we needed to have one of them capture our special day. First off, Nancy was super responsive and really took the time to help make sure everything was all set and ready to go - answering questions in record time (we live in London with a 5 hour time difference so this was pretty spectacular!). Well I honestly don't know where to start, Shannon and Carly captured our day perfectly - getting every shot we could have dreamed of - not to mention they made me look great so there's that :) Honestly, we didn't want the posed only shots, we really wanted someone to capture the heartbeat of the day, the non-posed smiles, the laughs, the happiness, the sadness (only the flower girl went and stubbed her toe and we have a hilarious picture of her crying - we are horrible, we know!), and the beautiful, intimate moments between me, my husband, our family and friends. Honestly when we looked at them, we cried a little because we literally re lived the day by looking through them and were just blown away with how they were able to capture it all. You definitely get what you pay for with Amber Gress Photography and whilst it might be more expensive then your run of the mill everyday photographer, this was the one area we knew we wanted to spend to get exactly what we want. And exactly what we want, is what we got.

This review is long overdue. Amber was our photographer for both our engagement photos and our July 2017 wedding. I first discovered her through Instagram, then saw she was a preferred vendor through my venue (501 Union). Leading up to our wedding, she was responsive, accessible and patient. When we did our engagement shots with her, she made us feel comfortable and at ease. I also appreciated that as we debated where to take pictures and how to schedule our first look, Amber gave great input and knew when and how to tell us (in the nicest way!) that something was not possible (e.g. going to the far side of Prospect Park to take pictures in the woods in an extremely fragile dress with only an hour....not possible). We had no idea what we were doing and appreciated an expert giving us her suggestions. On the day of, I still hadn't fully made up my mind about where I wanted to take pictures. We were dealing with rain and a short time window, and I was feeling stressed that I wouldn't get all the pictures I wanted. Amber came and got. it. done. She got me the dream first look pictures I wanted when I didn't think it would be possible. She kept us on schedule and was so skilled in rallying our bridal party and families for all the shots we wanted. When we ended up running a little bit past the time that we had hired her for, she didn't even hesitate to offer to stay an extra 30 minutes to capture the speeches and first dances. A mere couple of weeks after our wedding, Amber sent us the photos and they were STUNNING. I have shared with all our friends and family and they cannot stop marveling at how insanely good the photos are, and how they captured the best moments and emotions in a natural way.
