I was so lucky that she was not booked the day of my wedding because we only gave ourselves nine months of planning time before the big day. Right when we walked into her studio we knew that she was going to be our photographer. Everyone I talk to says that they regret not having a better photographer at their wedding because the pictures are all they have left of the day, but I know my husband and I will never feel that way. All of our images are stunning! There is a specific shot of me looking into the horizon with my dress blowing up in the air that so many people, even people I don't know personally, have commented about, and she made me feel like a superhero. She captured all our best moments and there isn't one single picture that I'm not impressed with. Also, a little backstory, my father died five years ago and it destroyed a huge part of me. Luckily he was a singer and had made a few music videos, one of which was played as the "daddy daughter" song while my brother and I danced to it. She managed to capture several shots with my brother and I dancing with my father's face in the video looking down on us. It brought both my brother and I to tears! It's like he was truly there with us. She was completely professional and tried her best to capture very original poses, even one where she had a shot of us in the passenger side mirror of a classic car! Our photography time was cut short a bit by a party bus mishap that lost us about an hour and a half of time, but even still Amber gave us so many pictures it doesn't even feel like any of that time was lost. She captured pictures of my husbands family, all him and eight of his siblings with their children, and the pictures look amazing. She is truly a master at her craft and makes you feel beautiful and/or handsome and captures so many great memories. She also took control of the wedding so that I wasn't running around during the ceremony trying to get people where they needed to go and everything went smoothly. If I had to do it over again, having her take our wedding photos would not be something I would change. I am sure I will use her again in the future for other photo shoots!

Even though this is a review for Amber Henry Photography, I think it would be very helpful for anyone planning a wedding to know that Amber works closely with Jeff Carpenter from Design Haven Studios and Chuck Spencer from Active Entertainment. You couldn’t go wrong by hiring any of them independently, but if you hire them together, it will be one of the best decisions you will make. Jeff is an amazing, creative videographer and Chuck is an awesome, entertaining DJ. The three businesses are located in the same building and Amber, Jeff and Chuck love working with each other; and it shows. They know each other’s requirements and help each other rather than get in each other’s way. We were fortunate enough to hire each of them (book early) and it was truly a blessing for us. They were always upbeat and smiling and made us feel like we were family. We knew that they wanted everything to be perfect and it was a huge comfort to be able to put our trust in them. It was a real pleasure having them spend the day with us. My wife referred to them as the “dream team of weddings” in her reviews; a very fitting label.

apher was not something I wanted to skimp on! These are images that we will treasure forever and show our kids and grandkids one day. I've heard so many horror stories from people who found a photographer on a site like Craig's list and ended up with terrible service and even worse terrible pictures. From the beginning Amber had a plan down for the day and how it would go! She was prompt about getting back on any questions I had, which I really appreciated. She was also excited and excited us about the images we would capture that day! I felt very confident in her skills an ability to savor every moment of our special day. We have seen two sneak peeks of our images so far and can't wait to see the rest ☺️ We even had a surprise shot at the end of the night that Amber worked with our hotel and DJ to arrange. Couldn't be happier with our choice and would definitely recommend Amber to future brides!

and have picked out the grandest place to be married in but if I couldn’t have the moments properly captured, what would be the point? Over the last few years through friends getting married and through being the girl who was secretly planning her wedding before even having a ring, Amber’s photography has popped up. Every time I saw her pictures I found myself stalking her page again and again going through pictures even if I had already seen them. She has a way of capturing moments that many others don’t. Her pictures are breath taking. In a day in age when everyone has a camera phone and everyone wants to start a photography business it is easy to go with what saves you money but I am a strong believer you get what you pay for. As soon as my maid of honor and I met with Amber and heard all her ideas and saw how open she was to what I was looking for I knew working with her would be just as great as getting the finished product and well worth the money. We are not getting married until May but we booked her for our engagement session in order to get familiar with her and it was the best decision ever. From the first shot to the last she never stopped making us feel comfortable and bringing out the best in us and our relationship. When you get engaged you want the world to know how you feel and Amber was able to show that in our pictures and we couldn’t be more ecstatic about the finish products. Her team is beyond amazing and so personable that we felt like it was a typical day hanging out with friends. She has kept open communication since the first meeting and no question was ever too small or not important enough for her. We cannot wait to share our wedding day with her and her team. There was no pressure to sign and we decided to do an engagement session as a trial run. The engagement session exceeded expectations and was very memorable. The photographers identified some excellent areas and showed a strong degree of knowledge and understanding. We were impressed by the results and booked her immediately following. Again, no pressure or upsell. Between the time of signing and the wedding, Amber created a timeline and was very honest about giving us realistic expectations on the wedding day events. This was very helpful for us to make sure we planned properly. She explained what events/shots were necessary. Amber was very accommodating at the wedding and made sure we had the shots we were looking for. We don't regret our decision. Just some thoughts if you are considering Amber Henry Photography: 1) Give Amber freedom to do what she needs to do. 2) Be patient; quality takes time. 3) Don't be afraid to ask her for advice. 4) Amber and her team are fun and energetic. By wedding day, you'll feel like friends while still knowing you are getting better than what your other friends can do. Photos are one of the most important investments for your wedding day and you get what you pay for. It is the little details that differentiate a good photographer from a great photographer.

Not only do they take beautiful photographs Amber and her assistants are very personable, funny and made me feel comfortable and good about myself. I was extremely happy I picked the best package... the more time the better. You don't want to miss the moment and now I am a client for life! I can't wait for my husband and I to create little ones and have Amber capture those moments as well. I will always recommend her. And one word of advice...do NOT skimp out on your photographer.
