Lack of professionalism and unreliable. My sister (the bride) liked the makeup Amber did for her engagement photos so she signed a contract for bridal makeup for her June 2020 wedding. Out of the blue, Amber emailed my sister to tell her their ...
contract was no longer valid and that if my sister wanted to sign a new contract to keep her services, she would need to add an additional 5 makeup applications (6-person minimum). After my sister expressed that she was unhappy with how this was handled, Amber said that she would honor the original contract but she would only be available to do her makeup at 7:00am (what?!) on the day of the wedding, since she would be booking a bridal party after. It is hard not to feel like Amber already found a more lucrative party for the same date and wanted to get rid of her obligation to my sister. Further, while she did provide recommendations to other makeup artists, Amber offered no apology for the inconvenience of reneging on her original contract.

was incomplete, and that I would need an updated contract to move forward. She listed only herself for makeup and “maybe” for hair. She also was unsure of what time she needed to be ready by, and no where on the contract did it indicate that her ceremony was at 4:30. I told her I would honor the 2019 pricing, make an exception for the minimum amount and come onsite at a time which was convenient for her. I have apologized both over the phone and email, and I have referred her to 6 other makeup artists that could also accommodate her should she choose to go in a different direction. I wish nothing but the best for your sister on her big day, and a happy future with her husband. Warmest regards to you both.

I had a very dear friend Brittany whom I referred all hair inquiries to. Since your had not originally expressed interest in makeup for your wedding (my specialty) I booked another bride for that day. I made you aware of my scheduling conflict after the fact you expressed interest in makeup for your wedding and your timeline for your day. I then responded with a solution, in which you deemed unfit. I apologize that I was unable to be part of your wedding, but I am so thrilled that Hannah was able to take such great care of you! My makeup was just as I had imagined - classic, flawless, and photo-ready.
Since I didn't have experience with Brittany, we did do a hair trial. I am pretty sure I spent well over 2 hours with Brittany and we tried at least 3 different styles. She worked with my accessories and helped point me in the right direction for extensions to fill out my up-do.
Day-of, they were done well in advance of when I needed to leave for the venue, and they were understanding when I had some changes in who had their hair/makeup done. They also gave good timelines so there was minimal delay or wait from one of us to the next.
I can't recommend the GlamSquad enough.
