We hired Ambrosia in March 2020 and paid a deposit for event services for a July 2021 wedding and have been totally ghosted by them. We have left numerous voicemail messages and se...
nt emails and texts and have receive no response. Completely unprofessional. When we did manage to speak to the owner (Allen), he told us they have filed for bankruptcy and promised to follow up with us a week later. We have heard nothing and have not been able to contact anyone since that time. Also, when we call, the receptionist provides the name of another company (Proper Marketing) when she answers. There is nothing proper about the manner in which this company conducts business.

a divorce party in Long Beach Ca. The event looked more like a prostitute convention over appetizers. Allen Newsum is the owner of this illegitimate corporation. During the event his staff failed to serve the food as directed. Instead his staff ate the appetizers, mingled with guest as if they were part of the party, Many if not all of his female staff members also took part in illicit behavior by smoking marijuana and having sex with guest in the upstairs bathroom. (I believe this was encouraged by Mr. Newsum) While all this was going on Mr. Newsum remained on his phone chatting up potential new business and helping himself to additional food entrees.

photographed our day was amazing! They got every angle we wanted, my first looks photos are my favorite! Since our wedding was during the day, he made sure to capture pictures of my husband and i at sunset! Our day coordinator, Becka was an absolute blessing! She made sure everything was how i wanted, she even took the time out her day before my wedding to meet me at the venue! (She didn’t have to do that)! My Florist, Amanda made my flowers beautiful. Our DJ, was amazing, he played all the songs i wanted, had the guests laughing and even stayed a little longer then what he was supposed to because we were having such a great time dancing! Our videoaugrapher was good, but we are just waiting of our final cut of our video! All in all our day was perfect, with the perfect staff!! I would absolutely recommend Ambrosia for any one of my friends!!
They day of my event (12/7/18) Walter and Andrew (the photographer and cinematographer Allen sent) were an HOUR LATE and left an hour early. Walter (the photographer) was HIGH on V...
ICODIN, was tripping all over himself, fell twice, and managed to capture himself and Andrew in 90% of my pictures. Not to mention my pictures were blurry, out of focus, poor lighting, and the list goes on. Walter had no idea what was going on and he admitted to me that he was on Vicodin, in pain, and his back had gone out earlier that day. After my event, I reached out to Allen, heartbroken and crying, pleading for an explanation and help with the photos I was given as a "final product". Allen stated he knew the state Walter was in at least TWO HOURS before my wedding but hoped Walter could pull it off. WTF?!? Allen had at least 2 hours to find a suitable replacement (subcontract out to a sober person or someone else on his staff) but instead chose not to tell me what was happening and did nothing. Allen robed me of my ability to make an important decision about my special day and instead did nothing. Now, Allen isn't responsive to me, ignores my requests and emails to find a solution or for an update to see if they can salvage any pictures. Allen and Walter completely ruined any opportunity for me to have pictures of my special day. I first reached out to Allen in August of 2018 so he could photograph and get video my wedding on 12/7/18. I was promised (via what they advertise on the website and the contract we signed) and paid for professional photography and cinematography. Beyond Walter not being sober he didn't know what he was doing. Allen failed me and is now ignoring me and wont work with me to make it right.

He was able to knock so many items off my list for services it made the rest of the planning a breeze. We went in looking for an estimate on a Photographer with a budget in mind and left with a packaged deal. Not only did we get a Photographer, we also booked our DJ, Photobooth and Day Coordinator (which is the BEST investment for any bride planning their own wedding and doesn't want to die the day of). The quote was a GREAT DEAL and the entire process was easy as well as the day of. I don't think I could have had a smoother wedding if it wasn't for his team. We purchased the Gold Package which included all of our images on a DVD, a slide show to preview our pictures, 2 mini photo books for our parents, and a 10 by 10 photo book for ourselves. Excellent deal for the quality of photos we received!
From beginning to end, Allen provides a very thorough photography experience. He handles photography with much respect and professionalism. Allen was able to masterfully photograph our wedding. We really appreciated his ability to make it a memorable personal experience. He has a talent for capturing special moments. Allen's photography and overall workmanship is quite up-to-date. In particular, what we really enjoyed was his modern practices that he was utilizing. Not only is he on-point with his photography skills, but he is more than capable of combining a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere through it all. The balance was conveyed throughout the photos we ended up with.
Overall, we were really happy with the results! (Trust me, I'm a pretty picky about pictures, too.) We ended up with over 1500 images for our 12 hour day! The reception ran a little late and he even stayed longer to capture our memories until the very end.
I would recommend Allen and his team to any couple who is about to get married!
