Cactus Collective Weddings in Las Vegas, and as we are Canadians, we asked for their recommendations to find someone for makeup and hair. Their preferred vendor was Amelia and co. and I am so happy that they were suggested to us! Our artist was named Lucy, and she was a gorgeous and fiery red-head who was so kind and lovely, and she helped this adhd bride figure out on the day, what exactly the look should/could/would be. She took all my many ideas and suggestions, used her expertise and pulled everything off without a hitch. My makeup had probably never looked better than that before and she gave me the modern/1960’s hair look of my dreams! Thank you Amelia and co. for helping make our special day, everything and more! Communication throughout the planning process was great, and they were always quick to respond whenever I needed to make changes. We adjusted our timeline, added services, and they even accommodated my aunt when she decided at the last minute that she wanted her hair and makeup done. The only minor hiccups were some confusion about my trial appointment time and not realizing there would be a third artist on the wedding day, so the additional parking fee caught me by surprise. Those were very small issues and didn't take away from the overall experience.
My wedding-day look was exactly what I had envisioned. It was actually quite different from my trial, and Natalia listened to everything I wanted and absolutely nailed it. I felt beautiful while still looking like myself, which was exactly what I had hoped for.
The entire bridal party looked stunning, and we received compliments all day long. Even some of the husbands commented on how beautiful everyone's hair and makeup looked! Best of all, everything lasted perfectly through the entire wedding and still looked great the next day.
I would absolutely recommend Amelia and Co. Katie, Natalia, and Aimee were professional, incredibly talented, and such a pleasure to spend the morning with. They truly helped make our wedding day even more special.

Then I found Amelia and Co. — and immediately felt like I was in good hands.
Their website is super thorough and made me feel confident they knew exactly what they were doing. As soon as I inquired, that feeling was confirmed. Their team is incredibly responsive and informative, providing helpful details every step of the way.
Planning an elopement — even a small one — can still feel overwhelming. It was such a relief having them communicate clearly and guide me on how to prepare so everything would go smoothly.
One of the best parts? They came right to my hotel — I didn’t have to go anywhere.
Marai was absolutely fantastic. I’ll admit, I’m not the most specific person when it comes to hair and makeup — I don’t always know how to describe what I want. But she completely understood my vision from just a few inspiration photos and minimal input.
She made the entire getting-ready experience so fun and relaxing. We listened to music, chatted, and she even let me just close my eyes and chill when I needed a quiet moment.

From the beginning, this company’s communication was outstanding. They were responsive, clear, and so reassuring from booking all the way to the big day. eup preview two weeks before to the wedding day itself, Alexis was fun, calm, professional, and so easy to work with. She really listened to my vision and brought it to life perfectly — I felt stunning and so confident all day. My makeup lasted through the evening into the after party.
The entire experience was fun, relaxed, and flawless. Alexis even gave me makeup tips to use in the real world - thank you Alexis! Edith did my hair and it was Gorgeous- an exact duplicate of the info photo I showed her but better. Edith was attentive and was so great at putting in my extensions . brides after their wedding (we exchanged texts on 11/8/24) no mention was made of your unhappiness. I would have loved an opportunity to set things right then. You did mention in your text you had an amazing experience and would get back to me with feedback over text or email, but we didn't hear from you after that.
Of course, I spoke with stylist and artist to ask if something went wrong, and their response was that they weren't aware of any issues. They both stated that you were quite particular, but at the end of your services were quoted saying it was "the best hair and makeup you ever got". They also said you were very nice.
There also seems to be some confusion around "being late" - when the bride is the only one receiving services, the artists stagger themselves so one arrives before the other so that they aren't working on top of each other and crowding the bride. Your artist was not late, she simply arrived after your stylist so they could space apart services for a more comfortable experience. This is our standard which is why bride-only appointments are still two hours long even with two artists assigned. We do not rush our clients.
I've texted you your photos they took but I will post them here as well so fellow brides have a good reference as to the look you are referring to. We want everyone to feel stunning and beautiful on their wedding day and take reviews like this seriously. Every bride has her own version of what "beautiful" means, and a visual aid helps to make sure her version aligns with ours so this doesn't happen again. Our artists would have loved to help you feel stunning on your wedding day and they left thinking you did. Had they been told otherwise, they would have stayed to work towards your desired look. We are all sorry to hear that's not the case.

nd immediately had a great feeling. Luckily they were able to get me and my wedding party in for a trial as well as wedding day hair and makeup. The coordinating services were incredibly easy and the point of contact genuinely cared.
First, I was a NERVOUS bride. I don't wear a lot of eye makeup, and I am very particular about my hair. The vibe they gave was SO calming, even amongst the chaos around us. My mom made my wedding dress and had to finish on the trip (we came from WA State). She forgot her scissors, needle, and thread and we were PANICKING. Alexis and Courtney had ALL 3!!! Literally saved us from attempting to find all of these items working against the clock to finish.
Aside from that, trial hair and makeup was beautiful!! For the wedding day I had just a couple of requests to make it more of an evening look. More than that, they MADE me feel beautiful. They were kind, and allowed me to ask questions for future makeup tips.
After my trial, the day before, my bridesmaids - who last minute decided they did not want hair and makeup done - LOVED my look and each of them wanted to add both hair and makeup for the day of my wedding. My mom and mother in law - one had pre-selected just hair, the other pre-selected just makeup - both decided to add the additional services as well. Luckily they were able to come just a little early and squeeze everyone in! They worked so quickly and efficiently and were the epitome of kindness.
The finished product looked AMAZING for photos, and they both did such an amazing job of elevating my look while staying true to my natural beauty. It did not feel overdone and everything stayed in place the whole day; even in Vegas heat during August.
I cannot recommend this company and those ladies enough. 5 STARS without a doubt!!!
