I was planning my wedding from out of state and working with Amer made my life Sooo much easier. From the start Amer was confident and clearly an expert in his field. He was very familiar with the vendors and venue I had selected, which made things run even smoother. Since he was familiar with our venue, he made appropriate suggestions based on the inspiration I was looking for. He also suggest options to keep costs down and did not try to up-sell me. He was realistic and helped us decide what we could and could not repurpose. Because I was not local, so he made me very comfortable with understanding the way businesses work in chicago it was amazing being able to count on Amer to set up, and cut down anything we need not need . I loved not having to worry about a thing Overall, everything turned out More than I can Imagine Every thing was on time and the room looked amazing. Our venue told us it was the best that room had ever looked, If you are looking for a full event service, I highly recommend Amer It is worth every penny paid and they beyond exceeded all of my expectations thank you so much Amer for every thing you did your hard work is greatly appreciated Amna:(

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. Amer Design Studio did the decor for my henna day and the wedding day. Working with Amer was a horrible experience. He does not listen to what you want, rather he tells you what he thinks will look good (his suggestions are always his easiest way out). He is extremely overpriced. I visited many decorators, and by far he was the highest priced. At the end, to reach somewhat around our budget, he cut over half of the decorations that I had asked for. The isle was the biggest desire of mine in my wedding decorations and at first he said he'll be able to do it but then after we signed the contract, he said that it didn't make sense, etc. I dealt with all of his unprofessionalism because I genuinely liked his work. The very first contract he sent me over was completely someone else's contract with practically the same decorations listed (going to show that all of his work is repetitive, never anything unique). The contract had a fraction of the cost on the same decor we discussed. When I asked him to resend the contract with the mistakes fixed, he fixed some but then added other mistakes like the parent's names which were incorrect. Overall, I believe he sent me the contract about 5 times and at the end, it still had mistakes but I gave up and just signed the incorrect contract. Come the days of the henna and the wedding - he truly let us down. On the henna day, the stage was crooked. The food canopies were not placed in their correct spots and the center pieces were just thrown onto the tables with no regard. We asked him to fix the stage and the canopies which he spent a few minutes attempting to fix and then he left saying it was not his job to fix things (things being the decor!!). On the wedding day, he did much of the same. He refused to lite the candles that were in the backdrop setup because he said that was not his job, that it was the venues job to lite the candles. However, the venue said that it's not their job because they cannot take a risk with lighting candles that are near/on the decorations (cloth). On the wedding day, Amer did add in fresh flower arrangements on top of what we had discussed. When we complained to him about the day before and some of the things we were unhappy with on the day of the wedding, he insulted us and said that "people never notice all that we do and all the things we give for free to them" and left. Yes, the stages in the pictures look nice, but I would not recommend him to anyone. He is the most unprofessional, rude, and expensive vendor I dealt with in the whole wedding process. Unless you have no budget, or all the money to spend in the world, don't go with him. He acted as if he was working for us for free and doing us a huge favor. The biggest mistake we made in this process after picking him as our decorator, was paying him the entire amount in advance. No matter what, do not pay him the entire amount in advance because then you will experience what my family and I went through.

Absolutely amazing! They did the staging for my Mehndi and everything was done very smoothly and was done above expectations (which is hard, I’m very particular)! They used exactly the perfect shades/colors I asked for and everything matched perfectly! Everyone was in awe and loved how well done the stage was. My only regret was getting Amer Designs for just my Mehndi instead of Mehndi and shaadi. Highly recommend to any bride/groom that wants some stress taken off their backs and don’t want to worry about decor. Will definitely be returning iA for my little brother’s wedding in the future.

A wedding is something you fantasize about as a young child. You dream about the impossible and hope for some kind of miracle. Amer has turned that dream into a reality by going above and beyond to make my fairytale wedding come true. I used Amer for all 3 of my events (Mendhi, Shaadi, and Valima) and with just a few conversations he was able to create something I did not even think was possible. No matter what your budget is, he will work with you to give you the grand and elegant look you are looking for. He has a unique way with colors and fabric design that will leave everyone in awe. His work left our family and guests speechless each day. From the beautiful flower arrangements, to unique center pieces, to your very own custom magic carpet ride (Yes, he build a customized magic carpet from Disney's Aladdin for me to use during my entrance). He is full of great energy, super accommodating, and easy to work with. He will go out of his way to make your vision seen! You will never regret using him for any event you host, he is truly the best!

I looked at several decorators for my wedding, but I couldn't stop thinking about Amer's designs. I first saw them at a wedding I attended last year and I was blown away. So I used him for my mendi, shaadi, and walima and he did not disappoint. He even impressed my mom, who is skeptical of vendors and extremely picky. His floral arrangements are full and beautiful. He uses the richest fabrics, which make your wedding look luxurious. Most importantly, Amer has a great eye for colors and doesn't make anything look gaudy or tacky. Some desi weddings are over the top in a bad way. Amer makes everything grand but uses color schemes that are flattering and not too loud. If you want a rich, gorgeous, high end wedding, Amer is your guy. One of banquet halls was running 2 hours late on my walima event and Amer still managed to execute everything perfectly. That's super impressive. I scanned my banquet halls beforehand, looking for any mistakes or mishaps with the decor. My mom and I couldn't find anything to complain about. It was simply perfect. I read another review on here that he refused centerpieces. Amer let us take all of our floral centerpieces home. By the end of my wedding, I probably had 100-150 floral centerpieces at my and my husband’s parent’s houses. There is no one better in the Midwestern area do your wedding decor. If you can swing it financially, you have to book him. He is worth every penny! Just hire him!

Amer has done an amazing job for our function. Apart from me and my husband many guests loved the decor. The color combinations were excellent and he has not charged anything for the changes that he had done. Overall it was beyond my expectations.

Amer did a beautiful job. He went above and beyond to bring my vision to reality. It was exactly what I wanted and much more. I still have guests texting me and asking me who was in charge of my decor! He played a big role in my fairytale wedding.

He did an AMAZING job! Threw in a lot of extras for free with the package. If you tell him exactly what you want he'll do it. The stage turned out way better than I expected and got endless compliments on the decor. Would definitely reccommend him!
