About this vendor
American Dream Cakes is a Woman & Veteran owned family bakery that has been making beautiful and delicious tasting wedding cakes throughout Eastern North Carolina since 2001.
We work with each couple individually to make your wedding cake and dessert choices personalized and unique.
We recommended scheduling your consultation appointment early, as most of our dates book 6-12 months out (for weddings of 100 guests or more). *You cannot book with us until you have booked your venue, and the time of your ceremony/reception is confirmed. This is to avoid possible scheduling delivery conflicts. Delivery is available for 3-tier or larger cakes (fee applies outside of Jacksonville NC), smaller cakes and or cupcakes must be picked up at the bakery.
We bake all products fresh, no pre-bake and freeze, and we decorate the wedding cake the day of your event to ensure you get the freshest possible product. We believe your cake and desserts should not only be beautiful, but they should also taste delicious!

We did a cake tasting appointment and loved the funfetti, marble and cherry chipper. We did a 3 tier cake with the 3 flavors in it. We asked if our dogs could be put on the cake so...
mehow and Sara made our dogs out of chocolate for the cake! In love with how they came out. I ordered the cake topper for them to add on. It tasted great and everyone loved it! We had 75 guests, we also did an ice cream bar ourselves and still had cake left over to take home!
I highly recommend this bakery for your wedding cake. The whole experience was incredible. We ordered a cake tasting box to-go that had our top choices of cake and different fillin...
gs on the side so we could mix and match and decide exactly how we wanted the cake. We chose cherry chipper and almond cake with chocolate and strawberry filling. We also had a barely semi-naked buttercream finish on the outside. The cake was meant for 30 people but I do wish we ordered a bigger cake because it went so fast! Everyone loved the cake! We received many compliments on the cake. We also ordered vanilla cupcakes for whoever didn't want cake and I heard those were terrific too! Gunilla was also a pleasure to work with! She was so kind and helpful. The cake was definitely a highlight at our wedding.

ding cake. I brought a picture in and she walked us through every intricate detail. I even had a porcelain cake topper that was very fragile but she gave me the utmost trust and confidence that she would take care of my precious topper. The cake was delivered on time and my guests loved the cake so much that most of them
each had more than one piece. The cake was so fresh and fluffy. My husband and I even ate some more of the cake at 2 AM in the morning as we discussed what a blessing the wedding was. I will definitely recommend American Dream Cakes to my family and friends. As well as I will be back next year to have them make my retirement cake from the military. Great service, great attitude, great prices and great people.
I gave four stars because for my scheduled tasting appointment, the shop had overlooked my appointment, so they were not prepared for our visit. The quality and taste of the cake w...

Can’t say enough about them. Everyone is so helpful and accommodating, they can do anything. Honestly the best cake I’ve ever had in my life too!

e asked where our cake was from at our wedding along with wanting a second piece. Great price point as well and wonderful communication from start to finish on making our dream cake come to life. They delivered the cake on time along with transporting the cake to our venue which was a distance from their shop. We will use them for countless other events in the future and highly recommend them to anyone in and around the area in need of a wonderful cake!

ithout an appointment, however the gentleman behind the desk had us sit and look at cakes and then approximately 15 minutes later told us we would have to make an appointment to come back they had cakes to deliver and didn't have time to speak with us. Not to mention we had to pay for the tasting of the cakes that were not very good. My fiance refused to have our cake made there because the store was disgustingly dirty. We will never go back.
We ordered a 3-tier wedding cake with a beach theme and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. They airbrushed the bottom of each tier blue so it looked like water, ...
put clusters of white chocolate shells sitting in beds of light brown sugar to resemble sand on each tier, and put things that looked like bubbles coming up from each cluster of shells. On top of it all, it was the most delicious cake I have ever tasted! I would highly recommend American Dream Cakes to anyone!
