We had DJ Freddie performing for our wedding, and he did a fantastic job! The planning portal provided was very easy to follow and layout information for the day, and Freddie was g...
reat with communicating questions he had, or answering questions we had/receiving music that was cut or not listed. At the event, Freddie communicated with us well, and all the guests enjoyed the variety of music played! Would definitely recommend again!
Very friendly and open to explaining anything you have a question to.
We booked Scott for our June wedding. He was very professional and dressed appropriately for the night. Our reception was in a museum and he had no problem setting up his equipme...
nt in the garden so we could be introduced there and then moving it all to the reception area. He made sure to tour the reception site with us to make sure we had everything where we wanted him to set it up. He even was able to get a machine to make stars on the ceiling of the rotunda, which saved us a ton of money from using another vendor for lighting. Scott has an extensive library of songs to chose from. There is an online page where you enter your must plays and do not play songs which was easy to complete. He checked in during the night to make sure everything was going well and that the music was what we wanted.
Scott was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating during the planning stages, which is why I'm rating him a three. He played the incorrect song for my father and I to wa...
lk down the aisle to, mixed up the bridal party entrance song, and pronounced names wrong after we went over the annunciation a. All in all, it didn't ruin our day by any means, but was a little upsetting.
Scott Hanna of American Entertainment did an amazing job at our wedding reception. He talked us through each step of our music and he was a fantastic MC. He was professional and fu...
n through the entire night. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a fantastic DJ in the Cleveland area!
Scott Hanna of American Entertainment dj'd our outdoor reception in July. We gave him a couple requests and genres to play and he ran with it. Everyone LOVED the music and the danc...
e floor was busy the whole time! We even had guests ask for his info! Scott also did a fantastic job making sure all of the events flowed and I didn't have to worry about the time! Thank you Scott :)
Scott Hanna was our DJ and he was amazing! From the time the music started everyone was dancing and they didn't stop until the party had to come to an end. His options are endless ...
to make sure you have exactly what you want. Many of our guests are still saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Thank you Scott!!
Our DJ(Scott) was very professional, but fun. He walked us through everything and made the planning part really easy. I was really nervous about putting all of this together, but...
he made it so easy.
The Master of Ceremonies part really made the evening flow. We noticed him early on telling us, our parents, the bridal party, and other vendors what was happening, what we needed to do and where to be next so anyone that had to do anything didn't need to remember what they were supposed to do. It was really helpful. My maid of honor was really nervous about making a speech and kept re-writing it. She said Scott told her to just stand up and tell me what I mean to her. It was beautiful. She didn't use her notes at all.
The Grand Entrance was a lot of fun. We had a different song for each couple. We got a lot of compliments on the Grand Entrance, and Scott really showed why he's a great wedding DJ.
The music was excellent. We picked a small handful of songs, but he kept everyone dancing all night. He played some great older stuff, some line dances and newer music that everyone liked.
I will recommend American Entertainment to all of my friends.
DJ Scott was hilarious! Everyone was on the dance floor and if they weren't he quickly changed the song. He made sure he had our bridal parties name's pronounced correctly and he...
even did the Gand Nas Style Dance w/the rest of our party...HILARIOUS!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
I used American Entertainment for my DJ for a few reasons. #1 the cost was affordable, #2 the sound system was small and not annoying, #3 the planning process was easy enough. I di...
d not like how the planning form was not editable. You basically had to do it in 1 sitting or it wouldn't load properly. Also, I had wanted to make a change to my introduction as bride and groom song so I texted Scott and I thought he understood my change. I am introduced and it was the old song he played and changed my first dance song. I was not happy about that and thankfully he stopped and fixed it within 30 seconds. I did have one complaint that I didn't plan for. I had a lot of fast dance songs played back to back. I would suggest asking him to put a slow song every 30 miniutes or so/
Scott Hanna was great to work with. Not only was he a great DJ who read the crowd well, he also made sure all of the events at the reception ran smoothly! I felt very taken care ...
of! I received so many compliments on how nice he was and how great his choice of music was. I had the time of my life and so did all of the guests!!
Our DJ was a friend of my Husband's sister-in-law. We saw him do their wedding and had to have him do ours. We met with him to discuss the order of the reception and the song pla...
ylist. He had all our requested songs in his catalog and did an amazing job keeping the party going. We was nice, personable, accomodating, and polite. I would hire him again in an instant!
We had Scott Hanna DJ at our wedding and we really enjoyed his services.

el better.
During the reception he kept the party moving, played the music we wanted, and did an overall outstanding job. He came up to me at points during the night to let me know what was next up on the schedule in order to remind me where I needed to be.
We wanted low-key for our DJ and he did just that. He even pronounced everyone's names correctly, which had been one of my concerns having been at other weddings where DJs mispronounced names of the wedding party.
The whole night turned out beautifully and I would definitely recommend Scott Hanna.
I regret booking Scott Hanna's company, American Entertainment, for our wedding.
Scott told us he would DJ our wedding himself, but two weeks before our big day, he fell off of...
a roof and broke his shoulder, and he told us he could not do our wedding afterall. The replacement DJ was Scott's brother, Rob Hanna. Rob introduced me during the father-daughter dance as "Andrea." My name is Jessica, and that careless mistake was upsetting.
Rob also was under dressed for DJing wedding. Scott assured us our DJ would wear a tux or dark suit to the wedding, but Rob arrived in khakis, a tie, and a sport coat -- and he even took off the sport coat early in the night.
On the business side, leading up to the wedding, we had a difficult time getting Scott to return e-mails and phone calls, even before his medical emergency. That added to the pre-wedding stress.
For these and a host of other reasons, I would recommend strongly that brides and grooms book another company.
I used them for my wedding in May. It was perfect. They were very helpful in helping planning the evening and gave me lots of good ideas but still kept emphasizing that it still ...
should be what I want.
The whole night was perfect. I got married at Windows on the River, They put a sound system upstairs for the cocktail hour and then a sound system down stairs for the reception. My brother said that with high ceilings the sound may not be good, but they used a system that sounded perfect. Great MC as well. Very professional, not corny or cheesy. Highly reccomend
He played the music we selected.;Be clear about the music you want during dinner.
Very helpful and did as requested.;Some technical difficulties
Our DJ was affordable and tried his best to meet our expectations.;You select the music you'd like to be played from their website. However the website is confusing and they will...
wind up playing some of your 'play if possible' songs in place of your 'MUST PLAY' songs. A little disappointing. Also our DJ was very sweet but he kept coming over to me while I was trying to dance or talk to our guest to make sure that the music sounded ok. He did this maybe about 7 times during the night and I think that one time might have been enough.
;I was extremely disappointed with my DJ. He spent the whole reception hitting on my bridal party. He was crude and not helpful to the groom. He also was always on the dance floor ...
no DJing!
