American Image Salon and Spa

This place was a NIGHTMARE to work with for my wedding!!! They caused me more wedding stress than literally any other part of wedding planning. I had been going to this salon for several years to get my hair cut and loved Hannah who had been my stylist. When I found out that Hannah also did wedding hair, it seemed like the obvious choice for my wedding. I decided to do both hair and makeup at American Image. I scheduled a trial for both- my hair didn't turn out great TBH, but I trusted Hannah and I LOVED my makeup. The first red flag was when I saw on Hannah's instagram that she moved salons. No one from American Image contacted me to let me know she had left. I had to reach out to them! They did provide another stylist and gave a complimentary trial, but I was annoyed that I had to be the one to figure out the problem. If I hadn't seen Hannah's instagram post, I'm not sure that I would've had someone there on my wedding day to do my hair!! Red flag number two was when the salon double booked my makeup artist. Again, they assigned another stylist and gave another complimentary trial, but this meant that I had to take a half day off work a couple weeks before my wedding just to do another trial! The final straw that compelled me to actually write a review for this place was what happened on the actual wedding day. The receptionist, who was SUPER rude to all my bridesmaids, told them that they didn't have enough stylists to do everyone's hair. They told my bridesmaids that they weren't going to do MY hair, leaving me stranded on my wedding day without a stylist, so my maid of honor just ended up DOING HER OWN HAIR!!! This place is awful, they were super rude and caused me a lot of stress during my wedding. STAY AWAY!!!!
