I was recommended Marianna at American Cleaners by the seamstress who did my wedding dress alterations. I love that American Cleaners takes care of cleaning AND preserving your dress! They were so easy to work with the whole process. I dropped off my dress a week after my wedding and within a month my dress was ready to pick up! It came preserved in a beautiful white box with additional plastic lining around the box. My dress was not very full, and the box is the perfect size to store in my closet. Payment was very smooth as well. I would highly recommend for wedding dress cleaning and preservation!

Preservation protects your gown from exposure to light and air. Choosing not to preserve your wedding dress increases the likelihood of yellowed fabric, brown spots, mold/mildew, and permanent creases or tears in the fabric. Don’t take the risk!
Our Process
Wedding Dress Preservation and standard dry cleaning are not the same. Wedding day spills such as soda, wine, and cake can dry without leaving a mark, but these sugary stains, which are not dissolved during ordinary dry cleaning, will caramelize into brown spots. Did we mention sweat, makeup, and hemline dirt? No problem! After your wedding, we’ll clean your gown and take extra steps to remove all stains – even the ones you can’t see.
Our cleaning process is environmentally friendly, and our preservations are carbon neutral. We use the most innovative, all-natural products and continuously train our staff to ensure that we have the most up-to-date practices.
After cleaning, we inspect your gown before carefully layering it with acid-free tissue and preserving it in a specialty wedding chest for a lovely keepsake!
Going beyond the gown, we offer preservation of additional items such as a veil, purse, garter, and shoes, creating a collection of wedding day mementos.
Our guarantee includes free correction of discoloration and free pressing for future use. If you pass your gown on to a friend or relative, any Association of Wedding Gown Specialists member will press it before use.

the process and what makes them different from all others. After completing the initial forms, we moved the process along and in just 3 weeks I had my dress returned to me via UPS in a stunning box and certificate of authenticity. Highly recommend!

ned within 4 weeks. However it has now been 8 weeks and I still have not received my gown back. I continue to email and call the shop and keep getting excuses (some one out sick, they won't ship over weekends, its a holiday) for why they have not returned it. They have already completed the payment but simply will not send me my dress back.

My wedding was over 6 years ago, and my dress had significant mud on the bottom from my outdoor wedding. When I received my gown, I was so excited because the mud stains were completely removed! Also, Marianna included my veil and sash to be preserved with my gown. I also worked with Kris directly to have my gown shipped back to me. I received my gown promptly and in such great condition. ave a larger wedding down the road. All that said, I am so glad that my seamstress referred me to American Wedding Gown Specialists. They were able to remove a giant stain that went down the entire left side of my dress that I didn't even know was there, making it so that I can ACTUALLY wear my gown again. Marianna is an absolute gem and a joy to work with. She updated me at every step of the preservation process, and really went above and beyond what I had expected.

t out. Mariana took her time and was most helpful in advising me. She was able to restore and clean the gown and recreate the 20-foot veil with tiara and all the original Bakelite flower ornaments. There must have been 50 of them. She packed it all in a windowed display box, and I gave it to my daughter as a keepsake. She and her team even helped me to round out the gift with ideas for other accessories, so I loved my experience with them. Luckily, I live locally, but the whole process could easily have been executed from anywhere in the county. It's too bad that I don't have more wedding dresses to clean and preserve!
