The Americus Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, opened its doors in August 2021 and earned its place in the Lehigh Valley Historic Society. As you enter the newly renovated and restored hotel, with a cozy lobby, and "Windows on 6th" restaurant currently serving guests for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring the original bar. Large glass windows provide a view into the Grand Ballroom with its original 1927 green crystal chandeliers and floral medallions on the ceilings, perfect for a wedding reception. Seating from 50-300 guests. Making sure that they checked in every step of the way and that our vision for the day of really came to light. We had 160 guests staying at the hotel over the weekend and they graciously provided us with a group rate discount as an extra incentive for our guests to book their rooms. We hosted our Rehearsal Dinner, Cocktail Hour, Wedding Reception and After-Party at the Americus and it was perfect from start to finish. Our guests loved the hotel, it is old-school elegance and absolutely gorgeous. The food was incredible and the drinks were good. The Rehearsal Dinner was held at the Sky Ballroom which is at the top floor, which was so nice because it allowed us to save the grand ballroom for our main event! We had our Welcome cocktails the night before and our after-party in the main lobby bar area and on our wedding day we held our Cocktail hour and Reception in the Historic Grand Ballroom. It was truly breath taking. We have continuously been complimented on our wedding from those who attended saying that it was the best wedding they've ever been to! The rooms were clean and spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel has a really nice mix of modern amenities while still maintaining the original 1920s charm. We highly recommend Americus Hotel!!! 5 STARS! We had the best weekend and the most perfect wedding day!

She was quick to respond to all communications, which was extremely helpful since I was planning the wedding from out of state. We had many guests who stayed at the hotel too, and whether they stayed for a week or for one night, they had an excellent experience. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel staff was accommodating and hospitable. Before our wedding, I did not know anyone who had their wedding at the Americus, so I was nervous to have our reception there. However, after our experience, I would highly recommend the hotel for any event! We loved it!

last minute, but fortunately, the Americus’s staff was more than happy and eager to jump in and help us with the entire setup of the reception decor without us even needing to ask. Both the General Manager (Ken) and the Rooms Manager (Danny) were awesome to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. This venue is an absolute stunner! The 1920s original decor and mentions of Allentown history in the grand ballroom make it a one of a kind space that needs minimal additional attention. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous it was. We had our cocktail hour in Windows on 6th, where we enjoyed the sunlight and original floor to ceiling windows. Later, we entered via the large staircase, which was quite the show stopper. The wait staff at the Americus is immaculate. We have had multiple meals at their restaurant - holiday meals, brunch, menu tasting, dinners, etc. - and every time, the wait staff has been very respectful and a delight to speak with. Their service has been exceptional, and the quality of meals top notch. This was the same for our wedding, the food was an absolute hit, and the service made you feel like you were being welcomed into their home. Every element of our wedding at the Americus hotel was perfect, and I could not recommend it enough!

y to our venue (just blocks from Vault 634) but ending up adding a room block and staying here the night before and of the wedding. The room they use for a bridal suit is great! Large enough for hair/makeup to easily be done in the room (We had 6 people). We did our rehearsal dinner on the mezzanine level which was intimate and had a great view of the beautiful lobby. We also used their ballroom for our first look and have a few photos from the balcony on the top floor. The views were amazing and made for very beautiful pictures! We worked with Nancy who was incredible sweet and thorough.
