We chose the harp trio from Amethyst Trio, featuring harpist Lara, as our ceremony music for ...
SF City Hall. Her prep-worksheet helped us brainstorm music for the ceremony. Their repertoire was quite extensive and we didn't have to swap out anything.
The flow between pieces was so smooth. The pre and post ceremony pieces also created such an elegant vibe that suited City Hall.
We planned an elegant, yet simple and small wedding. Our vision was to have beautiful music for the ceremony, cocktail hour & dinner reception. Lara, the harpist, and her violinist...
created exactly the atmosphere we wanted. Their repertoire of music is extensive so the decision of what to play was left to them with the exception of the processional and the recessional (which Lara made the recommendation for). Everything went so smoothly and our family and friends commented how perfect our music choice was.
Lara is awesome!! We had originally booked someone else for our wedding but due to scheduling conflicts, our original musician cancelled on us and recommended Lara. We are so glad ...
that Lara was available to perform at our wedding! She is easy to work with and of course the music was fantastic. Lara definitely made our wedding so much more special! We highly recommend and would definitely hire her again for future events.
Lara and her fellow band members were exceptional! They played all of the songs we wanted, and more! Once I heard them start playing "All of Me" by John Legend (the song I chose to...
walk down the aisle to), I couldn't help but start tearing up - not only did that song mean so much to my husband and I, but they played it SO beautifully. Since the band has a variety of musicians that you can hire, we went with Lara (on harp), the violinist, and cellist. Would recommend them to anyone for any event! Would also hire them next time I throw a party for sure! Thank you guys for making my ceremony beautiful!
Awesome harpist Lara Garner
Amethyst Trio was a lovely addition to my wedding ceremony at Saints Peter & Paul Church in San Francisco. They are reasonably priced and kind enough to find pieces of music for qu...
artets that could be adapted for a trio. They also accommodated my husbands aunt who is a cantor and wanted to sing a few verses of Ave Maria (which turned into many verses- she relished the spotlight). I wish I could have heard them play more since I was at the end of the processional and the beginning of the recessional, but it sounded lovely.
Lara was a true joy to work with! She met all of my requests and the guests lived the music!
Amethyst trio were excellent. I hired them for a memorial service. My father enjoyed the violin, and I wanted to have a nice violin piece during the service. They were able to p...
rovide multiple suggestions for the piece - we chose the Vivaldi Winter Largo section. They were on time and played while people were coming in. When it came to the piece in the middle of the memorial, there was a mixup with the funeral parlor and they started a video during the piece. The group took it in and even extended their music since the video went long. I received many compliments from attendees saying that they really enjoyed the music.
We hired a trio to play at my wedding last month, and Amethyst Trio did not disappoint. It was a joy working with Lara. Lara was professional, knowledgeable, and prompt in her re...
sponses. She is also flexible in accommodating song requests. I am still getting comments from guests on how beautiful my wedding turned out, and I'm sure the music played a big role. Book early because on the day of my wedding, they had another wedding to play later in the afternoon. I plan to recommend Amethyst Trio to everyone!
The Amethyst Trio played during the ceremony and the cocktail hour for me. Lara was a pleasure to work with and made the whole process very easy. We were going to have a string t...
rio (violin, harp, cello) but it was so windy that Lara played the flute instead of the harp for the ceremony. It was still beautiful and I'm thankful that she was prepared and had the flute with her just in case.
All of the guests commented on the wonderful music. They played a great selection simply based on the type of music that I said I liked. I loved not having to come up with a playlist for them!
I would definitely recommend this group!
Lara and Anthony were awesome! As a busy bride, I was appreciative of Lara's follow up and attention to detail. She responded to emails promptly, was very open to my music selectio...
ns ("Don't stop belevin'" by Journey!) and played them all beautifully! Thanks again!
