Amorology Weddings

What an amazing party! It was the party of my DREAMS because of Amorology. The bride (my daughtr) was completely thrilled with absolutely everything. She noticed and she expressed appreciation over and over. Seeing Troy's arch go up in the back yard was my first clue that this was going to be a great event. Can't believe how gorgeous it was with Tint and Timber flowers. WOWOWOW. It took my breath away! Then approaching the cocktail space - I have no idea how Heather made that bare-bones set up REALLY sing. It was lovely. And people are RAVING about the infamous CHEESE DISPLAY! "So luxe! We all charged right over to it". You really made it feel bounteous and gracious. I'm sorry it required so much discussion; but what you created was like nothing that venue had ever seen. And the reception space! The fabric-covered poles! The clean white stage! The escort table! The backdrop! The delight of the guests as they approached the escort table! I know I loved it! And I did see pictures being taken in front of it. The head table was just exquisite. My daughter was soooo happy with the natural, enchanted vibe of that reception centerpiece. The linen, the gold candles. mmHm. Heather knew just the right understated details to make it special. Those details totally brought it together in a subconscious way. (Not matchy, just organic). I love everything Heather talked me into. She was very respectful of our budgetary desires, but showed us things that could really polish up the edges. People commented on the seamless flow of everything. I thought it was really smooth, really natural. And I now know that is no accident. The bride and groom were so impressed with assistant Maggie. She gave them total confidence and assurance and you could see it on their faces! I was impressed with assistant Margo and the whole Amorology team in the weeks leading up to the event. Their experience, talent, and gracious way with us and with the guests was truly impressive. One friend paid me the ultimate compliment: She described the over-arching, completely palpable feeling of love that permeated the whole affair. Amorology let that all happen by not letting any of the mechanics of the evening stick out. It was perfection. I am as frugal as they come. It was a deep breath and big gulp as I ponied up for the whole idea of a wedding planner. Heather and her team earn every single cent; believe it or not, you will feel like you got a GREAT VALUE, as I did. I had THE BEST TIME on my daughter's wedding weekend. I didn't think about a single detail. The planning was over, and I knew Heather totally had every detail under control. She helped us knock it out of the park, in my humble opinion ;)

There are a sea of wedding planners who will arrange for beautiful bouquets, cute invitations, charming escort displays, and picturesque tablescapes… These planners are undoubtedly talented, but they do not hold a candle to Heather Balliet and the gals at Amorology. Amorology is in a league of their own. They don’t just create a pretty picture, they take the lives, personalities, and visions of the bride and groom and transform them into a fairytale personal to the couple. Thanks to Amorology, our wedding was not only a hundred times more beautiful than we could have imagined, but also felt like it could have only belonged to us. The single best decision I made during the wedding process (after saying yes!) was enlisting the help of Amorology. Amorology has a team of tremendous vendors who they work with, and match with brides consistent with budget. While every decision was ultimately up to me, Amorology was not afraid to tell me that X will break the budget or Y may not look as good. I appreciated this frankness, and I am glad that I trusted Heather and her vision. Amorology was also helpful in guiding vendors to the "look" we had in mind, creating a unified suite of wedding design. When I wasn’t in love with something a vendor proposed, Amorology would swoop in and make it right, somehow knowing exactly what I had in mind (and then, of course, surpassing that!) They were always responsive to my questions and concerns, which meant a lot since I was planning my wedding from hundreds of miles away. When I finally sat down with Amorology to go over the design for my wedding, I was left speechless by what they had designed. Heather had 3 or 4 ideas for each aspect of the wedding, any one of which would have surpassed anything I could imagine. It was at the point that I realized I was in the presence of a wedding master, and that however beautiful or interesting I had pictured my wedding, Amorology would eclipse that in ways I did not know were possible. Heather’s supreme imagination, keen eye for design, love of detail, and utmost competence are a rare combination. Amorology’s fees are extremely reasonable considering the amount of work they put into each wedding. In fact, I am confident that I was able to save more money than I spent on Amorology as a result of their ability obtain preferential pricing with from vendors or on housewares they keep in stock. Also, while I opted for the partial planning/design package, I never felt like I was getting a lesser degree of service than a bride who booked the full package. In fact, I always felt like I was Amorology’s only bride! To think that they were planning several other weddings at the same time blows my mind. Amorology handled coordination of my wedding, but I have only a slight idea of what this entailed as I was able to enjoy my wedding day without worrying about what time vendors were showing up, etc. No wedding is without hiccups, but Heather and her team handled the event details with utmost ease and professionalism, and found time to help me quickly remove a lipstick stain from my dress and to stop the band from playing the wrong song, all the while convincingly assuring me that I had nothing to worry about. I am so thankful that Heather and her team exist, and that I was fortunate enough to work with them. Heather and her team were life savers. My husband (fiance then) and I needed help with last minute planning for our destination wedding, and Heather stepped in less than 3 months before our wedding date to START us in planning a wedding that I had never even imagined! Seriously, I was not one who had dreamt of her 'perfect' wedding day before, so while I am quite decisive, I had no idea what went into a wedding, and had never contemplated the design elements of what the big day would look like. Heather has a design eye that is spot-on, and while I pride myself on being "design-y", she picked up on my overall style immediately and elevated my natural decisions to "oh, that's even better" choices that I hadn't thought of before, yet seamlessly blended with the overall feel of the wedding. She "got" me. She was supportive and an active listener, and most of all, she understood our vision and style, and turned it into nearly 8 hours of "US." Heather and her team were available at nearly all times of the night (imagine the hours a stressed and excited bride is up), and while I wouldn't tout that their availability is the what their most commendable trait is, by any means, it certainly did make me feel like I was in good hands. Even when we changed decisions about our food vendors a month before the wedding, Heather stepped up with ideas immediately and got us an even more fitting caterer - all our guests were super pleased with our food, and we were over the moon. On the day of, Heather and her team were professional, warm, funny, relaxed, attentive, and in-synch with one another, as well as our whole wedding party. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience, and give great thanks to Amorology for their guidance!

When I first got engaged, I was definitely one of those people who was convinced I did not need a wedding planner. My career is in scheduling (heavy organization/detail) and I share a pretty good eye for design with my mother who agreed to help me. But thank goodness I realized pretty quickly that organizing a wedding is a full time job I didn't have enough time for and I didn't know nearly as much about weddings as I thought. Once I decided to start looking for a wedding planner, I immediately put Amorology and Heather Balliet at the top of my wish list! I had been following them on Instagram for awhile and always thought their work was incredibly gorgeous and dreamy. To get a full scope, I also took appointments with two other highly recommended planning groups and immediately knew I had to go with Heather after we met. It was one of those meetings where both my Mom and I left saying "We have to have her do the wedding!" Not even a discussion. From the first moment I met with them to even now after the wedding, they have been so thorough. I can't come up with enough amazing thing to say about them. From being completely organized and responsive to every whim, request and question to making my every wildest dream come true as far as design. Heather and the Amorology team truly are the best of the best. They make the wedding so personal to you and your Groom and that is definitely something that makes them incredibly special!
