Amy cakes

We loved working with Amy Cakes. We ordered our cupcakes a year in advance. We met with a consultant who helped us plan around our budget. They were friendly and provided us with cake testings. They quickly responded to emails and phone calls. We fell in love with the quality and taste of the cupcakes. Amy Cakes was amazing. I can't wait to go back just to get another cupcake. I would highly recommend Amy Cakes. :)

We ordered Amy Cakes cupcakes for our wedding day & loved them! We had a consultation a few months before the big day & they let us taste test some of our favorite flavors. They were delicious. Amy & her staff were easy to work with. They were also extremely affordable. Luckily, our venue was about a block away, so the groom picked up the boxes & brought them to the site. Everyone said how pretty they looked & how yummy they tasted. We would definitely recommend this company & I can't wait to eat our two saved cupcakes in a year!

I was very excited and set on Amy Cakes after looking at their website. However, I am planning a wedding in a different city from where I live and work full time. When I called to ask if I could schedule a consultation on a weekend, the woman was very mean to me about how that was not possible. When I asked if there was another way I could try their cakes and put down a deposit, because it is hard for me to get away during the week, she was very mean and told me it would not be possible. She implied that I just wanted free cake. I was very excited to support a local business in Dayton, OH, and was disappointed to be treated so badly. I know I am not the only person to try to plan a wedding in a city other than the one I live in, and can't believe they wouldn't be more willing to help me.

The wedding cake was wonderful! Amy is very good at quickly returning emails to answer questions. We decided to change our wedding cake flavors after we had placed our original order, and Amy was very accommodating. Amy recommended sheet cakes in addition to our tiered cake to help contain costs, and her quote for our guest count was half the price of other quotes we got from other places for the same cake! Amy let us know a week before our final payment was due. The cake was delivered and set up with no problems and our guests loved our cake, and so did we!

While the cake was delicious, we did encounter a few problems with Amy Cakes. Upon booking (8 months in advance), I asked to pay the full amount, but was told they would rather not have me do that. 11 days before my wedding I still had not received an email with an invoice requesting the final amount. I was the one that had to reach out to them and was then told that I owed almost $50 in late fees and that if I didn't pay that day I would continue to owe more and more. While I did sign a contract stating that this would happen if the amount was not paid 14 days before, I think it is wrong of them to not send out an invoice prior to the final due date. With every other vendor we used, we were emailed at least a month out reminding us of our payment. Planning a wedding can get a bit crazy and it can be difficult to keep track of everything, especially payment dates, and you would think with the amount you pay, a vendor could reach out to you. I also requested boxes for leftover cake and was told they do not provide, which seems strange for a bakery not to provide a box, again especially with what you pay. Like I said, we heard nothing but praise for the cake, but the customer service is most definitely lacking.

Amy and her team made our wedding cake, sheet cakes, and grooms cake and they were all phenomenal! Her pricing is incredible as well for the quality of product! Not only did it taste amazing, it looked beautiful! We are so happy we went with Amy Cakes. She delivered and set up beautifully and on time as well.

Amy is amazing at what she does. I was so happy with how the cake turned out and it tasted as good as it looked. It was the very flavorful and moist! Love Amy and would recommend her to everyone!
