There, I said it. Ass. I said ass on the internet. I'm such a rebel. I'll start first by telling you-- I'm not your average wedding photographer. And I am far from traditional. I don't shoot to get on the fanciest of wedding blogs. I'm am focused on YOU! Your day, your honest moments. Everything from the first look tears to that crazy guest busting a move on the dance floor and then all those moments in between. There is a 99% chance we'll become super close over the course of your engagement and I'll probably cry at least a time or two on your big day. I love my job and more importantly, I LOVE my couples. attention to the little details. Some of my favorite shots from our wedding day are the candids of little things, my grandmother whispering in my ear, my sister feeding me a bite of bagel in between photos, my mom and mother in law laughing with each other during toasts.
In addition to our wedding, Amy also did a lifestyle shoot with us. I may love those photos even more than our wedding day photos. They're so intimate and so real, they perfectly captured everything I love about our little home and our little family, with our two dogs.
Last thing I want to say- I am not photogenic. I am not a model. My husband and I are both uncomfortable in front of cameras and hate pictures of ourselves. We both forget that when Amy is the one holding the camera. She has a demeanor that makes you feel so natural, it doesn't matter that there is a camera there. You're just in the moment. And when she takes your photo, you always look like your best self.
I'm pretty sure she's magic.

as my husband popped the question I knew EXACTLY who I wanted to be there for my big day. Amy actually congratulated us on our instagram photo before anyone else did! I then immediatly contacted Amy to get information and set everything up! My wedding was a year and a half away from my engagement and she was so patient and understanding with the timelines of when we could put a deposit down and helped us set up our payments.

Everything she did for us was an idea we had that she then used her own creative imagination to make it into something we would have never thought of! She truly is so gifted.
My wedding day:
My wedding day was chaotic. I felt like I was running around like a chicken without a head. From my cake falling apart, our entire liquor supply crashing to the ground and breaking, to unpleasant relatives; the day felt more of a burden than a wedding day. But Amy was more than a photographer that day. She calmed me down and made me laugh about all of the situations that had happened. Reminded me that it was MY wedding day and to enjoy it. That all of these little things will mean nothing compared to the big day. And even told me that I would look back on them and laugh. (She was right) She even offered to run to the store to grab Dora the Explorer cupcakes to replace my ruined cake. She has such an energy about her that I'm unable to describe in words. And with the day being as stressful as it was, she was still able to capture the most amazing photos that truly highlighted how beautiful our wedding day was. I look back at my photos and don't remember the crazy parts of my wedding, but all of the amazing, happy, tear filled, belly laughing, BEAUTIFUL moments. Amy is such an amazing photographer but also an incredible human being. I recommend her to everyone I know!
