We cannot recommend Amy and her team enough! She instantly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is not our strong suit. Not only did she capture the most beautiful, authentic photos of us, but her images have such incredible depth and dimension. We were also blown away by all the candid, in-between moments she captured of our guests, moments we didn’t even realize were happening at the time. For us, photography was one of the most important parts of our wedding, and I’m so glad we chose Amy because we’ll love these photos for decades.

Amy is amazing to work with. During the photo session, we had so much fun that my husband and I forgot we were doing a photo session and were just enjoying being goofy and giddy in the garden. I really like to eat, take pictures of what I eat, play with my cats, take pictures of my cats. Great. Now everyone is going to think I'm the crazy cat lady, and this has nothing to do with qualities that would make me an optimal mate nor does it have anything to do with my effective interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills :P. I only have a few characters left so long story short: love photography, love stories.

At the wedding, friends and family were also so impressed by how she somehow managed to be everywhere at once, capturing every angle and moment even though she was just one person. We haven’t received the full set of photos yet (the wedding was only a few days ago), but if they’re anything like the preview or our engagement photos, I know they’ll be amazing. We can already tell from the extensive preview album that Amy was able to perfectly balance traditional wedding shots with incredible candids and creative, stylized images—exactly the mix we were hoping for. I can’t recommend her enough!

n the day-of, it was quickly obvious we'd made the right decision. She made the formal family portraits a non-tedious experience, and even got our toddler nephews to smile for a few pictures! She did a wonderful job with the formal and candid photos, and we especially loved how our stylized couple shots came out. She brings a unique eye to the traditional wedding moments, and was able to fully capture our personalities in the photos. From the beginning and throughout the entire process, her communication was excellent, and her pricing is fair. And most importantly, she was a joy to spend time with on our wedding day. My husband and I are both teachers, and we were planning a COVID wedding. With our limited resources, Amy listened to our concerns and met us where we were at. I cannot say enough about her warmth and adaptability throughout a very stressful process. Amy's kindness and thoughtfulness were so great that she texted me the week of HER wedding to check in, because it was two days before mine!
Of all the decisions we made, hiring Amy for our wedding was one of our best, if not the very best. Book her. Seriously. She's unbelievably talented and a genuine treasure.

her and her incredible work. And we haven't even gotten all the photos back from the wedding! She is just SO good at her job. My fiancé (now husband) and I are not too into taking pictures and were very nervous for the engagement shoot. We literally didn't even notice that we were smiling the entire time. She had us laughing and goofing off and we got the sweetest most genuine photos. She also brought her little pup on the shoot which was adorable.
At our wedding we had about 150 guests so Amy's boyfriend came as the second shooter. They are both so talented. They gave great direction and captured beautiful moments. I'm so excited to see the rest of the photos. My husband and I both commented about how kind and sweet they were and we wish we lived in Austin so we could be friends with them after the wedding.

She is beyond talented. If I was having my wedding in Austin, I would hire her hands-down. Boudoir was something I always wanted to do for myself before I got married, as an empowerment project. Amy was awesome. She made the shoot so much fun and very laid-back. There was no pretense or awkwardness (the things you worry about with a boudoir shoot).
When I saw the images I could not have been more pleased. They are the perfect balance of artsy, elegant, and so very attractive. I'm very self-conscious and was initially worried that I just don't have the body for this kind of thing and that my pictures would be terrible, but she made me look amazing. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Amy delivered both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures well within the estimated time frame, and they were all wonderful. The biggest problem with hiring Amy Dang Photography is that you will have too many great photos to choose from when printing or sharing with friends, and you will be sad that it's unreasonable to print every single one.

We booked a mini session with her first, to get to know her before the wedding. Her personality was a perfect fit! We knew we had made the right decision in choosing her for our wedding.
I also secretly booked her for a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift for my husband. Having never done something like that before, I was nervous. But she was the right amount of professional and fun to make the whole experience easy!
When the wedding day came, she captured everything perfectly. Between her and the second shooter, they were around for every moment. She kept me sane and calm during the chaos. Her sense of humor is what I appreciated most!
We love Amy and are constantly recommending her to others. We hope she never leaves the Austin area, or else our family will just stop have to stop having our pictures taken :)
