Updating my review as we've now had another EXCEPTIONAL experience with Amy Ellis Photography. Amy shot our post-elopement celebration. From our first phone call with her, we knew Amy was the photographer for us. We knew we wanted to do something a little less traditional, and it was clear from our conversation that Amy understood and respected our vision. She was communicative leading up to our event, confidently directed our family and friends for portraits, and ensured the magic of our event was captured from start to finish so we wouldn't have to. She is an exceptionally talented photographer, but she also felt more like a friend than a vendor. She was a key part of our party team, and we're so grateful for the many beautiful photos she captured of our family, friends, and special event.

Amy made sure to keep in touch leading up to the wedding and guided us regarding some of the decision making for day of. She was so easy to be around and was totally flexible with impending weather. It ended up raining day of and Amy was still able to get the most amazing shots. We wanted to make sure that she was able to capture the special moments during our weekend and she did just that. We had an amazing time looking through all of the photos and will treasure them FOREVER! Also, she got everything back to us so quickly which was so nice. We would 100% recommend hiring Amy for your photos. She is a rockstar with an amazing eye.

engagement photoshoot. Amy is so thoughtful with her photography and enjoys catching the moments as opposed to forcing perfectly posed photos. It really felt special and intimate and we ended up having so many laughs throughout it, too! It was a really fun time and made for a great memory for when we look back at the beautifully natural photos that Amy captured. On our actual wedding day, we felt like we could just sit back, relax, and enjoy with Amy as our photographer. We knew she was there, but yet she blended into the moment instead of pausing the moment to catch a photo. She was also great at organizing when needed, especially with larger groups of people! And she was really great and patient with the kiddos! Amy sent us several previews within 24 hours of our wedding day and WOW, they were unbelievable. It was so lovely to get these back so close to the event when emotions were still running so high. All of our friends and family were overjoyed with her work. Amy, thank you for capturing our day in a way that fully represents our personality and the community around us. You are so talented and it was so lovely to work with you. We love you!

mportant day! Her catalog of work was beautiful but we were even more thrilled when we worked with her for our own engagement photo shoot. Amy listened to ideas we had and offered suggestions for shots and spots about the city, too. These photos were STUNNING and confirmed we made the right choice. Amy was always available for questions and checked in several times during the planning process. I really appreciated the thorough survey she sent out and reviewed before the wedding to make sure she shot people and events most important to us. She also wanted to be sensitive to any unique/contentious family situations, which was so thoughtful and considerate. Spending hours with Amy during the wedding day was such a treat! Along with being so kind and easy to be around, she was such a professional and kept us on track all day too. I felt like she was my advocate too - especially when a family member basically demanded a photo not on our discussed list, making sure I was okay with any changes. We received amazing preview photos just a few short days after the wedding and are SO excited to see the rest! Amy thoughtfully and beautifully captured such a special day to us and we’re so thankful to have had the chance to work with her.

a nightmare of a wedding planner, but with Amy checking in, reviewing my day of timeline, and making suggestions, I felt very confident things would run smoothly and we would have great photos to remember our day for years to come. (Everything did go perfectly, fortunately I had great vendors that I trusted completely). My husband is that person ducking from the camera, putting his hand in front of his face, or just missing from every picture, but Amy made him feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. First time he’s never put up a fight about being in a picture! The aspect I love most about working with Amy is that the photos are not stagnant and posed. She captures the life and the real moments. I can’t recommend Amy Ellis Photography enough! You won’t be disappointed.

ll cherish forever. Beyond being a very talented photographer and artist, she has a fantastic personality and was so easy to work with. I always felt confident with her as she is through in preparing for your wedding. She is beyond easy to communicate with- our engagement shoot fell on rainy days may times in a row and she was more than willing to reschedule when worked best for me and my husband. Everyone in my family agreed that she went unnoticed during the entire ceremony and reception yet produced amazing pictures of every aspect of the day. Amy was able to make changes when it rained on our wedding day and still put me at ease that the pictures would turn out wonderfully, which they did. She treats you like a friend, is personable and is worth every penny! I would highly recommend her to anyone!
