I could not recommend Amy enough - she is absolutely amazing! She is so skilled in so many areas - she’s professional, organized, timely, creative, talented, kind, and also extremely helpful! Our day would not have gone as smoothly as it did without Amy’s help. She was so efficient with time and consistently made sure we were right on schedule. Amy was able to quickly handle any issues as they popped up throughout the day and worked so closely and well with our planner (Jackie Fogartie, who I also highly recommend) as well as our other vendors. Amy captured so many beautiful photos and honestly, taking pictures with my husband after our first look was one of my favorite parts of the day. I never knew taking photos could be so fun! Amy was amazing at capturing the most meaningful moments that go by so quickly and the smallest details of our day that I was too busy to notice at the time. I couldn’t be happier to to have such beautiful photos that so perfectly capture our whole day. Not only is Amy an amazing photographer, but she’s also a genuinely kind person. One memory we’ll always have from our wedding day is Amy giving my husband and I Swiftie-style friendship bracelets in our wedding colors. It was such a sweet gesture that we’ll always remember. If you’re getting married in the Charlotte area (or even outside the Charlotte area), I could not recommend Amy enough - working with her was absolutely one of the best decisions we made!

I hired Amy as our wedding photography for our fall 2023 wedding. I chose her after being a bridesmaid in another wedding that she photographed. Once I saw her in action, I knew I had to hired her. She is organizing, flexible, honest and funny. She makes you and your groom comfortable in front of the camera. She gets all the photos you need in an efficient time frame. We were on a tight time schedule due to the impending rain, she got all the photos we asked for right before it stormed! Then she got creative with indoor photos. The engagement shoot before the wedding is great practice before the big day! She also sets up time with you before the wedding to talk through the photos you want and your wedding timeline. I felt confident once Amy arrived that everything would go smoothly and it did! I would highly recommend making the investment!

We used Amy for our engagement pictures and our September wedding. She was so down-to-earth and we had so much fun with her at both sessions. Each time, she guided us in ways we should stand and pose (as a true professional does), but also more importantly gave us ample space to be ourselves, which reflected beautifully in her work. We felt comfortable and relaxed and that was so evident in her photos - I will treasure the pictures she took forever. Cannot recommend her highly enough!

Amy was truly such a pleasure to work with! We used her for our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner/welcome party, and our wedding day. Having a photographer who matches your vibe is so important since you spend so much time with them throughout the whole wedding day, and from the moment we met Amy I knew we'd be comfortable working with her. She is easy going yet gave direction when needed and kept us on track all throughout the day. We received an amazing HUGE collection of sneak peaks just after our wedding and then our full album only a month after! I have been a scrapbooker for 39 years so the pictures for our son’s wedding were so very important to me! Well… let me tell you Amy and her team surpassed our expectations from beginning to end! She started with the rehearsal dinner/welcome party and never stopped until our happy bride and groom were whisked away at the end of the reception! She totally captured all the emotions from the happy tears to all the celebrations on the dance floor! Her skills are A+++++ and the service incredible! The fact that we had all our pictures in less than a month was just over the top! I see her photographing our family events for years to come! I can’t thank her enough for capturing all the memories that we will cherish for decades! WOW!

Where to start…… Amy is the most incredible photographer and captured our day PERFECTLY. From the very first call, I could tell she was highly organized and passionate about what she does. Her photography style is timeless and we were so shocked at how quickly she turned around out highlights and full album. Would hire her over again a million times if we could! We will cherish her pictures forever and can’t wait to get some printed to have around the house. And as a bonus, she got my husband to actually enjoy the picture taking process! Amy is incredible!! I knew from first seeing her light and bright portfolio that her photos had the look and style that I wanted for my wedding day. I did engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding day photos with Amy and I love them all. The only thing stopping me from ordering my album is I can't decide which photos to include because they are all great. Amy is a total professional, shoots in film and digital, has great advice for posing and expression, and makes the whole process easy and fun. She arrived on time for all shoots and delivered images to me in a timely manner. Plus, she literally will make you look like a movie star! I strongly recommend working with Amy.

The absolute best!! Once I was engaged, I told my wedding planner that a good photographer was VERY important to me. Some vendors and wedding things I simply did not care about. I didn’t care about extravagant flowers or an expensive band, but I knew I wanted classic wedding photos that wouldn’t go out of style. I didn’t want super warm edited photos, but also didn’t like the super light and airy style. I wanted photos I could hang in my house for years that were timeless. Amy definitely exceeded my expectations! Her editing style and talent is absolutely beautiful! I cried tears of joy when I received our sneak peak and final gallery because the photos were flawless. Plus, looking through all the pictures is like reliving our big day again. Her quality is unmatched!! The amount of variety we have in our pictures is incredible! I love that she offers digital and film and has a second shooter. She captured small details I even missed on the big day. I have looked through our gallery numerous times because the pictures make me so happy! I usually don’t love pictures of myself, but I love the pictures Amy took! She knows the best angles, lighting, and made us feel SO comfortable behind the camera. She was also kind and very organized. She kept us on schedule on our wedding day which I appreciated. Book her. Book her highest package. I promise you won’t regret it!!

Amy was one of the best (if not THE best) decisions we made for our wedding day! Prior to our wedding, we had been to several weddings where Amy was the photographer and instantly connected with her. She is so personable and easy going! Her personality is radiant! I cannot express how important it is to have a photographer with a great personality. She is so easy to work with and truly listens to your "wants and needs" when it comes to engagement/wedding photos. Amy will make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera as well. I was worried my husband would have a hard time relaxing for photos, but by the end of our engagement shoot she made him feel like a model lol! We never felt awkward or uncomfortable through the "kissing candids" or dancing on the streets of Charleston! On top of her personality, her talent is truly A.MAZ.ING. We are beyond pleased with the way our engagement shoot and wedding photos turned out! We also did not make things easy for Amy, but she sure delivered. We had THREE different wedding dates between the years of 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 postponements. Our priority when postponing was to be sure our "next date" was available to Amy. She HAD to be our photographer. Especially after falling in love with the photos from our engagement shoot. She always made us feel like we were a priority to her as well. When I was heartbroken by the first postponement, my husband planned a sweet dinner with both of our parents in our backyard on our original wedding date. He asked Amy if she could be there just to take a few pictures and she made it happen! It meant so much to us that she was able to do this on Saturday night. I have mentioned Amy is so sweet and lovely, however she also knows how to keep a rowdy wedding party in line for pictures too! This is important as groomsmen and bridesmaids are not so focused on pictures after hours and hours of drinking beforehand haha. She took charge on our wedding day and kept everybody in line so we could get all of the shots we had asked her for! After our wedding day, Amy worked quickly to get our pictures edited and we were able to get a “sneak peak” while on our honeymoon. This was so fun to see so quickly so we could continue reminiscing over our dream wedding day! As an added bonus, she was able to edit some photos at our request months after our wedding. We had two people from our wedding day that were having an affair… I know this sounds crazy. We were devastated. One of the two was a bridesmaid. Sadly, this news came to light AFTER our wedding day and I felt as though many of our pictures were tainted by these two people. Amy was able to literally crop them from our pictures so we could still have pictures framed, posted, etc. She did this out of the kindness of her heart! No additional charge or anything. Again, this meant the world to us! She is a true gem and we feel so lucky to have had her as a part of our day! I could go on and on about Amy and how wonderful our pictures turned out, but unfortunately there is a word limit lol. We are just so grateful for Amy and all of her work she put into our wedding. All you need to know is that she is a wonderful person who is wildly talented and you will not regret choosing her for your wedding day :)

Amy and her team are the best! We were fortunate enough to work with Amy twice due to COVID- a mini-mony last year, and vow renewal and reception this year. We could not have asked for a better team of photographers. The photos turned out amazing, and Amy and her team captured every perfect moment of our special days. I was very particular about choosing a photographer because of how much time is spent with them on your wedding day. After an introductory phone call with Amy, I knew it was a great fit! Her personality is joyful, funny, and encouraging -- exactly what you want on your big day! We are not professional models by any means, and Amy put as at ease and made us feels comfortable being photographed all day. Amy and her assistant are incredibly professional but still very warm. We went over a very detailed shot list for family and bridal party pictures, and Amy created a detailed schedule/timeline. This made the photos run so smoothly and we were never rushed or stressed! Amy also worked so well with my wedding planner to mesh their day-of timelines. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Amy is incredibly talented and has an eye for detail. We are THRILLED with our photos. They are true heirlooms. I wanted timeless wedding pictures and that is exactly what we got. Such a gift. Thank you seems inadequate!!

I highly recommend Amy and her team! While I live in Seattle, I met Amy via FaceTime (pre-COVID) and we connected right away! She was so sweet and very easy to talk to. I was looking for a budoir photographer in the middle of quarantine. On a budget. With short turn around time. What I found was an incredible artist with a big heart , a great eye, and an endearing personality. She’s Passionate about her craft and incredible at it. I truly cannot express my gratitude for Amy and her team enough. Working with Amy is the best decision we made. We loved her use of film (there’s nothing like it) and immediately felt a sense of rapport after speaking with her. My husband and I are not naturals in front of the camera, but Amy put us at ease from the beginning. Her welcome guide was incredibly helpful (I read it at least 10 times) and I knew what to plan for and expect for the session. Amy and Natalie came up to New York for engagement photos---they brought so much energy we couldn’t help but smile and enjoy ourselves while we walked around Central Park! When those photos came back, I knew we made the right choice. Amy also shot my bridal portraits and I’m so glad we opted for that session. Not only did it free up time on the day of the wedding, but it was a great chance to do a dry run with the complete bridal look (and learn angles). Our wedding photos were everything we hoped for and more. Amy and her team were great with kids, grandparents, and adults alike. Everyone in our bridal party enjoyed working with Amy and her team—they continue to comment on how wonderful they were to this day. The photos are timeless and captured the spirit of the day so well. Sunshower Photography is beyond amazing and I would recommend them over and over again! Amy is the best and puts her all into every wedding/couple. She went so above and beyond that she even brought a snow machine to our wedding because our theme was winter wonderland and she wanted to give us a "snowy" picture. So cute. Amy was amazing! We interviewed several photographers but after meeting with her, we knew she would capture our special day the most authentically. She gave us guidance but allowed us to be us. She made sure to meet with us prior to the wedding to ensure our visions were the same. We got our pictures back within weeks and couldn’t be more in love with the photos! Having Amy as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made during the entire planning process! I cannot say enough great things about her. When we met for coffee after I originally reached out, we knew right away that she was the perfect hire. Right off the bat, she was responsive and energetic. Her photos are not overly exposed or overly dark - they're just a beautiful, cleaned-up version of whatever her subject happens to be. One of the most incredible things about Amy is that she's willing to travel for a shoot. For weather purposes, we took engagement pictures in Columbia, SC after Amy suggested a beautiful location. Our engagement session was the perfect way to get to know her better and to practice taking professional pictures as a couple. She guided us through everything that day and we felt so comfortable and confident with her. As for the wedding day - this is where I truly cannot say enough about her and her team. Amy and her assistant Natalie were so organized, professional, and FUN all day! I was so happy and relaxed with them and this definitely showed through in our pictures. I think one of the biggest signs of Amy's talent is how many compliments we've received from friends and family about how stunning our pictures are. They're classic, elegant, and timeless. She also makes sure to include plenty of black and white photos which are some of my favorite! You can tell how much time and effort she puts into her work because you won't be able to pick a few favorites - the whole gallery will be your favorite. Lastly, Amy's turnaround time was incredible. My husband and I had barely been back in town from the honeymoon before the whole gallery was ready! I don't want to promise anything for future couples, but our pictures were back in our hands within 2 weeks! Amy captured everything from the detail shots, to the formal photos, to the craziness on the dance floor at the reception perfectly. I cannot recommend Amy and her team enough - she is an incredibly talented photographer with tons of personality!

Amy is an absolute gem to work with!! We first met Amy during our engagement photo shoot in Annapolis, MD. She took time out of her vacation to make our engagement shoot convenient for us, as we live in the northern Virginia area. Since then, I've considered Amy a good friend. She was so nice and easy to work with, as her subjects weren't professionals. We didn't know what we were doing!! She gave us great direction without making us feel like we were totally incompetent. And the pictures turned out absolutely perfect. I'm not into the edited photos where they don't even look like the same people, Amy works with the natural light to make us look great, but still ourselves! I really enjoyed working with Amy over the past year and can't speak highly enough about her!!

Photography was one of the most important decisions for me as soon as I started planning my wedding. I was essentially referred to Amy through a friend and reached out to her almost immediately after looking through the open galleries on her website. It didn't take long to learn that, beyond her gift with a camera, she is a pure joy to work with as a person. She is always prompt in her response, offers helpful feedback and ideas when asked, finds the fun in every session, and ultimately never made me feel like I was simply a client. Amy is PERFECTION!!! She's hands down the best photographer. My husband and I are obsessed with our photos!! I'll start with our engagement shoot. From start to finish from the two spots we got to take photos at, she was so awesome. Amy did whatever she had to do to get the perfect shot - from climbing a latter, to getting in the water with her jeans on and getting sprayed with champagne... she got the shot! Along with her kindness and knowledge of how and where to pose, the whole day felt like a dream in the sunflower fields and in the water at Lake Norman. So obviously I booked her for the wedding! And again AMAZINGNESS! Definitely calmed my nerves by knowing I was in good hands. She got the most perfect shots from getting ready with my girls, the boys doing their thing, our first look, the ceremony, reception and the sunset. She was so on top of getting the best shots of us that I didn't even have to worry. When she sent our sneak peaks and the entire album, I was in tears. She captured the perfect day to show how amazing it all really went. To say the least, I couldn't be happier. You'll be happy to book her! Thank you, Amy!!!! :)

It has taken me awhile to write this because I have so much I want to say! Simply put, Amy is the best! She is very professional, yet seems like a longtime friend. From engagement pictures, to bridal portraits, to the wedding day, everything was easy with Amy. She is prompt with emails and helped answer my millions of questions! She traveled for our engagement pictures and had mapped out all of the picture perfect spots, making them go very smoothly. She is very thorough and thoughtful. On the wedding day, she managed my huuuge family with ease and took stunning photos that we will cherish forever. I recommend Amy to all of my friends and family.

We absolutely loved working with Amy and her crew! We hired Amy for engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and wedding photography. She has a great personality and is fun to be around. Her pictures turned out beautifully and she is easy to communicate with. She is definitely down to work in any setting/environment. We happened to take pictures on one of the hottest days in July and on one of the coldest days in January. Despite the heat and freezing temperatures, she ensured we had the perfect photos!

Amy was absolutely amazing and I am so happy we had her as our photographer! I sat down with Amy over a long lunch and knew within 5 minutes of talking with her that she was the right choice. She is so warm and easy to talk to that she just puts you at ease, which as a wedding photographer is great since you spend so much time together the day of! She really took the time to listen to the look and style of photographs we were looking for (nothing "cutesy" and tons of black and white shots) and boy did she deliver! Her and her assistant Natalie were organized, energized and ready to go on the day of. They had a plan for getting in all the bridal and family shots before the ceremony and it went so smoothly. When we were not able to do our first look pictures in the location we had planned on, so they immediately had a back up plan and off we went! We also had our dogs with us during the day while we got ready and they did such a great job including them in the pictures and really showing their personalities! Amy even drove us to the venue herself so that we had extra time to capture a few more pictures of just the two of us before the ceremony. She had a "sneak peek" gallery for us three days after the wedding and turned around thousands of pictures for us in less than three weeks (which is amazing since she was right in the middle of her busiest season)! I honestly cannot say enough good things about Amy and her work. We are so happy with our pictures and she really made our day special!

I HIGHLY recommend Amy as a wedding photographer. She is extremely talented and is truly a joy to work with. My husband hates having his picture taken, but she helped him to feel comfortable and also didn't try to push him too much. She gives just the right amount of guidance for posing, but lets us take it in our own direction. She is excellent at reading people and was able to pick up on our vibe as a couple and that of our wedding party -- getting the shots that we wanted without us even thinking to ask for them. She is also a huge help and a lot of fun (she is hilarious) to have around on wedding day. Not only were she and her assistant taking care to capture every moment of the day on camera, but they were also helping keep the day moving, and even helping to coordinate other vendors and events of the day. Amy is hands down the best photographer you could choose for your wedding day. She will deliver beyond your highest expectations. My husband and I got to know her over dinner for a couple hours, and it was the easiest and best decision we made to have her as our photographer. Amy is extremely responsive, organized, and on top of everything. She will work with you to create a timeline that ensures every picture you could possibly want is captured, and then she will manage to take hundreds more that highlight those special candid moments you will remember for years to come. She turned around 1200+ pictures in less than three weeks from our wedding day. There really are no words that could capture how much we appreciate Amy, her talent, and the pictures she took of our wedding. I give her my highest praise and recommendation.

Where to begin with words for Amy. She is an incredible photographer and person and her personality and pictures are both beautiful. We were so happy to have found her. Her photos reflected our day more perfectly then words could have. She was amazing during her first meeting with us. She made us feel totally comfortable and it was as if she understood us and our personality and we just meshed. During our engagement session, we explained that we weren't really into the "cliche" poses and pictures as most and she understood 100% . She made us laugh and feel comfortable and captured the most natural pictures of us. We even got those photos in an issue of Carolina Bride! She was incredible. We got married during a hurricane and when we told her we had to change venues, she didnt even hesitate and said that it will still be beautiful. And it truly was. Every moment she captured for us that day was incredible. We even threw her the task of trying to get a group picture of everyone that was in attendance. And she got it! Brought in her own ladder and everything. She was just incredible and so was her assistant Natalie. They captured moments you didn't realize were moments to capture between special touches, glances and overall capturing the essence of the atmosphere of that day. We cannot thank Amy even enough for the work that she did. We will cherish these pictures and memories for our lifetime to come. Thank you Amy!!

I found out about Sunshower Photography after seeing one of her beautiful photos in Carolina Bride Magazine. I met with Amy and found an instant connection. We chatted for about 3 hours and during that time I just knew she would be our photographer. She is so easy to talk to, very sweet and so much fun to be around. It was important for us to have someone that made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and Amy did just that. She went above and beyond to capture every perfect moment and detail. She is truly amazing and I highly recommend her.

Amy and her team went above and beyond to make our wedding day fabulous! Amy is very organized and goes to great lengths to find out what you're looking for in a photographer. We're so glad we had time with her during our engagement session to get to know her and her style. So many things I could say - Amy is the perfect blend of professional and creative! Also, we got our engagement photo and wedding proofs back way sooner than we thought we would. One last thing - we had some limitations with family (mainly health/mobility issues with aging parents) and Amy and her team put us at ease with our family photos, adapting to what would work for us. We used Amy for our wedding were really pleased with the process and results. When we were choosing a photographer, it was clear that Amy was a straight shooter that was really down to earth. Her approach really aligned to what we were looking for in our wedding; formal yet laid-back at the same time. For our big day, Amy was ahead of schedule, coming early to ensure we had ideas to work around the constraints of the wet weather. We originally found out about Sunshower Photography after stumbling across some photos that she had taken at our wedding venue online. After speaking with Amy via email and on the phone, we knew that she would be the best person to photograph our engagement shoot and wedding. Even though we lived over 400 miles away, Amy earned our trust from the start by taking time away from her family vacation in Annapolis to photograph our engagement pictures. We LOVED Amy at Sunshower Photography! From our first meeting, I knew that I wanted Amy to do our wedding photos. Connecting with the person behind the camera was really important to me. I wanted to feel like our wedding photographer matched our taste level and understood something about our family dynamics and not just who we were as a couple. I felt like I connected with Amy instantly while sharing some stories with her about my relationship with my groom and our unusual and somewhat bittersweet engagement story. Amy immediately expressed sensitivity to what my groom's family had recently been through and how that might affect our wedding day; she was clear about her philosophy as a photographer and a great communicator; her passion for her work was obvious. During the engagement photo session, I was even happier that we had hired Amy. She was awesome at "breaking the ice" between Davis and me and ABSOLUTELY captured who we are as a couple. We were interested in more relaxed, authentic, less "cheesy" engagement images and we absolutely got what we wanted. We had also requested that we use our neighborhood-- which we love-- as the backdrop, and she was so familiar with good places to shoot. We felt like we were in good hands. On our wedding day, Amy perfectly balanced the "formal" shots with the more candid, fun, unposed shots. We were happy with BOTH kinds, which I would assume is pretty unusual. Our "first look" photos are beautiful; Amy got some incredibly sweet photos of our walk back down the aisle that I totally love; and photos from the reception perfectly capture exactly how much fun my groom and I were having (and whoa, did we have fun). I was also so impressed by Amy's creative eye. There were a couple of very particular shots she was intent on capturing-- for example, my bridesmaids dropping snowflake confetti around Davis and me from the banister of a spiral staircase at our venue (we got married in the winter). While she humored all of our whims, she also brought a keen artistic eye, and some of the images she worked hard to capture are magazine-worthy for sure. Amy also dealt with weird weather on our wedding day (January, but foggy, rainy, and warm) with absolute grace AND was patient with me and my wide range of wedding-day emotions. She absolutely let me be myself. I also felt like Amy was just having fun herself, blending right into our party of guests. My bridesmaids totally enjoyed her presence. If you want beautiful, interesting wedding photos and total professionalism, from someone with a clear artistic vision of her own but who absolutely caters to the customer, you should totally hire Amy at Sunshower. Wonderful personality and very appropriate pricing to boot!

Amy is the BEST photographer to hire if you want all of your wedding (or lifestyle) pictures taken in a professional and fun manner! She was prompt with her responses and always made me feel so comfortable. There were times when I even forgot she was there! I'm giving Amy those coveted five stars because she embodies everything a wedding photographer should be and I would definitely use her again, given the chance.

OK, so Amy was an amazing wedding photographer, I feel so lucky that we found her! She was so easy to work with, and she did a great job of getting all the shots we wanted, and going with the flow through a pretty hectic day. We had lots of family and kids running around, and just generally lots of people to keep track of, but she managed all of that beautifully, and we got amazing photos with everybody in them. Also, as an extra bonus, even though she said 3-6 weeks to get our full gallery of photos, she had them ready like, 2 weeks to the day after our wedding. It was an awesome little surprise. Can't recommend her enough!

Amy was the BEST! She is so creative and talented and really captured our day perfectly. She helped us with the timeline and helped showcase the details and favorite parts of our day. She was very easy to talk with and helped us feel comfortable, at ease and like we had been friends for years!

You can see the passion that Amy has for her profession both in her photographs and the way she runs her business. Amy is not only the most likable and easy going person I have ever met, but she is a very talented photographer. Amy was by far our best vendor for our wedding and throughout the wedding planning process! She was my go to person if I had any question about choosing other vendors, what I should wear to our engagement shoot, or finalizing our day of schedule! Amy is truly amazing! When we met with Amy I knew right away after looking at her photos that I wanted to hire her. She scheduled us right away for our engagement session and it was so amazing. She helped us pick out the right outfits/colors and the locations. In addition she went to the location ahead of time just to take a walk around and confirm the best spots to take photos - love her!! Her turn around time for the photos was amazing - it was less than 2 weeks. After the session and seeing the photos I had no doubt that Amy was absolutely the one to photograph our special night. As the weeks got closer her communication was perfect, she even spoke with me on the phone to confirm details. We had our timeline down so well that when she arrived the day of the wedding I was not concerned one bit. I knew she could handle anything along with her amazing assistant for the night. It is literally less than 2 weeks after our wedding day and I already have all my photos back!! Amy and staff photographed our daughter's wedding at The Vineyard at 37 High Holly in October this year. her service and helpful tips were amazing, she could be a wedding planner too! Our guests raved about Amy and her staff over and over again, and THEN we received our photos!!! There are no words to describe what her photographs captured. After seeing the photos my husband said "I feel like I want to send her a huge tip". (How many times does a father of the bride say that after paying all the wedding bills?We were speechless. If you have the chance to hire Amy, do it immediately, it will be the best decision you make in planning your wedding or special event.
