I met. Plus, the grounds are just gorgeous! Amy was more than willing to let us pick the place and she drove all the way out to Boulder for us. She definitely has an eye for a beautiful shot. Small things that may not catch your eye, Amy will make it so beautiful in the pictures she takes. Amy was above and beyond what we were expecting. The experience was so fun! We definitely did take some traditional engagement photos and a lot of fun ones! I love how her style is mainly taking photos of my husband and I interacting. She likes very natural photos, so there weren't any stiff or awkward pictures. The wedding pictures came out wonderful too!!! Everyone commented on how gorgeous the pictures came out. Amy and her assistant are very professional. Amy definitely made it easy for us by meeting with us before the wedding day and making sure we wrote down who we needed to take pictures with (ie. family, friends). It was so easy! Amy has a good eye for using natural light to make the photos glow. We loved Amy so much, we not only used her for our engagement and wedding, we used her for our maternity shoot and newborn photos. We couldn't have asked for such a great photographer to be a part of our lives!

Also we noticed a lot of other photographer's work was more contemporary/modern and almost too unusual for wedding photos-not what we were looking for. That being said, she also only does a handful of weddings each year so the experience can be more personal (and you know that she will be the one taking your photos and you won't be assigned an assistant because the main photographer is already booked). Amy was also the photographer for our engagement photos which was a nice opportunity to see her work prior to the wedding and also for her to meet my husband and I, and better understand how much direction she needed to give us and what we were looking for in our photos. The photos turned out wonderfully and there was a variety of styles. She also met with us to go over plans for the day of the wedding including the timeline and list of photos that we wanted. Her assistance with that took some of the stress out of the process and we were able to ask her what she typically sees at other weddings and what she would recommend. She also inquired about any family dynamics she should know about to avoid any uncomfortable situations during our big day. Every time we met with Amy she met us with a smile on her face and was very friendly and professional. We are very happy with our wedding photos and think Amy captured the day and details very well. The only disappointment was with some of the family shots after the ceremony. We ended up having a pretty windy day and the location of the family formals at the venue also had quite a bit of sun. Some of these photos didn't turn out quite as well as we hoped with wind-blown hair and some sun glares but Amy did her best to still get good shots. My only thought after the fact is we might have been able to move to a different location and have gotten better pictures. That being said, we expressed our concerns with her after we got to see all of the photos and asked her if she would be willing to take a family picture of my immediate family at a later date and she did it at no additional cost since she recognized the problem with the photos as well. She is very reasonable and understanding! Once she had the wedding photos edited we were able to sit down and go over the album pages that she had laid out. Because we moved across the country right after the wedding and had been busy, we took a while to decide on any changes we wanted to make. Amy was patient and allowed us to take as much time as needed. She also was happy to meet with me in person when I was in town to show me samples for the album cover. She was also flexible when we asked if we could upgrade to a larger sized album. The album turned out beautifully and we are so excited to be able to share our special day with friends and family who were not able to attend (as well as those who were able to attend) because of the great photos she took and the high quality album that will preserve our memories for a very long time! Overall, it was a very pleasant experience working with Amy and I think our wedding photos turned out great. We’ve recommended Amy to several other friends and will likely use her again for other types of photo shoots in the future.

Amy made us feel very comfortable and was very good at telling us specific positions and facial expressions we should make in order to get the outcome we wanted. We absolutely loved how our engagement pictures turned out, which made us very excited to have Amy photograph our wedding. We got married in Estes Park early in the morning, so Amy came up the night before to make sure she was on time. We really appreciated how she was so timely and extremely professional the whole day. She came in our cabin to take getting ready pictures and made me feel so calm because she obviously knew exactly what to do. Randy and I both felt completely at ease with her during the whole day. We really loved her personality, how she was really fun and creative, but also very professional. One specific thing that really impressed us was how well Amy was with our family pictures. She remembered everyone's name and was very good at directing people in and out of particular pictures. She talked to me beforehand about whether there were any family dynamics that she should know about, which I really appreciated. Randy and I were very impressed when she sent us our wedding pictures. She did a phenomenal job and she got a ton of variety which we loved. She did a very good job of getting special candid moments during the entire day. Some of our favorite pictures came out of her spontaneously suggesting we stop for a minute before the reception to take some pictures by these beautiful trees in the area. We hadn't noticed that this would be a good picture spot, so we really appreciated that she did and took the initiative to take some pictures there. We would HIGHLY recommend this photographer!! She is extremely talented, and has a wonderful personality which is very pleasant to work with!
